We visited Elly's Brunch & Café on Easter Sunday, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! Despite it being a busy holiday, the atmosphere was great and we only had a 20-minute wait, which was surprisingly short for Easter. Our server was top-notch--super attentive with the water refills and kept us entertained with some great banter throughout the meal. If you're a coffee lover, you're in luck because they serve very good coffee here. As for the food: * The Steak: I ordered the skirt steak. While the market price was quite expensive (my only real complaint), I have to admit the steak itself was delicious. * The Pancakes: Absolutely perfect and very fluffy! Elly's Brunch had some real highs and lows for us. The waffle portion of the chicken & waffles was honestly a 10/10 fluffy, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a brunch spot. Unfortunately, the chicken itself was a huge disappointment. I'd give it a 2/10. The legs were extremely thin and very dry, and two of them literally had almost no meat on one side at all, as shown in the photo. Personally, I would much rather have had two small juicy thighs instead of three dry little legs. On the positive side, the chicken fried steak was amazing, and they absolutely listened when we asked for extra crispy hash browns they came out perfect. The coffee and smoothies were also really good. Pricing overall felt fair for most menu items, but the smoothies and kids meals were surprisingly steep for what you get. Overall, mixed experience: some dishes were excellent, but the chicken & waffles chicken definitely needs improvement. I will say the server was very sweet and so was the host especially with asking the service dog line of questions. The manger asking a third time a little was a bit much and with the tone/stopping us half way to our seats but it's whatever I guess at least they are on top of it because we hate fake service dogs that typically cause issues with ours but maybe some better communication instead of immediate questioning to a very obviously marked and well behaved service animal would have made us feel a bit more comfortable. 12/31/25: what a great place to eat. The first time we tried to visit Elly's the parking lot was packed; there was no place for us to park. The second attempt was more successful, probably because it was the holiday season & people were out of town. Anyhoo, everything else about Elly's was wonderful. The inside was bright & cheerful; mirrors along one entire wall, could be a bit creepy (ha ha); industrial, high ceilings throughout; the seating was comfortable (not hard wood or steel); and the surrounding area outside Elly's was decorated still for Christmas -- and all of the bench seating was floral. Nice vibes surround Elly's. Our server, Savigne (apologies if I misspelled it), was attentive, friendly, and simply came across as generally happy. Drinks: Irish coffee & tropical chia. Wouldn't get the chia drink again. Food: steak & wild mushroom skillet w/ scrambled eggs, toast, and date nut bread; morning sunrise skillet also scrambled + a biscuit. I asked for no onions on the skillet and that's how it came to me -- and it was spiced perfectly that onions weren't needed anyway. It was also a large portion so I had leftovers. Final answer? I would highly recommend Elly's. Just be aware that parking could be a challenge, so time your visit well. read more

The food here wasn't bad. I ordered the skirt steak an eggs and it came out medium just like I asked. My biggest complaint is the wait time. We were told 15-20 minutes, but waited over 30. Not the biggest deal. The food my friends got was decent. The environment here is pretty loud for those who prefer a more quiet dining area. The service was friendly. I would come back only if it was on a slower day and I was in the area. I want to give a 3.5/5 but the app won't let me so I think a 3/5 is a fair rating. read more

I've been goin to Elly's since I moved to Phoenix in 2020! Their portions are always great and their staff has always been very welcoming. I've gone through a bit of their menu the past few years and everything I've had has been really yummy! I will say, their food comes a bit oily, but nothing a little napkin blot can't fix! Order your hash browns crispy! Skip the coffee, but go with the orange or grapefruit juice! I always love Elly's! I have been coming here many times. My favorite dish from them is the Provence Egg Benedict. The eggs are served on a croissant! This time I got Chicken and waffle. The chicken was nicely cooked with the crispy skin on the outside so you would get a good crunch in each bite. The waffle was nice and fluffy. I added the hot sauce on the chicken and the butter and syrup on the waffle. Next is the corned beef hash. It was crispy and delicious and flavorful. Service was great! Elly's is the place to do brunch! Joined for brunch around noon on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was very busy but we were lucky enough to grab a table outside. It was a chilly day but they have plenty of heaters to keep you warm! The service was lovely. Our server was kind and attentive. The food is also amazing. I ordered the skirt steak and eggs. My boyfriend order an omelette. Both so good, my skirt steak melted in my mouth and the eggs and hash-browns were the perfect accompaniments. Most dishes also come with your choice of toast or pancakes. I definitely got the pancakes! They were delicious. Perfectly golden, sweet and a bit salty. After five years of going out for breakfast twice a month I have settled in to one of the best. I had crepes this last week. With apples warmed. Being that it is warmer I am getting iced tea. It is pure black with no after taste of fruit to ruin the taste of your food. We had our favorite wait staff and I will let you find your own. We sit outside as we take our own miniature fans for the table that keeps flies away. They open early which is nice as go early in this hot weather when it's below 90 in the am. I still like the buttermilk pancakes the best and the waffle comes close behind. The service is fabulous. My boyfriend took me there for my 21st birthday after it was recommended by his coworkers, and everything exceeded my expectations. The portions were great, the skillet was perfectly blended instead of just thrown together, and the French toast had the ideal texture -- not too soggy or too dry. The mimosa was the perfect way to kick off turning 21, and the open garage doors by the bar created such a fun atmosphere (highly recommend sitting there!). Came to this restaurant because of a friend recommendation and let me tell you, their food was amazing from the skirt steak and eggs being so tender and juicy and the pancakes were so nice, the best I've had from all the breakfast spots I have been to. Soft and fluffy with a good buttery flavor. Although the food was still good and consistent with my previous visits, the service this last time sucked B@LL$. I went on a Sunday around lunch time. My server was a full bearded older gentlemen. Some sort of middle eastern accent. He came around for drink orders while we were still looking over the menu. My date ordered a mimosa and I got iced tea. When my iced tea was brought out first I figured the mimosa would follow shortly thereafter. I understand Sunday is a busy day for dining establishments, so there is a little bit of leeway. However, when waiter came back out to take our food order, I asked about date's mimosa and waiter got defensive. His tone was off. "It's coming. We're really busy." Both hands up in "stop" formation. My date was in the middle of his food order when waiter had a squirrel moment. He started paying attention to the conversation behind him at a different table he was servicing. He never said, "hold on" or anything of the sort. Just simply turned his head away from our table and clearly listened to the other table for a few minutes. My date had to repeat entire order. I also never got refills for my iced tea. I was refilling my glass from the water pitcher that was left for us when we first got there. Waiter never checked in, "Can I get you anything else?" or whatever along those lines. We could've used extra napkins at one point but again we made do with the original ones given when we sat. I'm not sure if waiter knew he sucked because when I got my change, he only handed me $10 and $20 bills. The original plan was to tip $5. Baked Apple Pancake that serve up to 6 people depending on size ordered... say less! Uptown has been growing on me lately and this week while shopping nearby we stopped in to give Elly's a try. I knew I'd love it instantly with the cute vibe, happy waitress and the things I saw on their menu. I think I won the breakfast lottery. Of course they have your typical waffles, eggs and bacon, but when you see the baked pancakes, chilaquiles verde, and six types of egg Benedict you have to branch out; at least I do! Service was amazing. Water was brought to us and other drink orders taken while we looked over the menu. We all opted for water except for one green goodness juice. Quickly our table knew we were ordering a small baked apple pancake to share, biscuits and gravy, a breakfast sandwich and country fried steak. Most of our food came out quickly, but the pancake does take up to 40 minutes to come out depending on size etc. it does clearly state on the menu and we were told by the waitress as well. Time went by pretty quick while we chatted and enjoyed our other items. The gravy on the biscuits and country fried steak was so full of flavor and so good! Biscuits felt light and soft. The sandwich had so much egg and bacon. Delicious! When the pancake arrived we all about drooled! It smelled and looked amazing! It looked more like a pie with its fluffiness. Syrup and butter were brought out, but we didn't even use it. The flavor was perfect and spoke for itself without all the junk added. That first bite was heaven. Make sure to let it cool a little because it was hot. Even with the two of us sharing the small we had to take so much of it home. We were so full. Prices were fair, location was clean and parking pretty easy to find. This is a must stop if in the area! read more

I've been here 3-4 times and the food is always amazing!!! I always get an Omlette, but I've branched out and gotten the Berry Marscapone crepes recently (they were fantastic), the chai is amazing and so is the juice. You really can't go wrong! Sometimes the service varies, usually the servers are very friendly and attentive. There have been a few times where the server seemed a bit grumpy, but not often! It's always bustling in there! We decided to go here for Mother's Day this year. The wait was not bad (30 minutes) but once we were seated and ordered, the wait for our food just kept getting pushed back further and further. We watched several people leave with to go orders on a busy day where that service should come after those who are in person. After waiting an hour to get our food, we asked for the manager. Waited another 20 minutes and the manager never came out. As someone who works in hospitality, the wait time for our food left a sour taste in my mouth, but the manager not taking responsibility and/or accountability and coming out to meet the customers is a whole different story. I will be hesitant on giving a restaurant with management like this my business again. Please ensure you have better/stronger management in place moving forward. read more

Good place to grab an easy and yummy brunch/breakfast. They don't try to outdo themselves, but they manage to keep it simple and do it well simultaneously. I come here semi-often and will continue to! Couple things you should note, however: 1.) If you're an omelette person, theirs are pretty good! Just be advised that they tend to cook them on the more runny side, and more than once I've been convinced mine has been (or actively IS) undercooked. A friend I brought here once was actually sick as a result of hers being this way. If this might be concerning, be sure to ask your server to ensure they cook it a little more well-done. I've done this many times and it almost always comes out the way I prefer. 2.) They have one of those big garage door things for when it's nicer weather, but be advised that flies are RAMPANT, particularly as we're gearing up for/coming down from summer months. I've had plenty of experiences where I spent the entire visit swatting multiple flies away. Aside from these two things, it's a great place. Their drinks are inexpensive and food is tasty. I asked for the onions to be grilled extra and they were still more raw. I strongly recommend selecting the pancakes as they were great! This was my first time at Allie's. I went for breakfast and it didn't disappoint. My friend and I put this Sticky Roll French toast. It was so late and flavorful. It came with four pieces and plenty of toppings. We each ordered an omelette and shared them. I had the Shroomed omelette and she ordered the Morning Sunrise. . They both were delicious I asked for crispy hashbrowns, and they came out a little bit more white and brown, but otherwise, it was a great meal. Overall, the place has a fun vibe with mirrors overlooking the restaurant so if you are facing the wall, you can still see what's going on. Our waitress was attentive and the food came out quickly.
