I was searching the streets for a quick lunch and a decent tea. Now I don't know how to address the person at the register, Barista/Cashier, but they were very personable. Someone would say overly friendly but I can dig it. Ordered the Moroccan mint iced tea and the Breakfast Burrito. One personal preference of mine is cooling down the tea before pouring over ice. The ice melts rapidly which I've had other coffee shops do to me all the time. It's a pet peeve of mine but it doesn't make sense to ask for extra ice afterwards cause your cup is full to the max. Not the end of the world. I like the fact they have agave and simple syrup for sweetness. I was taking a chance on the breakfast burrito specially when it had cream cheese and a lot going on. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious but too sweet for me. Sweet and Savory sometimes works but not a fan of this one. Of course I wasn't going to not finish it because I was raised not to waste food. Vibe is pretty chill and most definitely a place to catch up on some work. Adding the space for your customers needs some TLC. I know times are tough right now, and all industries are feeling it, so I don't want to be to harsh. Overall, huge selection on the menu and I wouldn't mind giving it another try minus the burrito. Nitro Cold Brew is on the coffee list! read more

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile, and finally had an opportunity to! I ordered the honey cinnamon latte, which was a unique drink from what I typically choose. I ordered a medium because most coffee shops I've been to fill the ice to the brim before adding the coffee, but I was pleased to discover that the ratio of ice to coffee was perfect. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of the minimal outdoor seating (we ended up taking ours to go), they were out of almond milk and coconut milk, and the inside was a little less tidy/fresh than I was expecting (worn down furniture, paintings crooked on the wall, one side of the counter was full of baristas personal items). These minor issues won't stop me from visiting again though. read more

Great find! I came here on a weekday afternoon to do some work, and it was relatively quiet. The only thing you'll hear is the music in the background and their blender every once in a while. I got a hot oat milk cinnamon honey latte, and also tried the oatmeal raisin cookie and the raspberry muffin. Everything was delicious! The latte was not too overbearing in sweetness and it was super foamy. The pastries tasted... healthy? Probably light in sugar (or my wishful thinking). They have chairs and sofas with a bunch of outlets. They also have a loyalty punch card. There is parking directly to the left of the cafe (facing the cafe). Just don't park in a spot that says the name of another business and you'll be fine for hours. I couldn't figure it out, and one of the employees was kind enough to walk out there with me and show me where to park so I could hang out with peace of mind. read more

Fantastic coffee and breakfast egg on cambata bread! Amazing chutney very flavorful. I fly in from Maui and yelped to find good coffee w good egg sandwiches. Huge coffee shop, perfect for studying or to grab a quick drink on the way to work. The Iced Chai Latte was decent (a little too milky) but it was very refreshing. Prices are reasonable for what they give you. read more

I ordered a Mexican Mocha and a breakfast burrito at Fillmore Coffee and both were excellent! I really enjoyed the flavor in both offerings. The burrito was savory while being stuffed with mushrooms, arugula, and feta cheese. A great place to spend some time at the Plant Stand! read more

Super cute coffee shop in walking distance from my hotel! It's located in the same complex as the lofts so you can't miss it. I got an iced honey cinnamon latte and it was really good. Very spacious for studying and employees were nice. The employees said you can park across the street. read more

We are absolutely in love with their nitro cold brew. It's smooth, almost creamy, and pours with a pretty white foam. Try their blueberry muffin, because they are also amazing. There is parking in the garage around the corner (west of the shop.). The best cuppa Joe downtown as far as we're concerned! read more

This spot is a gem! Very cute interior. There's tons of plants everywhere and has some cozy couches that you could sit and enjoy your coffee. I went twice. The breakfast burrito was nice. They had sundried tomatoes and a chutney, which were phenomenal. I'd give the burrito a 3.5/5. I got an iced lavender latte with oat milk, which was phenomenal. I went back a second time and got the latte with pistachio syrup, and that wasn't my favorite. The pistachio syrup is a more subtle flavor. The staff was all really nice and helpful! Overall, a 5/5 experience! Would definitely recommend this spot. read more

The coffee here was really great. I got an iced Mocha and it didn't have any of the bitterness that ruins other espresso drinks for me. But if you're coming here to work, while there is a lot of seating, none of the chairs are very comfortable to sit there for a handful of hours. I would definitely come here to meet friends for a little while, but to work, I don't think I'll be back. read more

I knew I had my eye on this place for a reason, Coffee Flight!! Yeah they have flights and a board in the front from all the options you can choose from, this was the best part. You can choose instead of having a set one done. My sister got a Macchiato, Cubano, Drip and a Flat White. I got a Honey Cinnamon Latte. Everything was good, you could taste the honey but the flavor wasn't overpowering still could taste the coffee. Breakfast I got the Brekkie Scramble and split an Acai Bowl between three of us. Bowl was good but just a little too soupy for my liking, everything ended up sinking. My sister got a Grilled Chicken Panini and it was delicious. We would definitely make a return visit when we return to the area. read more

There's a parking garage right next door with a 1 hour limit. Staff is friendly and helpful. Just ask them for the restroom code or the wifi password. For drinks I've had two fall specials, the "Cinnamon Maple Almond Latte" and the "Salted Caramel Mocha" they were both okay, the mocha was slightly better. For food I've had the "Butternut Chicken Wrap" and the "Chocolate Muffin with Cheesecake." The wrap was absolutely delicious, very savory! The muffin was okay, not as moist as I had hoped and not a lot of cheesecake inside either. read more

This is a cute coffee shop. I stopped by to buy a gift today. They didn't have any bagged coffee at the register of any mugs or gift sets, but after asking the barista she informed me I can buy half a pound or a pound of beans. The decor inside is nice, but barely any seating at 9:00 AM on a Sunday. read more

Fillmore is one of those Cafes that tries too hard to be cool and doesn't make it. The atmosphere, decor reminds me of a spoof on Liberace's mansion; it's just too pretentious and lacking in proper furniture coordination and comfort(has those type of chairs that look too fancy and uncomfortable to actually sit on). The staff acted like they were too important to talk to me and the prices are double Starbucks for lesser customer service, comfort and importantly no later evening hours. Not recommended. read more

The espresso tastes great! I don't know who their roasters are, but they're doing a great job; I'd put it in my top 5 faves in Phoenix. As for the lobby itself, It's spacious, and customers genuinely seem comfortable and energized as they work. But they refer to one of their breakfast items as "brekkie" and I can't get on board with that. Every time I come in I gag a little bit at that word, but then quickly remember how cool everything else is. And how uncool I am, now that I'm no longer a hip undergrad, which is a huge segment of Fillmore's clientele. Nevertheless, this is a solid spot to sip on caffeine and get work done. Or chill on the tables outside. It's all good. read more

Painfully slow service and young female cashier with black hair is rude. I ordered an acai bowl which took 20 minutes and only had bananas. When I asked the cashier she said they were out of strawberries, granola, blueberries and coconut. So basically they were out of everything and didn't let me know. Coffee was good so one star. Update: Response from manager is completely untrue! I absolutely was not told that they were out of granola bc cashier said she didn't know she was out until she started making it. He obviously is lying because if he actually watched any such video he would've seen that I waited for the customer in front of me to order and walk away before asking about the ingredients that were missing and there was no one behind me so no one else could've said anything. Even more reason to not support this small business! Rude employees and rude response from manager!!!! read more

LOVE this place. It is just north of the asu campus and the perfect place to come for a meal and coffee while getting some work done. They have their own kitchen making the food fresh and made to order! It is a relaxing atmosphere, and they have many outlets around making it easy to set up at almost any table. This spot lived up to my expectations! Great service, eclecticism and chill energy overall. The young lady serving me was amazing, didn't get their name but I appreciate her demeanor and attentiveness. I got an iced caramel coffee with a warmed muffin. It was very clean, a few people on laptops...normal coffee house stuff. I really enjoyed the plants, and greenery here. Relaxed music in the background, not too overpriced and overall great service make this a good Downtown spot to check out. Fillmore is a really convenient spot for downtown workers. One of their workers was especially rude today though. It was a long wait for everyone -- no big deal. But as a customer complained about their wait, this worker incorrectly gave my cold brew to her. When I asked if she gave my drink to someone else she just said "I think that's what happened -- could I get you a nitro instead." Sometimes when the cold brew is out they will just give you a nitro instead without asking -- I learned from that that I don't enjoy that drink. I asked for a refund instead. The worker was clearly not pleased and refunded me cash and just tossed the money in my direction. The workers are sometimes a mixed bag of attitudes but this was a bit much. read more

The interior is pretty long with a large number of seating inside the building so we had no trouble getting seated right away by the hostess. We decided on food relatively quickly due to previous experience with the business, however, our waiter never came around to take our orders or even give us water at the table. We saw one girl with dyed hair who unassumingly could have been our waiter since she was in our section but only worked with one particular table and ran to the back after each time, but never addressed our table or came by. We eventually had to flag a different waiter down who was able to help us place the order and service us for the rest of our visit, she also informed us that this other "Waiter" was supposed to help us but she wasn't sure why she never made an attempt to do so after having us wait 20 mins and other tables were being serviced. We ordered Flordian French Toast and Elote Breakfast Burrito (plus a couple sides and drink) which were both really good, and filling. Prices weren't too bad for what we ordered and was able to take our mind off of the rather long wait to get helped. Not sure if we'll come back to this particular location again, but it was nice trying the restaurant out another time.

The cinnamon roll also tasted like a store bought premade roll. It was also kind of burnt and didn't taste like anything. The only good thing was the coffee which I was highly skeptical about because it was serve yourself from a carafe. But it was good and strong. Nice views of the mountains and the patio is dog friendly. I want to like this place because it's in my neighborhood so next time I'll try the eggs dishes. The shower water also never got fully hot. The room had a slightly musty smell, and the carpets would benefit from a deep cleaning. The balcony screen door didn't close tightly, which let a few flies in, and access to the second floor required two sets of stairs since there's no elevator in that section. Even with those issues, the resort's location, views, and overall vibe made the stay enjoyable. With some room refreshes and a bit more maintenance attention, this could easily be a standout property. The setting alone is worth experiencing.

I found a great AAdvantage Hotel deal at the Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort and booked it. While it was a great success of a visit in terms of AAdvantage miles and loyalty points, my actual experience at the hotel itself was less to be desired due to the customer service and a big snafu on their part. I also have Hilton Gold status, though as I booked the hotel through a third party site (AAdvantage Hotels), I could see the stay and the stay history in my Hilton app, but I did not receive any benefits for staying there, which was fine as I didn't expect any anyone. I arrived in person to check in and already reserved and prepaid for a King 1 Bedroom Standard Suite, which had a nice view and reasonably spacious room (but not too much larger than a regular room at another hotel). The room was certainly not upgraded though there was parking available right in front of the entrance. I did not receive anything else at check-in nor did it appear that I'd get my regularly complimentary water. I did pay the daily resort charge which includes high speed internet access, access to the Falls Water Village, an hour at the tennis/pickleball court, an hour at the afternoon golf practice facility, two hours for a mountain bike rental, 20% off seasonal spa services, and 15% off select golf apparel. While I didn't use it, I had easy view and access to the Falls Water Village where you could lounge and play all day on their sun-marked terrace where you could find free-form pools, hot tubs, and cabanas. They even have a 138-foot enclosed water slide. When I checked out, I was told that a bill would be sent to me shortly since I did it on the app early, and when I received the bill, there was a charge for my room at the restaurant at the top of the hill called A Different Point of View. The catch is that I never went to eat there during my stay (or at any onsite restaurant since I live in the area and had my meals offsite). I reached out to the hotel who insisted that I did go there to eat. I promised them I didn't eat anywhere onsite and that they need to look at the receipt and see if it actually has my room number. They confirmed it did and that this meant I ate there. I told them to find my name on it and let me know if it was on there. After several more back and forth conversations, they confirmed it wasn't me and would remove the charge. They then mistakenly charged me double. Then they removed one charge, but it took more than a week before they removed the other charge. By the end of the exchanges, it felt like they were blaming me for their own mistake. While the resort is aged and rather pleasant, there certainly are training issues regarding the customer service offered at this property. I do not plan on staying here again in the future.
