As a GCU grad, Luana's has been a go to for quite sometime (Trivia Thursdays!)! I live 20+ min away now, and I still find time to stop in for some coffee. I love the Luana's Signature Latte, and I get it every time I'm here (see photo)! Although, their vanilla matcha latte is yummy, too. I got my boyfriend a cold brew + whole milk. I recommend getting a sweetener or syrup to pair with that! We were working from Luana's for a bit, so we got a pepperoni pizza to have while we worked. It's a standard pizza in my opinion, but it tastes great paired with the dive bar ambiance! If you're feeling more of a pastry, their brownies are so rich and fudgey! Speaking of the ambiance, they are also have a bar with a nice selection of local brews, if you're going for more of that vibe! There's a pool table and decor that makes you feel like you're at your neighborhood dive! Beautifully curated interior vibes. Went here when it was more coffee shop in the daytime and would love to come back for a drink at night. Great place to hang out and do some work. Taking off a star only because my friend ordered a pizza and they forgot it not once, but twice. By far, my new favorite coffee house in Phx! They do have a parking lot which is nice but the moment I stepped in, I truly said "Woah!" It's such a cool vibe inside and loved how cozy it felt. It's got that cool laid back feeling and great for wfh, studying, or catching up with friends. It does get loud so don't expect to take work calls here. Atmosphere is super cool in here, lot's of retro items and mismatched furniture. It feels very homey, like you're at the home of an avid antique collector. I met up with some friends here and tried their cocktail "my friends over you," which was perfect, it was like an alcoholic taro milk tea! What a cool spot! I can' t believe it took me so long to check this place out and I will definitely be returning. It is an absolute vibe. I knew of Luana's and when I saw them make Yelp's Top Places to Drink in the Valley, I knew when I was meeting up with a colleague, it was a perfect opportunity to check them out. It did not disappoint. From the moment I parked (They do have their own lot) and walked up, I knew it was going to a new fave. The inside is so eclectic and cozy. It's definitely a bit darker with the front getting most of the natural light and better option for certain work or reading and alco includes various couches and table seating. The back seating is a bit darker and great for getting together or laptop work, but maybe not bright enough for certain tasks. The space also features a bar and a pool table and of course as the name suggests a great spot or option to enjoy or beer or cocktail. The space is already so cool during the daytime, but absolutely an awesome option for evening or nighttime beverage. I had the, "It's not you, it's me" with oat milk, which is a honey lavender latte and was delicious. I had it hot and the foam was perfect, not to mention beautiful latte art. I shared the breakfast pizza and a pecan sticky bun with my colleague and the bun was delicious and warmed but the pizza was absolutely stand out. I have had breakfast pizza before, but this blew me away. It was packed with fixinings and had so much flavor. I had garlic ricotta, veggies, sausage, jalapeno and just a lot of flavor. I would return for coffee alone, but this pizza was next level. The bun was tasty as well, but the za stole the show. We got some ice coffee to go and the cups each had a unique label with a fun quote or saying, which I thought was an awesome shot and of course great photo moment. The staff was so friendly and wonderful through the whole visit. We hung out for about an hour in a half and did some work and there was a steady flow of patrons. The menu sported lots of options and fun offerings, I can't wait to return and will definitely keep them on my rotation. read more

The ambiance was so nice, it's such a cute place right off the back so many places to sit with that cozy feel, it's also a bar and I can see this being a fun place to be at night. Ill be honest the vibes are immaculate, tons of seating areas, mood lighting, couches, a pool table, great coffee drinks, but the food is ok.I got the Rexfast which is fried rice spam and eggs, but the rice was really dry, the spam was also overcooked, and I tried my friends bbq chicken pizza. That was also dry and just ok. But for coffee I got the It's not you it's me which is a latte with lavender and honey and that was really delicious. I also tried my friends expresso martini and that was excellent. So I think i would recommend the drinks here and it's a great place to people watch and study if you have noise canceling headphones. Went out yesterday night for a little date night, to Luana's Beer and Coffee I've been here before but only got the bbq chicken pizza and loved it but yesterday I wanted to try all new things! We ended up going for the basic college girl as an app and we really enjoyed it! The focaccia was so soft and the apples were so fresh, it went perfect with the brie and fig jam. We wanted to share the pizza and sandwich and it was so filling!! The pizza was delicious and had that hint of hot honey which I loved! Next time I need to try their wings!! After we tried the "when it was up in the smoke" turkey and bacon sandwich, I loved it!! Such a great sandwich!! It came with mac salad and some chips, but the mac salad is where it's at, IT IS OH SOOO GOOD!! Definitely will also be trying put their sweets next time, I was so full by the end. I cannot say enough, good things about this place. From the eclectic curated antiques, to the menu design, to the food options- no notes. My boyfriend and I went for breakfast and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and drinks. I got the Voldemort - a "dirty soda," and he got a s'mores latte. He normally drinks black coffee and was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable his drink was. I wish we had more time in town, we would have loved to stop by for a late night drink. The vibes in here are soooo cool. I love it. Grunge but clean and different and just yes. It's darker for sure so when we walked out at 2pm it was like walking out of the movie theater. I love the menu. I got the ex-gf! It actually wasn't overpoweringly sweet. When the whipped cream melted, I tasted more of that than anything else though so maybe eat that first lol. But great drink, it definitely got me caffeinated and it wasn't very expensive compared to other coffee shops. Drink came out so fast. The cashier didn't know what gluten was I will say... asked if the whipped cream was okay for me to eat. Which is a definite yes, no gluten in any whipped creams. Would be nice to have staff knowledgeable of allergies more. My friends got the Kyle's favorite and said it was definitely sweet - they were told it was a sweeter one, too. Looked yummy. This has got to be my favorite coffee shop in Phoenix. This place has so much character, and the baristas are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food is great, and trivia on Thursdays are so much fun!! Truly a gem, and I feel honored to have discovered it on Yelp. Not only are the drinks here good, but again the food is soooo good. My friends and I usually order the "Best I ever had" pizza and a dozen of their golden wings and good lord does the pizza live up to its name, probably one of the best I've ever had, plus favorite drizzy song shoutout! Their sandwiches, served with chips and macaroni salad, are equally delicious. Honestly you can't go wrong with anything off their menu. Parking is usually easy to find, expect on trivia nights. If you are concerned about parking, there is free covered lot right across the street. This coffee shop is unlike any other I've been to, it's super unique and laid back. The music is always great and they often play fun movies on the screens. It's a perfect spot for any occassion, whether its a date, catching up with friends, or getting some work done (even though Wi-fi never works for me, and always end up using my hotspot but still 100% worth it). I was really impressed by everything about Luana's. The ambiance is fantastic with dark tones and a cozy environment. The spot doubles as a coffee shop and bar. It is a great space to get some work done or hang out with friends. I tried the cinnamon roll and the breakfast pizza. The cinnamon roll was super sweet and was served perfectly when it was heated up. The breakfast pizza was loaded with toppings and had a very complex flavor profile. The classic breakfast tasting notes were met with a slight kick. I chose the Luana's Signature for my drink. The coconut milk added an extra sweet note to the drink with a chocolatey finish. The service was also really great. The staff was very friendly and kindly brought our food and drinks out to the table. It is worth noting parking is a challenge here. By far my favorites at this place... The Thai Chile wings! Better than any wing shop. The Breakfast Pizza ,(night or day) on Cauliflower Crust is great and has a little heat. Luana's is a laid back coffee shop bar fusion. It's dim, has a pool table and an eccelectic menu of food and drinks. They didn't have a big non alcoholic menu but they made me something which was awesome and always a nice way to handle the request when the menu doesn't accommodate. I just wanted was a drink to have in front of me, didn't need anything special. Edited to add since the owner seems to think I'm knocking them for being busy. The place is CRAMPED and loud which when crowded is a problem. I'm all for businesses being busy but if the fit is too tight it's not comfortable for everyone and that's worth mentioning for others who might feel the same. Fun place but I think it doesn't know whether it wants to be a coffee shop or a dive bar. There is no issue with either but it's loud and crowded which makes it hard to have coffee shop vibes. The food and drinks were ok but I definitely think that this is somewhere better enjoyed during off hours if you're not looking for a crowded bar vibe. read more

One of my favorite spots in town! It has the vibe of a 90s dive bar with quiet, moody lighting and a quaint atmosphere. It feels like you're visiting a friend's house, and the service reflects that. The owner really wants to keep things affordable, which makes me feel right at home when I go there. The coffee and food are amazing, too! My favorite lunch sandwich in town is found here - it is called "When It Was All Up in Smoke." I like to experiment with different drinks here as I'm always up for trying something new, whether it's coffee, matcha, or energy drinks. They're all amazing! Good place to study, not a good place to order food. First of all, the surest way of a clean establishment is the bathroom. The bathroom was NASTY. The urinal looked like it had been treated as a toilet, the toilet had stains everywhere. I think they keep the lights off in there because they think we won't notice? I was very grossed out. I called in for a to go breakfast order and my order was ready within 15 minutes. Luanas is located right off Thomas with its own parking lot. It's a nice cozy homey vibe inside it felt like I was walking into my friends parents house in the early 90s lol The customer service was super friendly and I was off with breakfast. The latte was great, not bitter or acidic and a good ratio of oatmilk and flavoring. The Rexfast is buttered rice with Spam topped with over easy eggs. It was demolished as soon as I got home with it. The side of Mac was good but a little heavy on the onion. I'll definitely be stopping in again soon! read more

Luana's has been one of my favorite coffee shops since moving to Phoenix a few years ago! I loved going to their old location and was sad when they closed - so happy that they are opened back up again and doing so well. The workers here are always so friendly, and the vibes are great. They have a big menu of drinks - their drinks are mostly one-sized and are pretty generous! I think my favorite might be their chai lattes. Their sandwiches and salads are so good! The portions for the salads are huge. Inside the cafe, the lighting is dim, the bathrooms are fun, and there are various types of seating like couches, counters, tables, etc. The parking lot here at the new location can get pretty full since they tend to be busy. However, I always find a spot. I come here to get work done a lot, and this is not the place for you to do work if you don't like loud music. They have a bar and a lot of people come to just hang out, so it's a pretty loud environment. However, I'm fine with loud noises, so it works out for me. Def recommend! read more
