I felt like I walked into Sakura season in Japan all over again. This is a cute fun date space. Lots of fun drinks and gorgeous decor. They have a fast menu of Asian inspired drinks, coffees and boba teas. They also have fun food menu. I would say mostly nibble items. Not like a full meal restaurant. Service was quick and efficient. It's a bit on the pricey side but fun novelty nonetheless. The gotcha machines are always a treat for plushy wins. They also have snacks and merchandise to purchase. A bit of everything for a fun date.

3-18-25 Visit Very Disappointed. Someone please take over this business! Cons: Beverage watered down, $26+ for two drinks, pork bao 2pcs and taro bao 2pcs. They are currently hiring too. What I love about this business is the aesthetics and cutesy themes with merchandise and snacks. The presentation is good for kids. The issue I have is the quality of the watered down teas. The signature cups can be saved for artsy colored pencil holders. I don't know if ASU has raised rents for this business but something needs to be done to save this business. Food is okay. Not much customers but people just come for the convenience. I personally feel this business can do better.

Great place for boba and super cute! I always get the Chocolate Panda Frappe (used to get the Chocolate Pocky drink until they discontinued it) and a waffle pop. Normally, I get the amazing sweet milk glazed, but wanted to try the chocolate today. The chocolate is good, but I personally feel the syrup is a little heavy and it could maybe benefit from whipped creak. I ate the whole thing, but I think I will stick with the sweet milk glazed from now on. The Chocolate Panda Frappe is so fun and delicious. It comes with 3 to 4 of the Hello Panda cookies on top which can be awkward to fish out of the drink. It's a refreshing chocolate forward drink and is available with or without boba. The customer service is always top notch. They're friendly, attentive, precise, and efficient. The decor leans towards Kawaii and important warning, their artificial Sakura trees have flashing lights. One tree is right by the entrance close to where you order and one is next to where you pick up your order, so they're pretty much impossible to avoid. If you have a medical reason to avoid flashing lights, you should probably not visit. They are on Door Dash, I believe, or maybe get someone to go for you. The pricing is pretty standard. My drink was $6.99 and my waffle pip was $4.99. Not a bargain, but not overpriced. Overall, it's a cute place, decent prices, and good drinks and food. I try to stop whenever I am nearby.

It's really cute place , a little bit small but very nice, very clean and beautiful to me . I love the fruit tea, it's so fresh and delicious. The service was really fast. I love it. The only negative point is the parking, we have to pay $4 for 1 hour to the place to park the car but it's downtown and we do understand.Anyway we still come back again because of the tea

Cute tea shop in Phoenix on campus of ASU, pricing is a bit high, this tea set me back $7 and some change, but it has decent flavors and the cups are reusable and super cute. There were two employees working and greet you when you walk in and wish you a good day when you leave.

The only boba place that have some snacks on, i did uber and i saw on their menu they have Steamed Siu Mei and Steamed Dumplings, and Steamed Bao, i tried the pork steamed Bao and it was really filled with pork and really heavy. they gave 2 servings and im really full. the boba was really chewy and i like that on bobas. Will try next time to come on their store.

Very cute environment with Asian snacks and souvenirs. I took my kids to get boba and ended up getting the bao bundle, which was $10 for a boba and two boa buns. The owner was very friendly and gave us some rainbow boba after I had paid, and let us try out a waffle pop. I got the taro milk tea which was very tasty! 맛있어요!

Super cute boba shop with really nice decor and a lot of funny and cute merchandise for sale. It is located downtown so be prepared to scrounge for meter parking as there is no dedicated parking lot. Overall the drinks were good, but not great in my opinion. They all were a little below the mark compared to other boba places. My coconut coffee latte was pretty weak on the coffee flavor for me and the coconut was more on the tart side than the sweet side. The Royal milk tea has good flavor but the tea flavor was very weak. The strawberry milk was probably the one I enjoyed the most but I've had better. We also ordered some steamed buns and siu mai which were not bad, but definitely tasted like a Trader Joe's microwave food quality. Tasty and a quick fix for cravings, but not high quality. If I could, I would bump this to a 3.5 for the decor and ambiance. But nothing there was quite good enough for me to choose Boba Cutea over other shops I've been to

I've been praying for a boba place to grace the chaos of DTPHX. I was super excited to see that Boba Cutea would be setting up shop here, after having tried their location in Tempe. Very similar vibes: bright and decorated with cutesy art and a cherry blossom tree right in the middle. There's a few small tables spread throughout the place so it could get full fairly quickly, especially with all the studying students around or people wanting to enhance their day with a fruity little drink (I'm the latter.) This time I tried a drink that never fails me, the Lychee Green Tea, and it was great. We all know that boba prices aren't what they used to be, but I would always be down to go if I'm in the area. The staff here is very kind and it doesn't take too long to get your order. They also sell food (but I haven't tried it). I'd be curious to know if they're planning to collaborate with local organizations for hosting events (ex. k-pop or anime ones) like other boba places in the city do. We'll see!

I love supporting local shops, especially boba stores, but nah, this isn't it. I've been to other Boba Cutea locations in the East Valley, in which the drinks have been alright but are lacking a bit of oomph (I've mostly tried the jasmine milk tea, and the tea flavor is usually a bit weak and the milk overpowers the drink). I decided to give Boba Cutea another shot since this is a new location in downtown Phoenix. This store is on North Central Ave right underneath the ASU School of Journalism, which is a convenient location for students. Parking can be difficult to find as you'll have you comb through metered street parking to find a spot. The interior of the store is cute and clean, and there's plenty of seating inside if you want to enjoy your drink inside. Service is also great. I ordered the fresh taro milk tea with boba, and it came out promptly. The taro taste was a little too light for my living, as I mostly tasted the milk and black tea, and the boba wasn't sweetened, which made the pearls kind of tasteless. The most egregious thing was that they didn't wash the blender between drinks, as I could taste avocado in my drink and I am allergic to avocado. I was a little annoyed that I paid $7 to have my mouth and throat swell up, and I had to throw my drink away. Despite me trying it again and again, Boba Cutea does not do it for me.

Super cute as most boba places are. They had quite the variety and I liked how the different types had their own category. The service was great as she helped explain the menu and made some suggestions. I tried the galaxy boba (w/ soda not tea) and the mango ice cream one. The ice cream boba was amazing!! So refreshing on this 110° day. It made the walk back to our hotel worth it.

Really cute tea shop! They have boba, dumplings, and dessert. There are Asian candies and goodies to buy as well.

Got the lychee smash green tea. Was ok, tasted watered down, might be cause I chose less sweet. Tapioca was decent.

The flavor was vibrant, crisp, and incredibly refreshing, with the perfect balance of natural sweetness and fragrant lychee. It wasn't overly sugary or artificial tasting, which I really appreciated. Every sip was smooth, light, and bursting with flavor--it was one of those drinks that's gone before you know it because it's just that good. The staff was friendly, my order came out quickly, and the overall experience was seamless. It's always refreshing to find a tea shop that delivers both quality and consistency. I'll definitely be back to work my way through more of their menu, but the lychee tea has already set the bar pretty high. If you're in the area and looking for a refreshing handcrafted drink, this spot is absolutely worth the visit.
