I knew I was in for an interesting experience when I spied large jeeps and police cars in the parking lot. Indeed, this cafe caters to vets, military and veterans. The friendly baristas are ex-military. The cafe has a large wall of military patches and a photo wall of people who died in the line of duty. There was a bearded guy sitting at a table with a tripod and phone, perhaps recording his memoir or doing a podcast. Two beefy police officers sat near us discussing their day. I tried this place for the first time a few days ago and had a great experience. I have seen Black Rifle Coffee in stores, and I was excited to see that they have physical locations, too. The barista was very nice, and the coffee was great. The store has a cozy rustic vibe that would be comfortable to work, study, or just hang out in. There is a cool display of coins and patches of various military and law enforcement units that is worth checking out. If you are looking for a cafe that is open later, this place is open until 8 pm on weekdays and 9 pm on weekdays. Favorite coffee company and perhaps company of all time. Finally got to stop into a physical coffee shop and it was better than I expected. Erick (spelling?) was so kind and recommended great drink and lunch options! The espresso and mocha of course were amazing, but so was the egg and breakfast bowl. Loaded up on swag and spent way too much money. Couldn't have worked out any better. The cherry on top was when I pulled in and saw three law enforcement units lined up in the drive-thru and two briefing in the parking lot. Pretty much summed up what I thought it would look like when I arrived. Also, if I were to hangout in a coffee shop and work all day, this is one I could actually do it in. I ordered the coffee on 09/29. They charge $6.99 for 7 to 10 day delivery. Ten days no delivery. Nothing takes 10 days to deliver. You can ship to Timbuktu in 10 days. Her excuse is they are moving warehouses and my order is on the floor. When I ask to cancel the order she says I cant because its on the floor. Well whats that mean. Always been a fan of their coffee and the fact they are/were veteran owned (think they went public). While I did visit their Las Vegas location when it was open (I couldn't find it a few months back when we were in Vegas) we were looking for a coffee place while in PHX area and to my surprise 2 locations popped up in Yelp search, this one and the Mesa location. We tried it out and the coffee was go (well better than I can make at home..LOL) Got the nitro cold brew which was smooth and very good. The location has a large seating area to hang out, work, or lounge and I guess when its cold in PHX they have a fireplace. They also sell merch and coffee there as well. If that isn't reason enough to support the company, the coffee is fantastic ha ha. Very dark and the signature flavor combos that they create are fantastic. My favorite is the smoky Joe. And the sausage and egg waffle sandwich is amazing because the waffle carries candied spots of maple syrup. Delicious! Though they do have a very convenient drive-through, my preference is to sit inside because they do have a fireplace and their merchandise is very fun to look through as they have a small store. I was a loyal subscription customer for many years but their delivery time is terrible so I'm DONE! My most recent delivery is now three and a half weeks PAST the date BRCC emailed me that my subscription had been shipped. Every time I try to call, their recording says there are like 18 people waiting ahead of me. My first time at a Black Rifle Coffee, and it did not disappoint! First off may say how awesome that they honor veterans and give a discount! We owe veterans so much and it means a lot to me that they acknowledge and are so supportive of veterans, a lot of places say they do but Black Rifle really does! The parking lot was spacious and that is so nice as a lot of coffee places have such tiny amounts of parking. The interior is very welcoming, high ceilings, a ton of seating, cozy warm fireplace that is on and you can feel the heat. The seating is varied with tables for 2, and bigger table too. It seems like a great place if you want to get a free and do some work on your laptop. They have a lot of varied and nice merchandise for sale. All the staff was super friendly in a genuine way and not the fake friendly that you sometimes run into at coffee establishments. The hot cocoa with almond milk was delicious. Just the correct temperature, hot but not boiling and defiantly not lukewarm. The hot cocoa was delicious, I could really taste the chocolate, it had almost a dark chocolate flavor which I really like. It was just the right sweetness as well. It opened about 3 months ago, and I think this Arcadia location is great. It's a great alternative if you looking for something different from the Dutch Bros, Black Rock or Starbucks experience. First time ordering matcha here.. was confused by the color when the girl handed it to me at the drive thru, so I said "isn't matcha supposed to be green?" and she said "the milk changes the color" so I said oh ok, thank you! Ok love this place! My twin took me here the first time and then I brought SBL here. So far this place has made the best coffee to date. We are coffee lovers and we go all over trying out new places on the weekend so I have a few to compare it to. I ordered the raw honey and vanilla latte. Maybe not to exciting sounding but once it touches the lips it's like I turn into a lobster with my hands/pinchers saying I need, I need! Sbl ordered a blood orange tea and he loved it so much. He said he would absolutely order that again and I myself did order the same thing again because it's that ridiculous. The staff remembered me which was cool and we were able to talk a bit again. Great coffee shop with a wide variety of drink and food selection. I came here to work while my husband and his friend were catching up. There's plenty of seating and they had a great variety of merchandise to purchase including coffee bags. I ordered a hot medium vanilla latte and a hot large batch brew of black coffee with two honey hot sausage biscuits. The vanilla latte was very good and the espresso itself is more fruity than I was expecting. The batch brew was good, not too strong, but not weak either. The biscuits were so delicious! I could eat that for the rest of my life. A simple sandwich but packs a lot of sweet n salty flavors. The service was so friendly! Kathy behind the register was so sweet and approachable. Joe behind the counter was also very friendly. They also offer a veterans/first responders discount! Overall, a great place for a great cup of coffee and food.
