    Latte and brownie with nuts

Really good espresso, I got a latte with their spiced brown sugar syrup. Also got a brownie but wasn't anything special. Cute location with friendly staff!

We needed an afternoon pick-me-up after a full morning of errands, so we stopped by Lola Coffee--a local favorite--and it did not disappoint. The coffee was incredibly fresh, with beans that were clearly just ground, and you can taste the quality in every sip. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, perfect for a little scrolling or catching up on emails. A great spot to recharge in the middle of the day!

Decided to check out this local coffee shop. Nice vibes. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and a breakfast burrito. They had a breakfast burrito of the day special but I opted to build my own. I had a burrito with eggs, cheese, spinach and mushroom with salsa on the side. The burrito was delicious and I enjoyed my latte.

Came in today right before my nail app across the street to grab some coffee and a little snack and I am so pleasantly surprised! The coffee is great, the espresso quality is smooth and even with an extra shot, the flavors in my vanilla oat latte really balance out well! The staff are all so sweet and the coffee comes out QUICK-- like surprisingly quick! I barely finished paying and my drink was done! The chocolate babke knot I got to go was also sooooo yummy! They warmed it up for me and it was so melty, soft, warm and delish. Love the location of this spot too, on Roosevelt but in the suburbs area which makes it feel cozier than the inner city cafes. Will definitely be back!

Needed a pick me up on a gloomy Sunday afternoon. Somehow, I easily found curbside parking nearby, right in front of Sosoba less than 150 ft away. I'm a sweet tooth and opted for the medium pecan pie latte, one of the fall menu drink specials, for $6. I didn't love the aftertaste of the drink that likely came from the pecan syrup. The interior was peaceful, especially with the ample natural sunlight and view of the cars passing by on Roosevelt. I stayed for a few hours, savoring my drink and staying hydrated with their self-service water station, doing work on my laptop taking advantage of their 4 outlets against the main wall. The restroom requires a key, found hanging by the entrance to the kitchen, attached to a ladel (it's hard to miss lol). I loved the sense of serenity here. The music wasn't playing too loud, and those that gathered came to socialize, read, and do work. It felt like a perfect community space. Didn't love my particular drink but am down to try other options, incuding their cafe latte likely with a different syrup next time.

A lovely coffee shop in historic downtown Phoenix. The staff were friendly and helpful with drink and food suggestions.

Definitely a cute coffee shop in downtown Phoenix, with delicious baked goods and a beautiful mural inside. Workers were kind, however, the coffee and drinks are pretty expensive. My chai tea latte was pretty flavorless, but the iced latte was delicious.

The coffee here is so delicious. They do this espresso whipped cream that they put on top of your coffee and it's delicious and delectable!! I had their version of a white chocolate mocha, made with oat milk. I came here twice on my trip in town to visit my daughter. all of the workers are so nice and so helpful, it's a cute little vibe inside perfect spot with couches and cute little tables and chairs. There was also an outside patio area as well.

Great coffee spot!! Loved my iced vanilla latte and yummy blueberry muffin. Lots of great drinks and pastries to choose from. Friendly staff and seating inside and out. Free parking in a lot right around the corner.

Cute little coffee shop on 3rd Avenue. Great place for a quick pick me up. Ambience is really cool and comforting, not to mention great coffee drinks and fresh daily homemade pastry. We will return

This place was great! It was my daily go to coffee place during our stay. Hot drip coffee was delicious and tried matador (cinnamon mocha), tasted amazing! Didn't try their food but looks enticing. They had baked goods and a kitchen. Fast and easy to order, quick service. Clean place with plenty of seating and outdoor seating too. We'd be back when in town!

Always satisfied, I love how the honey lattes aren't too sweet as an espresso enthusiast the beans are the perfect roast! 10/10

The coffee and beans are roasted to perfection, honey latte isn't too sweet just how I like it. 4 shots of espresso is the standard latte, and they make lattes exactly how it's supposed to be done!

There's no place to sit inside, but there are two nice parking spaces out in the front since it's a busy parking lot by a gym. They have several cases of sweet options, cakes that you can customize on the spot, and pastries that are topped fresh to order. They also have so many cake pop flavors. I didn't even know how to decide! The owner, Melissa, was so sweet to me! I asked her questions about the business, and what they do for catering. I love supporting local businesses, especially bakeries because I'm a baker myself. I talked to her about customizing an order for my place of employment in the next couple of months and she was totally on board to customize it how I wanted. Aside for my too good bag, I ended up buying an ube cake pop and a Boston cream tart, and both are out of this world! On Fridays and Saturdays, they do buy one get one free cake, pops, so it's a perfect opportunity to try all of the flavors! Definitely try this place, you will not be disappointed!

Everything looked great, but it was a such a warm day so my mom and I opted for something light. The Coffee Cake was indeed as light and airy as it looked. The cake layers tasted like a sponge cake with slightly dry edges (a little over-baked). I think the espresso layers were mousse and not too sweet. It was topped with a chocolate covered espresso bean that was tasty as well. Overall it was a nice afternoon treat. I would like to go back sometime and try their Japanese cheesecake, and their raisin bread loaf too.

In our day's Sunnyslope business, our niece took us to Kris Frybread. Arriving we saw Dawn's. She said Dawn's gets high ratings too. After our excellent Kris meal I made my way to Dawn's. I am infamous in the family for my dessert rxtravagance. But I share with all at our table. Take your choice! Our niece got cannoli, I got lidded shortbread custard cups, vanilla and almond. Sweet D got a cherry and an apple turnover delivered into the box. It is five days later. My sugar intake has dropped a lot. In our home baking we cut sugar ingredients by half. Older Hopi bakers put in enough sugar for a hint of sweet in their cookies. Modern bakers glaze them. I'll take those traditional ones. When I say the shortbread cup with custard was too sweet for me, that's my 21st century palate speaking. The almond cup was a buy-again item for me, still sweet, very almond. The cherry turnover was flaky, the filling tart, oozing fillng and cherries. The gold medal, blue ribbon "I'd buy this again, for sure is the apple turnover. I can't speak on the customer service as we never left our table and our waited just walked over and got what we needed. We were pretty stuffed from our massive meal, but we decided on sharing a cup of gelato just to satisfy our sweet tooth. I peeked inside as our table was right at a little walkway from the restaurant to the bakery. Gelato is just one of many things they serve here. They also have all your typical Italian desserts. Cakes like tiramisu, pastries like Italian flag cookies, cookies like Italian wedding cookies, cannolis of different varieties, and of course gelato. What was suggested to us if we wanted gelato was the hazelnut flavor. I was expecting a little cup for the 6 of us just to get a taste, but what he brought over was a massive serving. I don't know how many scoops it was or even how much we even paid, but we all got plenty with some even left behind. Now this gelato was life changing. Probably the best I've had in the states. I know it's gotta be way better in Italy, but I'll take what I can when I can. Think of a Ferrero Rocher but in gelato form. It was delicious and I couldn't get enough of it. It wasn't overly sweet and it had a little crunch with bits of chocolate and hazelnuts. My sweet tooth was extremely satisfied after having dessert here. On my most recent visit, I stopped by on a Thursday. Parking tends to be busy in their complimentary lot, but you'll find a spot. Ambiance (4/5): The Sicilian Baker is connected to The Sicilian Butcher. It's a small bakery, with only a few seats. More of a grab-and-go type of spot or the source of your dessert if you're dining at the restaurant. While small, the decor and ambiance is nice. Service (3/5): A little bit of bad luck, but on my most recent visit, they were having trouble with their refrigeration so no gelato was available. While interacting with the staff, it was an average experience. I will say that the service was much better in the restaurant. Drinks (N/A): I only got dessert, but they do have coffee and a few other beverages available. Food (4/5): The Sicilian Baker is known for its cannolis, tiramisu, gelato, and lobster claws (dessert, not real lobster haha). On my most recent visit, I had a cannoli. They have your classic cannoli but also a nice variety of other fillings including pistachio, Reese's, and more. A+ for creativity, though I decided to stick with the classic. Solid. In fact, all of the desserts I've had here over the years have been quite good.
