I'm always up for trying a new bubble tea spot! I love how there are so many options for customization in terms of sweetness and milks. I also like how boba is included in the price (Other toppings such as jelly are extra). There are a plethora of flavors too with cute names. I opted for the peppermint chocolate milk tea (Mr. Mint milk tea), 24 oz with boba. It was made in a short amount of time and had a double lid, with a heat sealed lid and snap on lid over that. Overall it was an enjoyable drink but I would have liked more minty flavor. It was hard to distinguish the mint and chocolate and tasted more like a generic sweetness. The boba was plentiful and decently chewy. Service was friendly and there was a sign at the counter saying if you sign up to be on their list they give you 10% your drink. Nice! The total for my drink with tax was a little over $5 which is not bad at all. Gotta love a good deal! If I'm in the area again I'd definitely come back for more drinks. They also offer snacks, dumplings and noodles which is a tempting option. read more

Better fries and nuggets than you can get at any fast food restaurant within 20 miles, no joke. Patronizing places nearby for awhile, I put off trying this place with no good reason. I am genuinely mad at myself for not checking this place out sooner. It is a popular after school hang out for the high school students from central, brophy, & Xavier across the street but the best kept secret for solid state fair quality fried foods like corn dogs. Came here the other day because my friend and I were in the mood for shaved ice. A yelp and google search both brought this place up and they're nearby. Also confirmed by scrolling through pics of their menu on yelp. Unfortunately, I didn't observe the dates of those menu pics were posted (years ago). So we were pretty disappointed to stop in only to be let down that shaved ice is no longer offered here. Shame too, N. Central phx area used to have a few places, such as Snoh. Now the nearest place I believe is in Mesa or Chandler. Not wanting to leave empty handed, we ordered their dragonfruit tea which was decently refreshing. Vibe was a lil odd when we were there. There were a few artists or vendors there with pitched up tables selling knickknacks. I didn't mind that one bit, but did not like the fact that they completely blocked the entrance??? I got the Taro milk tea boba and was extremely happy with it. They make a lot of different types of drinks including smoothies and they have lots of flavors to choose from. Lately my go to has been taro anything and everything. The brown sugar smell was a tough second contender because you can smell it when you walk in. TL:DR - Super solid brown sugar boba drink. Interior isn't super updated but is clean. Menu is a huge hodge podge or random flavors no one would ever get for bubble tea as well as hand written notes taped over the original menu. Store is also selling the most random snacks in front, one clearly just repackaged costco snacks. All in all, this place is far from impressive, but will scratch that boba itch in case of emergency. -------------------------------------------------------- A super solid spot that makes a good, but not great bubble tea. For being west of 51 and north of 202, this place is pretty good if you're really wanting some bubble tea. Luckily for me it's also the closest. I've been to a few others near by (looking at you Milk Run) and it's my go to for a quick fix. I've only every gotten the brown sugar bubble tea, and it's very solid. Good caramel hits from the brown sugar, the boba is always consistently good. Their portion sizes are also HUGE. The regular size here is a large anywhere else, and the large size is creeping into 7-11 big gulp mug territory. The interior really matches the bubble tea in that it's fine. It's not the most updated or the most comfortable, but it's not super gross or dirty either. I will say that this is one of the most Asian mom and pop establishments though. I don't really get half of the "tea flavors" they have like toffee nut, ginger beer, or blue cotton candy. It's like the owners just got every single flavor from a food service catalog to just see what sticks. Having that many odd and clearly artificial flavorings kind of cheapens the whole thing to be honest. In addition, the menus are just covered up with hand written changes where applicable to the point where it's just a hodge podge of printed and handwritten menu items. They also sell the most random assortment of snacks. On my most recent visit, I saw that they had bought some boba mochi from costco and individually bagged them in packs of 5 for resale. While there isn't anything inherently wrong with anything in this paragraph that detracts from their bubble tea, it is a bit tacky. All in all, I'll come for one or two drinks that really hit the spot, but if I'm really wanting good bubble tea or taking someone from out of town to get bubble tea, this spot isn't it. read more

Always down to try a new boba place. I have my favorite spots, but I planned on grabbing lunch meat here so I popped in for a visit. It's a large space with lots of tables, parking only had a few designated spots but there might be more open ones down the way. Menu is pretty straightforward: choose black or green tea, flavors, and toppings. They have other drinks as well, but I got a milk tea with toasted marshmallow syrup, honey boba, and regular sweetness. Forgot to ask for less ice but did that as soon as I remembered. Sizes are 24 or 32 oz, I got the 24 since that's what I'm used to. Might have to try the 32 next time cuz that just sounds like a fun day. Prices are fair and they also have alternative milks which is cool. The gal was so friendly, good customer service is so important. I noticed they had a popcorn machine which I thought was neat, and when my drink was ready they gave me a small popcorn bag. Honestly made my day! What a nice gesture. Took my drink with me to lunch and it was tasty, definitely on the sweet side but that was on me, I should've gotten less which I usually do. During COVID-19: My Tea unfortunately was a miss for me. We were in the area and usually get something sweet like boba to quench our thirst. As of late, there is no dine in but take-out only. TV was playing which is great for waiting customers. The menu is massive in the amount of flavors and steps to achieve your perfect bubble tea concoction; I had to take a min to decide what I could get without my drink being a "milk tea" drink. I ended up going super basic with a green tea base and peach flavoring... It was artificially made with syrup that I ended up not finishing it. We also got an almond milk tea which tasted quite bland compared to other boba shops that make this common flavor. I was dissatisfied with both, especially the chewiness of the tapioca: hard and inedible. For $6+ a pop for a large, I find it is on the pricier end for regular flavors like almond milk tea. Not a bad place to stop in for a quick fix, but I wasn't impressed with the options or the prices. Nothing terrible, just an average boba tea shop overall. Had many flavors, but honestly the flavors were more like sno-cone flavors (apple, strawberry, raspberry, etc), instead of more interesting flavors. I pass by this place every day and I've been meaning to check it out for a while. I decided to go with the basics - a simple green tea with boba (I find that if flavor is added it usually becomes too sweet). The bubble tea was very good. The only thing I should mention though - you know the flavor of unfiltered Phoenix tap water, how it tastes almost salty? I actually started to notice that flavor as I was drinking my bubble tea. It's hard to find a good boba spot in Central Phoenix so glad this place was centrally located. They have a good amount of flavors available and pride themselves on making their syrups so that's always a good sign. While I did not get a tea based boba, I got the honeydew boba slush and adjusting the sweetness level to slightly sweet and was pretty satisfied. My husband got the regular milk tea and forgot to adjust his sweet level and found that it was a little bit too sweet. Otherwise he enjoyed it. This place is a little overrated. Prices are high with large 32 oz drinks sitting at $7 each. Granted there are few competitors around. It's nice that they have so much variety though (20+ flavors). Their honey boba tastes good, but their taro hemp milk tea was grainy and the powder was thick and not well dissolved. Blue cotton candy surprisingly tasted quite good (weird, right?!) Can't say this place is great. I went during the afternoon so the open door was nice. And there was plenty of seating. I ordered the matcha milk (non dairy creamer) tea w boba and it was just alright. Boba wasn't that sweet or chewy but this was my first time getting milk tea/boba in Arizona. Maybe I'm just too spoiled in California for having too many places to get milk tea but I can't justify $6 for a mediocre milk tea. The pricing of the drink really put me off. The small bag of salty popcorn doesn't really add any value to the drink either. The menu is super misleading and I can't imagine charging an extra $.50c for powdered coffeemate creamer? Why put non dairy creamer and whole milk on the same line, to just charge an extra $.50c for the creamer but not the whole milk? On top of a $5 drink. If I caught that sooner on the register, I woulda asked for the almond milk alternative instead or something. Maybe management can fix their menu lines or train their employees to mention it to customers. That was a really weird experience for me. And the reply I got about my creamer question was "it just adds it on the computer system." So yeah, it's management thing. This is not a good boba spot y'all. I came here last week and thought this would be a new go-to spot, since it had so many good reviews. I liked how I was able to adjust the sugar and ice level, and the cashier was really nice. I ordered a green milk tea with lavender flavor and boba, no sugar and no ice. I tasted my drink, and found that the lavender flavor was extremely overpowering. They must have added multiple pumps of lavender syrup or the syrup itself was extremely sugary and strong, because I couldn't taste the milk tea anymore. I returned to the store and requested to have another drink made. At first, I opted to have another green milk tea, minus the lavender this time, but I was informed that the "green milk tea" was actually matcha milk tea (??). I found that quite strange because I assumed that they brewed green tea leaves and combined it with creamer/milk, but it seems like they use a powdered tea formula. I wasn't super interested in matcha, so I paid 4 dollars for a black milk tea with boba. After I got my drink, I realized that the creamer they used was a nut-based creamer, or there was something in the drink that I had an allergic reaction to, so I couldn't even enjoy my drink.
