Coconut mango boba
Danielle R.

I came here with a friend. She had one of the bubble waffle treats and I got a coconut mango boba . The interior of the shop was cute and the decor was modern and photo worthy. The amount of flavor varieties was a pleasant surprise. I loved that you can mix up to 3 flavors (I believe). I haven't seen a boba shop that offers this for no extra cost. Kudos! I loved my boba overall except that some of the pearls were over cooked. I overlooked this because the taste of the tea itself was so yummy. I didn't eat any of my friends bubble waffle but she said it was good. It looked good too.

Strawberry macaroon ( I recommend trying their macaroons as well)

A hidden gem, the inside is so much cuter than the outside area. I got the Thai tea with regular boba, for lactose intolerant family they do have non dairy milk (it's oat milk only). The cashier is effective and attentive so it's a place you can pop in and pop out, or stay in and enjoy peace and quiet (there's not a lot of people there when I went.

We got pina colada slush with strawberry boba and a milk tea with honey boba. Very delicious

Decided to stop by YobaHut after eating Dimsum next door. They had a couple great options to choose from. The mango yo tea was yummy, it wasn't overly sweet. The bubble waffle was good, not a fan of sprinkles but the fruity pebbles was a good topping! The place was decent, wasn't the cleanest shop I've visited. There was two gals working- one was super sweet and the other had a 'tood'. It would've been nice to not feel so rushed especially with my sibling and I being the ONLY customer at the time. I understand bad days & not wanting to be at work but tossing things on the counter like you don't care and giving the impression of having people in your business seem like an inconvenience does not make the place welcoming by any means. It almost makes sense why the place always appears dead.

Cookies and cream waffle

Can't say anything about the drinks, but the waffles were great. Friend and I got one each and the waffles stayed crunchy even with the melting ice cream on top. Wish they didn't rush us out though. It was still 30 minutes before closing.

After getting my fill of dim sum at Great Wall, I stopped by YobaHut with a friend for a sweet treat. The inside of the store is bigger than I anticipated (with multiple areas to sit) and there weren't too many people inside (only 3 other clients). And the prices for milk and fruit teas seemed pretty average ($4.99 - $5.99 not including toppings). I opted for a strawberry, passionfruit, and lychee fruit tea but to be honest, it was bitter (I was expecting it to be sweet), but my friends strawberry lychee slushy was sweet! I can't say the service was great either, but it also wasn't terrible. There were two young workers, and they seemed like they didn't really want to be there (and took quite a while preparing our drinks despite the fact that there weren't that many people in the store). Given that my friend (who recommended the shop) has been to this establishment multiple times, I feel like my experience may have been a one off (or so I hope!) NOTE: When you check in on Yelp you're able to get 15% off (but it only applies to milk teas).

Made my 2nd visit here on a Saturday around 430pm. At my time of arrival there were no other customers. The staff greeted my children and I promptly and kindly. She was very patient with us as we read through the menu and asked a few questions. The ambiance is quiet and calm. I can't recall if they even had music going. But either way it didn't bother me. The decor is cute and typical of a boba spot. There are a few areas that are instagram worthy as well. I was pleasantly surprised with our drinks. The Thai tea was sweetened just right to my daughter and I's liking. She also noted she liked the honey boba as it wasn't too soft or too chewy. Would def order this again. The passion fruit Green tea again was sweetened just right. The tea was not bitter as is common at a lot of spots. The rainbow jelly texture was perfect and there was a good healthy amount in the drink as well. The banana wasn't bad but def run of the mill. It was $3, which is immensely better then what you'd pay for the same thing at let's say, the state fair. So no real complaints. Look forward to trying this place again. The biggest thing for me was that the drinks were flavorful and not overly sweet, which has become common place in many boba spots.

This is a fun n place with good options to choose from. Only thing I could suggest would be a oat milk option for non dairy drinkers, almond milk is good in most things but not everything and oatmilk has a smoother creamy texture. They have tapioca waffle cones with ice cream and toppings, covered bananas etc And the girls working here are super patient and friendly

Second time back. The tiramisu cake is super tasty and I'm sooo picky about tiramisu. I only bought one slice to share but my inner fatty totally would have eaten more. The popcorn chicken was super crispy. It stayed crispy even after an hour drive and sitting in my car for like 10 minutes (so I guess even after 1hr & 10 min it was still crispy). Yuuum. Don't miss it. The thai tea-so glad I ordered a large. I think it was a large. I literally said, I'll take the biggest one you have. It wasn't too sweet and wasn't a super strong "bitter tea" flavor like I've had before at other places. Overall-super pleased. The workers were just as nice as last time. Go there if you want yummy food, tasty bevs, delicious desserts and cute snaps. Do it for yourself, not just IG.

Items that were missing when I walked in

I ended up at YobaHut after realizing that my usual boba place in Central Phoenix was closed and had an okay experience. It was pretty dead on a Tuesday, but the staff were present and attentive. Unfortunately, a lot of their menu items weren't available: the popcorn chicken, the calamari, as well as a good handful of their drinks were all crossed off on the menu. I ended up getting their sweet potato fries which were average and a strawberry fruit tea with boba. It was disconcertingly red (no fruit, just straight up bright red liquid) and tasted good but in the way that artificial candy tastes good. If you're craving boba after eating at Great Wall next door, this may do the trick but other than that, I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

Lychee Fresa Slush with Lychee popping boba

Hit up Yobahut for a sweet treat, aka the perfect post lunch or dinner companion. Always check in while ordering for a 15% discount!! I got the lychee fresa slush both times that I've been there because of how much I enjoy it- very refreshing and not too sweet. I recommend pairing it with the lychee popping boba. Aesthetic interior with cuteness, greenery, and a wall for your obligatory Yelp moment.

After having a full dim sum spread next door I of course still had room for dessert. This place definitely meets the mark for your boba shop but also seems to offer a variety of packaged asian snacks, frozen yogurt, bubble waffles, cheese cakes, and macarons. There are plenty of seats to come in with your friends to play games or pop some headphones in to study. We had a small accident with the cup cracking but was quickly resolved. The pom pom peach was quite refreshing and we had it with what tasted like mochi and actual pomegranate.

It's such a cute hole in the wall place! We frequently visit the Asian market in the area and we decided to stop by one night to check it out. And we were surprised by this place! The employee working was really sweet and took her time to explain to us certain items. I should also note that our first visit we were the only ones there. We got their bubble waffle ice cream and it was AMAZING! Their popcorn chicken is also really good! Basically everything we order was really good! Now we came back again on a weekend. It took an hour to get our order. There was only one employee working, which is crazy for the amount or people coming in! Anyways she was more worried about making people's drinks instead of our bubble waffle ice creams and banana pops. This visit alone made us second guess this place. We will definitely come back again and NOT on a weekend to avoid that crazy mess.

We arrived without a reservation and were told the wait would be about 25 minutes, which was totally reasonable. We waited the full time and checked in once, only to find the wait continuing to extend while several outdoor tables sat open. When we politely asked about our table, the host (a woman with glasses) responded with a noticeably rude and dismissive attitude. At one point, she muttered under her breath something along the lines of, "If you guys are so anxious... you can head over there," which multiple people in our group heard. It felt completely unnecessary and unprofessional. We were eventually seated at a table that was partially in direct sun, and when we asked about moving to one of the shaded tables, we were told they were unavailable and "reserved". However, those tables remained empty for over 30 minutes, which was frustrating given the situation. To be fair, there was another older woman on staff who was warm, attentive, and fantastic, and the food itself continues to be a highlight. The menu is creative, thoughtful, and one of the reasons we've come back multiple times. That said, this isn't the first time we've experienced service issues here, and it often feels like the restaurant is understaffed, which may be contributing to the inconsistency. I really want to love this place and continue recommending it, but experiences like this make it hard. Great food can only carry things so far when the hospitality side feels off. It's one thing to occasionally be understaffed (I understand people call off in this business) but there's a consistency here which points towards management issues and then on top of it, when your hostess is unnecessarily rude, that's a real bummer. We live in the Willo nearby and I don't think we're going to keep coming here if this restaurant allows the constant service issues and the rude staff like this.

Absolutely unforgettable. Pesto Sundae Dessert: 5/5 So creative and innovative. Fun play on pesto. I've never had ice cream made with pine nuts before and loved it. The basil granita was incredibly refreshing. Service: 10/5 I wish I had gotten their names, but our server (a boxer) and the hostess with long brown hair were fantastic. The interior is pretty long with a large number of seating inside the building so we had no trouble getting seated right away by the hostess. We decided on food relatively quickly due to previous experience with the business, however, our waiter never came around to take our orders or even give us water at the table. We saw one girl with dyed hair who unassumingly could have been our waiter since she was in our section but only worked with one particular table and ran to the back after each time, but never addressed our table or came by. We eventually had to flag a different waiter down who was able to help us place the order and service us for the rest of our visit, she also informed us that this other "Waiter" was supposed to help us but she wasn't sure why she never made an attempt to do so after having us wait 20 mins and other tables were being serviced. We ordered Flordian French Toast and Elote Breakfast Burrito (plus a couple sides and drink) which were both really good, and filling. Prices weren't too bad for what we ordered and was able to take our mind off of the rather long wait to get helped. Not sure if we'll come back to this particular location again, but it was nice trying the restaurant out another time.
