Pretty standard place . Nothing special about them . I got a latte and was mediocre nothing special tasted pretty bland and tasted like the espresso wasn't any special kind of roast. I do like the amount of games they have and their leave a book took a book system they have a strong library . It's small and cozy I came for live music but had to try to coffee . I wouldn't come back unless it was for an event there with music definitely not for the coffee . I knew it was a cash grab when they were charging for single Madeline's the ones you can grab at like Costco . Def better places in the area

The most adorable café, does have minimal seating by indoor and outdoor was plenty for us. They have a variety of breakfast items along with drinks. I enjoyed a vanilla Matcha and a breakfast burrito. It was a great pick me up to start the day.

Amazing good portions for the money I got the breakfast burrito there was eggs bacon cheese and potatoes. The roasted chilies were so good on the burrito ,

Firstly, Quin was absolutely kind and very helpful in choosing a tasty coffee. The outside is calm and there are seats to sit, but we were visiting for three days from California staying at a hotel nearby so everything we got was to go. I had a lavender latte with oat milk and a caramel late of sorts, boyfriend had vanilla iced iced coffee with whole milk. Quin and his staff are so hospitable, so inviting and made us feel at home every visit. They had live music and a walking food tour Saturday when we swung by. I love how they are supporting local artists and creating an inspiring space for artists to connect and promote themselves. I'd definitely be back, and the drinks were all the perfect level of sweetness and coffee balance.

Ambiance: 4/5 Coffee: 4.3/5 Service: 3/5 Price: 2.5/5 Overall: 3.5/5 This was a cute little shop, it had a sitting area with a bunch of board games. Loved the coffee, service was good and quick just thought the barista was a little quiet but nothing wrong with that!

Did not like the coffee (drip). Other roasts might have been better. The breakfast sandwich was solid though. Kinda pricey thought.

We were looking for a spot to spend an hour and this coffee spot was a perfect find. The enclosed patio was perfect since the cafe is inside a larger building. The seating was shaded and extremely comfortable. Daisy was well behaved while we were inside ordering and was greeted with affection. The staff welcomed us all, offered recommendations and are knowledgeable.

This is a cute little local cafe that I had never heard about before! It is only because I ate lunch around the corner and looked at Google maps to map out my route there that I happened to notice this place pop up on the google map. Adjacent to the room with the coffee bar is another room that has more seating, books, board games, and a set up for live music. The coffee was great (I had a cappuccino), as was the service. The cool thing about this cafe is that they also sell unusual canned fish (like tuna belly and trout paté) and have an interesting selection of cheeses. This is in addition to the different kinds of croissants and other pastries they sell. I asked the server about this and she said that the former owner had a passion for these foods. I heard that there is a new owner though and I hope they don't do away with interesting details like this!

Came with my boyfriend since he was participating in their open mic night and it ended up being a great experience! The vibes were very intimate and the staff was super friendly. My friend and I had a beer while we watched (I myself am not musically inclined...), and the staff joined in as accompaniment as people played. There's lots of board games and books as well and the setting is very cozy. Apparently the open mics are every Friday, so I hope to stop by again in the future!

I came here for the first time to meet for a local community Ugly Christmas Sweater walk and I'm glad I did. Their black tea was yummy. I love that they fresh brew their tea, it totally makes a difference.

Before getting here for the first time today I'd gone to another coffee shop in the area where I received terrible customer service after asking what flavors they had since it wasn't listed anywhere. Anyway, one of the first things I noticed at Cactus Cloud is a flavors menu, how smart of them! Frankly, for me it was a sign this will be one of my top spots for getting coffee and staying for some leisure. Also, I appreciate that the cashier was nice. I love the feeling of being in a "city" you get from sitting in the front patio. The sugar free vanilla syrup I had in my capuccino tasted good. Thanks for running a customer-friendly business!

I've only heard great things and it was such a pleasure to make a visit. The interior is ultra modern, and art-centered. On a Wednesday morning, there was one staff member holding it down and a wait/line with about 5-6 people, so the wait was about 15-20 minutes in total-- including ordering and waiting for drinks. There was mainly only paid street parking options, but it wasn't hard to find any right in front of the shop. I got two drinks: Más and Abeja, to try their matcha and coffee, and really thoroughly enjoyed both. The matcha is a little bit on the milkier side, but I did enjoy that it was completely unsweetened, and leaned on the vanilla cold foam for a light sweetness. I think I enjoyed the coffee more personally, as the honey paired super well with the espresso and oat milk. The espresso is very good. I would come back if I was in the area, I just wish the parking situation was a little different!

The ambiance, drinks, and service were all great! There is an entrance to Lola Coffee from Roosevelt and another from the back near parking spaces. There is a restroom near the back entrance, and the start to the line to place an order is right near the front entrance. I saw in one of the comfy chairs while I waited for my former student to arrive. At that point, we moved to a regular table and then went and ordered drinks. She ordered a coffee, and I ordered a lemonade. We both enjoyed our drinks which were ready very quickly. There were smaller and larger tables, and there were also countertops along with business cards and marketing items at the back of the room on a thin table. Lola Coffee began with humble beginnings going back to 1992 with a cart, then Lux Coffee, and eventually Lola Coffee downtown. Now, there is even a second Lola Coffee location in Arcadia near 40th Street and Indian School. Today, they serve coffee, pastries, and breakfast. The Downtown Phoenix location hours are weekdays from 6:30 AM to 7 PM and weekends from 7 AM to 7 PM. You can see their menu, history, photos, and more on their website (https://lolacoffeebarphx.com). While I had trouble choosing between a lemonade for a cold beverage or hot chocolate for a warm beverage, it's great they have so many options. Again, try them for drinks, breakfast, or pastries. Their staff is so helpful and the actual restaurant is quite welcoming to everyone.

Absolute Perfection! Hands Down the Best Coffee in Arizona!…read more My husband and I are avid flavored latte lovers, and wherever we travel, we make it our personal mission to hunt down the absolute best lattes in the area. Now that we live here, we dedicate one day a week to exploring a brand-new local coffee shop. We've been living in Arizona for 7 years now, and after visiting The Coffee Builders in Phoenix this week, my only question is: Where has this place been all our lives?! This incredible hidden gem is tucked away in the Warehouse District and is a bit out of sight--you'd likely never just stumble across it unless you were explicitly looking for it. But the moment you walk through the doors, you are transported. The architectural design is completely unexpected, modern, and striking--especially the gorgeous, geometric upside-down wooden pyramids stretching across the ceiling. It creates an upscale, unique atmosphere unlike anywhere else. Now for the main event: the drinks and food. I ordered the Orange Blossom Latte and my husband ordered The Slopes. Both drinks were absolutely outstanding. They were rich, velvety, thick, and incredibly creamy with deep, distinct flavor profiles. Best of all, they weren't overly sugary--which is huge for us since we typically prefer our coffee at half-sweetness. To pair with our drinks, we tried the Blueberry Bourbon Maple Pastry. It was phenomenal: flaky on the outside, light and pillowy-creamy on the inside, beautifully balanced, and generously loaded with fresh blueberries. The staff was highly professional, exceptionally welcoming, and deeply knowledgeable about their shop and everything on the menu. From this day forward, The Coffee Builders is officially our #1 favorite coffee shop in AZ. Do yourself a favor, make this a top priority on your bucket list, and treat yourself--you will not be disappointed!
