On that day, one of my closest friends and I were going to Parker, and ever since, Window Coffee Bar has been my favorite place to get coffee. While I am disappointed that the Melrose location will no longer be there, I am very happy that I was able to visit it just one more time on its last day (August 23rd). Regardless of which location I have gone to, the staff is always friendly and helpful, the places are clean and well-organized, and the product remains the same high quality. What I liked about the Melrose location was the neighborhood feeling it provided. While it will be missed, I will never forget the amazing memories, and I look forward to seeing what will happen next with Window Coffee Bar. Even with the Melrose location closing, at least we still have the Camelback and Tempe locations to go to. On the bright side, the Camelback location is less than five minutes away from the Melrose location, so it is convenient. Looking forward to seeing what Window Coffee Bar will do next. :)

I couldn't tell you what kind of coffee it was, but it wasn't overpowering. The cashew milk was very creamy, uncommon for alternative milks. The service was very friendly. The place matches the vibe of the Rise Uptown hotel & Lylo that it's attached to. I would say hobo chic. There is a decent sized parking lot that is plenty for off peak hours, but fills up quickly for weekend brunch. The businesses surround a small courtyard with some seating. I had lunch plans at Lydia's, and decided to check out Berdena's beforehand. It's a coffee shop with pastries and breakfast burritos. While the breakfast burritos sounded good, there was no way I could have that and lunch shortly after, so I just opted for the cardamom rose latte. Originally I had wanted to get a pastry as well, but I got there later in the morning so there weren't many options left - maybe another time! It was fairly busy when I went, with a steady stream of customers coming in and out. The seating outside looked enticing, and I saw many people enjoying lounging in the courtyard, but it was getting warm and I didn't want to get burnt. I would definitely come back, but earlier in the day so I can indulge in both a pastry and a coffee!

Welcome to Bang Bang Coffee in Downtown Phoenix! Besides the name and logo, the menu is full of nods to the series, with drinks named Laura Palmer, Laura's Latte, the Red Room, Log Lady, etc. IYKYK. And naturally, the drip coffee is described as "damn fine coffee," in honor of Agent Cooper. The local family who owns the shop lives close enough to ride their bicycles there, and their goal was to preserve the neighborhood atmosphere where baristas know their regulars and people gather to chat over coffee. Having experienced the super-friendly staff firsthand, I'd say they're doing a damn fine job. Note: it's a walk-up coffee window with shaded outdoor seating, rather than a traditional indoor cafe. Plan accordingly, as we live in a city where being outside is not always pleasant. Thankfully the more pleasant weather is right around the corner! (And for the record, you don't have to be a Twin Peaks fan to enjoy this place. It's perfectly charming and likable in its own right!)

The titles of the coffees were a bit confusing, but the barista was able to give me a run-down and flavors and what their most popular ones were. The little home-made Poptarts are delicious, and they'll keep just fine until the next day too. They're crumbly (so beware eating them in the car!), but they're really good and soft. Great real-fruit flavors too. It's darker in there during the day (which I love), making it easier to see a laptop screen. Plus, they keep it nice and air-conditioned. Now we're chatting about the tea and vanilla creamer I use at home, but be sure you use both a packet of Stash double chai as well as one Stash red dragon - it's the mix of both that really seal the deal for an at home chai and then use some of the vanilla oat milk creamer to get that at home chai latte-esq experience. We went our separate ways after giving up our own insights into the world of chai and her handing me the drink I was there for, but I still think about that chai latte from time to time. I spent the next hour or so prattling on with friends, commenting on about how the table fit all of us comfortably and the nice interior space of monorchid was big enough to fit us all without pushing out anyone else.
