Another stop on my coffee passport adventure! One thing I really enjoyed about this shop was how much they support the local community. They have artwork from local artists available for purchase and business cards from other local businesses displayed throughout the space, which gave it a welcoming, neighborhood feel. As for the coffee, it was okay. I tend to gravitate toward shops with more creative and unique specialty drinks, and this spot was a bit more traditional. I didn't have a great experience at Fillmore Coffee Co. The interior was noticeably dirty, with overflowing trash bins that were pretty unpleasant. My Mexican mocha was also underwhelming. The coffee lacked the rich, aromatic flavor I'd expect, while the chocolate took a backseat to the nutmeg. The service was friendly enough, but with so many other cafés in Downtown Phoenix, I wouldn't go out of my way to return. read more

Lukewarm service AT BEST. Wow, I really was inconveniencing these people by trying to get an espresso and a bagel. I get that it's early on a Saturday but c'mon.... I would describe the Fillmore as "fine" - really nothing was bad but nothing to write home about either. The coffee flight allows you to pick any 4 coffees from a pretty extensive list. The chai and the mocha were great. The latte and cap tasted exactly the same, so I wish I chose better there. They are very large (prob 6-8oz), so I would only recommend this if you plan on hanging around for a while. The açaí bowl was pretty basic but good. The fruit was fresh. Granola somewhat stale and not giving the crunch needed for this kind of dish. My husband liked the nitro cold brew. The ambiance was ok. Lots of available tables and a large dining shared table. The back corner where you pick up your food and drinks reeked of urine which was quite off- putting. Really hard to get that smell out of your nose and then want to eat/ drink. The chicken Caesar wrap is the best I've had in my life! The flavors from the chicken and the salad in a perfectly pressed/toasted wrap were so amazing. We ended up going two mornings in a row and of course I ordered the same thing :) all sandwiches came with a side of chips which went well with the wrap. As one previous reviewer said, Fillmore Coffee is "fine". I wholeheartedly agree with that assessment, but just as it relates to the quality of the drinks relative to the price. It very much has a neighborhood coffee shop feel to it and the service matches that vibe - it's really friendly and welcoming. We ordered a breakfast sandwich, an iced oat milk latte, and an oat milk matcha latte. The sandwich was good, but we weren't a fan of the chutney and if we were to order it again, we'd do so without the chutney. Overall, it's a breakfast sandwich with eggs, bacon, and cheese, so you really can't go wrong. I believe it was on a ciabatta bun. The espresso for the iced oat milk latte tasted a bit vegetal. I commonly associate the flavor with running another shot through a puck that has already been extracted. To be clear, that absolutely did not happen - I watched them prepare the puck fresh. It just had that flavor, which I'm not a fan of. Perhaps the machine needs a flush/cleaning or the beans have been sitting in the hopper too long? The oat milk matcha latte was okay too. Oat milk (depending on the brand) doesn't really froth as nicely as whole milk, but the matcha latte looked like it had warmed up oat milk poured in with some big bubbles floating on top. It definitely wasn't a very good froth, even by oat milk standards. Overall, it was fine. We both have a slight preference for the drinks at Press, which is nearby. read more

It says one hour parking only. I parked 1 block away free street parking so I didn't have to move the car. 10/10 recommend! read more

I was impressed by this place! Highly recommend! Came here because it was walking distance from our hotel and wanted to try the coffee and a breakfast item. I was intrigued by the chicken goat cheese and butternut squash burrito. I love that combo and they did it justice!! The chicken was so good and seasoned. Not bland! It took a minute to come out so it wasn't just warmed up, it was fresh. It was a good value too. i was surprised at the cost. You get A LOT of food for like $10. Very filling and tasty! Always great service, everyone is always so friendly. Great go to for coffee, smoothie, açaí bowl, breakfast or a quick snack. They offer vegan foods as well as plant based milks. My only complaints are they have on multiple occasions ran out of items. Like Saturday or Sunday. They'll have no food! I'd love to see them offer more vegan friendly to-go foods and or meals. But otherwise I'll continue to come for the coffee & smoothies. read more

I visited this coffee shop recently and was pleasantly surprised! I had a really good iced mocha and it was about $6.50 for a 20 oz., which is solid considering how pricey some coffee shops in the area are. The atmosphere is also great. The shop itself is pretty big and the tables are decently spaced out. This was a great spot to get some work done! Also, the walls were decorated with art that I believe was for sale. I went at around 9:00 AM and it didn't get too busy. Looks like most people took their coffee to go. There's metered parking off to the side. It's a bummer that there's a two-hour limit because I definitely could've stayed here for much longer. Super positive experience and would definitely come back in the future! read more

I stayed in an AirBnB close by to attend a conference at the convention center. My first day I stopped in for breakfast and was very happy I did. I got the breakfast burrito, which was very fresh and hearty for a day of walking. The service was outstanding and I went back every morning of my stay. Quality and taste wise, both the food and drinks were just OK, and for the price they were not that good. The service was also OK, they were nice but not that attentive. The inside decor was cool I would say, and most of the customers were young educated people which was expected considering the location. This coffee shop is conveniently located near the U of A downtown Phoenix campus, and there is a small garage right next to it for convenient parking. The aesthetic of the shop is quite nice with eclectic paintings on the wall and plenty of indoor seating if you'd like to sit and work. There is also some outdoor seating as well, which is nice. I appreciated that the barista was helpful and that they had seasonal specialty drinks that sounded fun. I ordered the Jack and Sally as well as a lemon poppy seed muffin. I wasn't a huge fan - the drink was a little on the sweet side to the point where I couldn't taste the coffee as well, and the coffee itself was kind of acidic. The muffin was fine. Overall, if you're looking for a coffee shop in the vicinity, I would recommend Xanadu coffee, which is also fairly close to campus. I probably wouldn't come back here on my own. read more
