First off all I don't like giving bad reviews especially to a neighborhood joint so I'm giving it three stars because I need to try Scramble again. Also the coffee was surprisingly good. One thing to know is there is no table service. You order at the counter and they have a lot of choices so if you have never been there it's hard to decide while other people are waiting behind you. I came with my mom and we were craving pancakes so again didn't get any eggs which is what they are known for and their breakfast pizzas. So I'll come back to try those. We split buttermilk pancakes and a cinnamon roll. They do have real maple syrup but of course they up charge for the good stuff. The pancakes are ok but don't taste like buttermilk pancakes. They looked good but it definitely tasted like a mix and not a good one. They were way overly sweet. They weren't terrible but just not great. 4/10 on the pancake scale. The cinnamon roll also tasted like a store bought premade roll. It was also kind of burnt and didn't taste like anything. The only good thing was the coffee which I was highly skeptical about because it was serve yourself from a carafe. But it was good and strong. Nice views of the mountains and the patio is dog friendly. I want to like this place because it's in my neighborhood so next time I'll try the eggs dishes. Also they have several veggie/vegan selections so I'll come back for those too and to bring my dog.

Eggceptional Southwest Burro

It's been about 6 years since I was at Scrambles Cafe. Party of three for a Sunday Brunch. Not too crowded at 10, but started to fill up around 11:30 for lunch. Ordered my usual Southwest Burrito with a fruit side. Son had the Hickman Burger with kettle chips. Nephew had biscuits and gravy with hash browns. The Southwest Burrito had egg, cheese, chorizo and a jalapeño cream cheese. Added some additional chipotle to spice things up. Service was very good. There is a surcharge of 50 cents for each egg which is expected given the egg shortage. Coffee was still hot but close toward the bottom of the urn. Overall a good dining experience, but not the five star review as I remember as before.

Great location plenty of indoor and patio seating with vibrant welcoming colors and quirky decor. They have something for everyone and I chose to try the Brizza aka breakfast pizza. What a great decision! The flavors of the Toluca were explosive and the ingredients fresh. Each bite made me want another one. The jalapeño crema and chorizo with peppers and Monterey jack cheese just worked harmoniously. My brother got the Mex Benedict with pulled pork. It looked phenomenal. We did have to get his egg re-cooked as his poached egg was a little over done. The staff was very nice and welcoming and the restaurant clean.

Florentine BenedictYumm Sunday Brunch with my baby! Scramble is always yummy, alway great service and always a relaxed atmosphere. It's half a mile from our house, they have a rewards program you can sign up for and earn points. We had $7 for today brunch so made it under $20. Thank you for the perfect Sunday Brunch scramble.

Warning: its an Order before you sit! As a first timer here, I didn't know this as I came the morning of my bday, but nonetheless the food was great.I also got a Dirty chai w/soy omg! Chefs kiss I could have done w/o the seasoning they put on my hash browns. They were a bit undercooked. The atmosphere was nice clean spacious. Service was great ! Everyones so nice and helpful. Gluten-free accommodations was a must for me and still tasted amazing. Great place!

I'm going to have to say that this was one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while. They keep it simple and streamline the process here. The hostess/barista/order taker was awesome. She was friendly, in a great mood, and made some great drinks. The food came out quickly and tasted great. The whole order and wait for your food was on point at this establishment. Can't wait to eat here again.

One Of The Best Breakfast Places In Arizona. They Have Several Restaurants And I've Been To All Of Them. The Service & Quality Does Not Suffer Based On Location, All Are Equally Great! Their Speciality Drinks And Menu Has Variety And All Are Health Choices. This Chain Is A Must Try!

Wonderful little eatery that offers a pretty nice variety of breakfast items until 2:00 pm. The staff who took our orders were store friendly and knowledgeable if the menu. This is in a sketchy area but don't let this deter you. You will be going before 2:00 PM so you're golden. When you walk in you will walk up to a counter to order and pay. If you are dining in, choose where you want to sit. There are a couple of televisions to watch with no sound. But why come to watch television unless you're at a sports bar? For take out, there really are no seating options just hang out up front until you order comes. They will bring your food to you either way. Patio is dog friendly. They have 2 vegan scramble options and multiple gluten friendly options. I liked my food but must say that the drink area reminded me of a circle K. Not very appetizing. I will say that I love their condiment section. Pretty much everything you need. Give them a try for a brunch option or just breakfast.

Southwest Breakfast Burrito

Stopped by Scramble on a Monday morning as I was in town for a conference. Decided to check it out and get a quick bite as I worked. I ordered the Southwest Bfast Burrito as well as a Maple Cinnamon Latte. Both were delicious! The burrito was the perfect size and extra cheesy. Hash browns were a nice crispy side. Service was fast and I even overheard the manager fix another customer's order because they got confused with the menu (turkey bacon does not mean turkey AND bacon folks haha) Overall I would recommend this spot for anyone looking for a quick AZ breakfast!

California omelette

The only reason why I gave this place a 4 star is because this location does not have the mimosas I was needing. Service was good, food was even better. The ambiance they have the patio with misters (cause you can't have a patio without misters in AZ, where they do that at!) Restroom was clean and the staff were nice and knowledgeable. We ordered the California omelette with hashbrowns and fruit cup BOMB, orange juice BOMB, kids French Toast with JUST EGG BOMB, and forgot what else we ordered. Went back the next day but to a different location.

Response to raw food

Ordered on Uber eats for convenience as we have a baby at home... our French toast came completely cold, raw and doughy... it was so gross and we couldn't even get a refund. Beware ordering to go order. We will never be going here or ordering from there again

Chorizo, green chilies, pico de gallo, scrambled eggs, hash browns and toast!

Now, this morning I had an unexpected invite to this "window coffee place" and since I had the open availability in my schedule and was needing to continue my meeting with my client, it was only a five minute drive, so sure why not. Thinking no biggie I can grab something small, and if I don't like it no sweat off my back its a "work" meeting. So I enter this small coffee establishment, the lighting was bright, the decor was pleasing, and the smell was delicious. I look at the menu and immediately see "cookie machiatto" and so I figure sure why not, grabbed a small (again not a coffee drinker) I let the wonderful gentleman behind the counter know "I like all the Carmel drinks". So he lets me know if I need it sweeter to just let them know they can add more. So I sit down, but started chatting for a good 10 minutes before I take my first sip! Let me tell you, my eyes were huge I immediately said loud enough for the two gentlemen behind the counter to hear, "oh my god this is delicious and I hate coffee". Seriously, I cannot sing the praises of this place loud enough. The flavor was smooth, sweet, with only the slight "bitter" coffee taste. It was fresh, creamy, the only negative I can say is I wish I would have gotten a large!!! I drank the entire thing, did not leave a drop! This is the perfect place for experienced coffee drinkers, the occasional coffee drinker, and the newbie!!! I will definitely be back, will get a large, and maybe try one of their other treats that sell. This place just might make a coffee drinker out of me yet!!! I recommend giving them a try!!!

Very welcoming space in an enormous lobby, and easy to access. Chairs, sofas, bartops, tables... the seating choices are endless. Well lit, with a security guard tucked away to keep watch. The menu is straightforward, all the expected coffee choices, and a more extensive food selection than I'd anticipated. I chose to combine the avocado toast and substitute the toast for an everything bagel. They asked if I'd like chili flakes on that and... of course! The cappuccino was excellent, with dense, stiff foam, deep flavor, and perfectly portioned. The avocado bagel was phenomenal, with good, chunky avocado, spread thick on a buttered and toasted bagel. Plenty enough to spread along both sides and have a bit left over. The flow of customers was steady and they worked through all of the orders quickly and efficiently... really could not ask for a better quick coffee breakfast experience.

I've been frequenting this architectural marvel for over 10 years. While so many new shops try to mimic this vibe, none of them are Lux. Lux is King! The 11-Year Flashback: I looked back at my review from 11 years ago when I docked them a star for the "nightmare parking." Back then, I was a "to-go" only person who never envisioned myself as a laptop-hipster hanging out. Well, times change! I'm bumping them up to 5 stars now. Maybe it's the new competition nearby or my better timing, but the parking is a breeze, and I've officially embraced the "comfy chair" lifestyle. The "Cheers" Factor: What really sets this place apart is the people. After a decade of visits, it truly feels like Cheers--where everybody knows my name! Getting to know the folks behind the counter makes every visit feel like coming home. The Sip of the Night: I shifted from my usual plain Cappuccino as my target drink to include in a review to feature their Espresso Martini. I went with a Reposado base instead of the typical vodka, and it was stellar. With two full bars in addition to the coffee and pastry bar, craft drinks truly abound here! (Note: they have an amazing cappuccino too) The Comfort Classics: You cannot leave without the food. My go-to favorites? The Tomato Soup with Grilled Cheese and the legendary Chocolate Chip or Red Velvet cookies. Return Factor: 100% I've been coming here for a decade, and it's still the gold standard. As I said in my review 11 years ago: "I see a book, comfy chair and cocktail in my future! Stumble home... Repeat." [Parking]: Mostly metered parking and I ended up parking few blocks away from the shop (plenty of metered parking spots near the intersection of E McKinley St & N 5th St). [Atmosphere]: Inside of this historic house, the wall features the work of local artists. The shop also has a cute outdoor patio area with tables. [Menu]: Apparently Matcha Latte is one of the more popular drinks here. The shop offers 12 black tea options, 9 green tea options, 8 herbal tea options, 4 white tea options, and 3 oolong tea options. *** Matcha Latte (16 oz, iced - $6.25): I was surprised that my drink was sugar free by default and I probably say yes when the staff had asked about adding sweetener. The drink was not as creamy as I thought and it was honestly a fairly mediocre drink. The drink also came with a paper straw. *** A great spot for a casual 1st date due to great vibe, but matcha latte just didn't hit the spot.
