This is not a good boba spot y'all. I came here last week and thought this would be a new go-to spot, since it had so many good reviews. I liked how I was able to adjust the sugar and ice level, and the cashier was really nice. I ordered a green milk tea with lavender flavor and boba, no sugar and no ice. I tasted my drink, and found that the lavender flavor was extremely overpowering. They must have added multiple pumps of lavender syrup or the syrup itself was extremely sugary and strong, because I couldn't taste the milk tea anymore. I returned to the store and requested to have another drink made. At first, I opted to have another green milk tea, minus the lavender this time, but I was informed that the "green milk tea" was actually matcha milk tea (??). I found that quite strange because I assumed that they brewed green tea leaves and combined it with creamer/milk, but it seems like they use a powdered tea formula. I wasn't super interested in matcha, so I paid 4 dollars for a black milk tea with boba. After I got my drink, I realized that the creamer they used was a nut-based creamer, or there was something in the drink that I had an allergic reaction to, so I couldn't even enjoy my drink. Seriously can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet! It's the closest boba tea place to where I live. The location is really cool, the whole front of the building opens up. Makes me feel like I'm at the beach. There's plenty of seating inside with music playing and a few televisions on. The menu is typical of other boba places. I love that they have almond milk!! Super cool vibe, garage door opening front makes you want to chill at My Tea for hours and they have free WiFi. Also, if you need a warm snack they have a selection of appetizers to choose from. The high tops, regular tables and hangout loungy seating areas are the same. The quality of the boba is very good. Customer service is what has GREATLY IMPROVED. You can tell the girls and guys behind the counter care are passionate about their jobs, enjoy working together, enjoy the products they are selling and serving and want each customer to feel comfortable while they are there. I can say whatever growing pains were being experienced at first have notably improved. From what I learned at times live entertainment is offered and if you go at the right time you may even get a free little baggie of popcorn served up with your drink of choice. After a couple tries I was able to get in and get some tea. A bit jaded from my first few attempts to spend a few bucks here, I had to keep trying mostly because they're so close by. I've never tried their shaved ice, just their teas. They're slightly less expensive for their boba tea than other spots, but they charge you for things like coconut milk and "blending" your tea into a slushy. All in all, they've worked through some of those issues with things like, staying open, and attending to their customers in line that I had my first two or three visits to the shop. I've been 5 or 10 times since. Today, the staff is friendly, the drinks are quick and they are faster service than the nearby shops, mostly because there usually isn't a huge line. Their drinks are okay, the location is great because it is right off Central, and parking absolutely sucks. What's even worse is that you can't really study here because a lot of the high school kids come here after school and just sit at this place and screw around, so it's hard to get work done. This place has serious issues with handling customer complaints. Dani was my cashier. I ordered wings and was told it would take 20 minutes. I also ordered fries, which were scheduled to take 7 minutes. After ten minutes, I received the fries. I never received the wings. After 35 minutes, I was told by the cashier (Dani) that she did not think I wanted to wait for the wings and, therefore, she did not charge me for them. I asked her why on earth would she ask me about an 8 piece verses a 4 piece if I did not want the wings. I asked her why would I choose the ranch and barbeque dips if I did not order the wings? She responded by telling me that I should just be happy that I did not pay for them. I told her that I was not happy about my lost time and that customer service demanded more than her telling me what I should be happy about. I asked to speak to the manager and was told that he was just too busy to speak to me. I asked for a telephone number to reach the manager by phone and was told by Dani that she could not give me his number. I told her that I was seeking the telephone number for the business -- not a personal number. She responded by telling me to Google it. This was by far the worst customer service that I have ever received! It is bad enough that the fries were greasy. At the very least, the manager should have been willing to deal with the issue. Never again! I will spend my money elsewhere (Milk Run). read more

I really enjoy coming here especially since I live close by so it is really convenient. The one problem with this place is how understaffed they are. I've been here at least 2-3 times where I've waited way too long for my drink (15+ minutes.) When I come in there are usually only 2-3 people working. Person 2 got the honeydew milk tea with whole milk and regular sweetness. It was sweet but not super sweet. It was alright. Both milk teas were not cold. They were more like room temperature. The live music was not good at all & the cashier was texting on her phone while we were ordering. Owner did not even bother to welcome his customers or say hello. I wouldn't say this is the best boba place I ever tried. I personally won't be back. I'd rather go to Milk Run. This place was a waste of our money. On my first visit I was surprised by how bad my taro smoothie was. Service was also pretty poor on that visit. HOWEVER, I have now been back six or seven times since and on each of those visits I have received much better service... and some REALLY good milk teas!
