I was craving boba while I was visiting Tempe, so I dropped by Mochi Fresh. I ordered a regular Signature Milk Tea with two types of boba. I think it was strawberry, and mango, which was pretty good and chewy. The milk tea boba was refreshing although a little watered down. There were a few tables and lots of people inside. Lots of people were picking up boba orders. They also offer fruit teas, smoothies, and bubble tea and mochi ice cream as well as some appetizers like popcorn chicken. They also have two cute boba figurines by the door you can take pictures next to. Stay thirsty my friends!
Boba was the best I've ever had. Service was great, great recommendations. The atmosphere was fun. Definitely recommend!

I used to live close by and this place was always around the corner. They pride themselves for their fresh ingredients and healthier drinks, which is hard to find and definitely a growing trend in the boba world! While they specialize in unique housemade pearls, it can lose the nostalgia associated with tradition tapioca pearls...not a bad thing, just different as long as you know what to expect. There could be more tea variety but the flavors they do have are tasty and pair well with similar flavored pearls - something most tea shops can't do! As for service, I was a regular and picked up several stamp cards and oddly enough the owner was sometimes reluctant to redeem them. Understandable because I would come frequently, but on the other hand, that's the point! Rant aside - still overall recommend trying them for a fresh perspective on a classic tradition.

11/23/25: not gonna lie. We visited Mochi Fresh when it first opened. I cannot remember the specifics but something about that visit put us off -- we never went back. I think one of the drinks tasted like it had gone bad. Regardless, fast forward to this particular day. We had stopped at the Cornish Pasty for lunch & wanted boba. We decided to give Mochi another go. This visit was much better. The drinks were more flavorful, they had some mochi balls w/ peanut & red beans that I love. They have a couple kiosks to place an order. I think there's something about saving money, or getting a free drink if you use them -- but don't quote me on that because when we tried it, something went wrong & we got frustrated so just walked up to the counter to place our order. We have since visited them a couple more times & both were pleasant experiences. As with all the other boba places we have visited, I have just one wish: that all of them would allow us to bring in our own glass mason jars to use so we can limit the amount of plastic. Yeah yeah, I'm sure some of you will say "if you're so concerned about plastic, STOP enjoying boba drinks", to which I reply "that's just crazy talk". :-)

First time at Mochi fresh, I got the mango fruit tea and the real taro milk tea. They have actual pieces of taro in their real taro milk tea, that threw me for a loop since I'm not used to that. I liked the milk tea without the taro pieces, I didn't care much for the texture. Their mango fruit tea with the mango boba was really good.

The shop was a little busy with people sitting at the tables inside and some people waiting for their drinks. I got their brown sugar milk tea which comes with boba, 50% sugar and less ice. It's a beautiful drink and it was def on the sweeter side due to the brown sugar, so I would order less sweetness next time. Or try one of their other drinks like their signature or Thai tea. The bobaistas were very friendly and they have a rewards program that uses your phone number. If you bring your recipe next door to BirdTalk, you get 15% off your meal, such a deal! I came back after dinner to buy drinks for my family and they were prepared quickly. Love that they make their own boba, it's delicious and tastes chewy and fresh. Def would come back when I'm in the area!

Mochi Fresh is the absolute best! I've been going here since 2019 and their boba is better than any other boba I've tried in Arizona. It's made fresh in-house, perfectly soft and chewy, and comes in different flavors like strawberry and mango. My favorite drink is the strawberry bubble milk but substitute with mango boba!
While waiting for our connecting flight, we were searching for mochi and this popped up so we planned a trip. Unfortunately they didn't have fresh mochi today. We had boba and coconut cat jelly instead and they were delicious! Ordered on the kiosk and our goodies came pretty quickly. Casual, clean and spacious. read more
3.5: Sometimes boba places rely too much on syrups and flavorings and Mochi fresh veered that way. Nonetheless, they had friendly service and reasonable prices for fruit tea, milk tea and bubble milk- whatever that is! I ordered the Thai milk tea at 0% sugar and less ice and it was not overly sweet. You can order at the kiosk or at the counter. They have a sign that made you think that perhaps unsavory characters come in and try to be served. More of a takeout kind of place. I would return if in the area. read more

I came in Sunday evening with a friend and I got a taro milk tea at 50% sweetness. It wasn't the usual purple color, it was more of a while color, and it had brown sugar boba. It was pretty good and the cost wasn't bad at $6. There are a few tables to sit at and some cute decor in the shop. The music was a little loud for trying to have a conversation though. The drinks were ready within a few minutes. read more

BEST BOBA IN AZ! Hands down!!!! I even miss this boba when I'm out of the state! My favorite is definitely the Strawberry Milk Boba but the Oreo Milk Tea Boba is a close second! Their drinks are delicious and it is difficult to try different drinks when these two are so yummy!!! read more
I can't get enough of the strawberry boba here! It's perfectly nice, chewy, and fruity without the excessive sweetness of popping boba -- and it pairs so well with the matcha latte I'm *always* going back for. Mochi Fresh is truly one of a kind, in that they handmake their own boba pearls -- and I truly can't find another place that replicates the texture and flavor of these toppings alone. While I wouldn't say their drinks alone are out of this world, all the bubble milks on their menu come with boba already -- either brown sugar, strawberry, or mango depending on the drink -- which is fantastic! There's a good amount of seating if you want to hang out or even do some work (yes, there's WiFi). Parking is super easy in the lot too. read more

Definitely a top boba shop place in Phoenix. Being that I stayed in Tempe during my visit, this shop was the only one that looked appetizing and authentic. The main reason was that their menu had "normal" flavors you'd expect from a boba tea shop, with added descriptions so you know what you're looking at without needing to ask questions. I ordered their Signature Milk Tea, and love how it includes 3 different kinds of boba. The moment I saw this order on their menu online, I knew I had to try this place, since it reminded me of a similar boba shop I enjoy in Cali. The prices are very fair, they honor your ice and sugar levels, and the wait time was never too long. The drink itself had a good tea taste, but not as strong as I thought. Ordering it with less sugar (70-80%) was perfect for me, otherwise stick to original sweetness. The boba pearls though? You could tell they weren't store bought ones by the texture and shape. They were a little smaller than your average boba pearls, and didn't have as round of a shape (which is arguably a good sign). The strawberry and mango boba also had a good amount of their respective flavors. The boba pearls in general are very chewy and bouncy. They are sweet and flavorful, so I definitely recommend their boba pearls. The inside looks nice, with ample seating room and waiting areas. If I'm ever in the Phoenix area again, this place will be the first thing that I need to visit! read more

Cute little boba place with authentic flavors! Customer service was great and made sure to check if we had tried their real taro so we would know what we were getting. Loved the boba itself and they had a unique boba called mango boba which was NOT popping boba but a delicious sweet mango flavored traditional boba ball. It was super good. The taro is fresh and made from the real root so, it might not be for everyone but I liked it a lot. I bought four drinks and spent $26 which was pretty decent. read more

Best boba topping I've had, hands down. You can tell they make it in house and the owner knows what they're doing. I can't vouch for the drinks, but I know a lot of care has gone into preparing the boba properly (they always have a video of their process playing in the background). Classic milk tea - could definitely taste the tea which I liked, but not sweet at all. I liked that it included 3 types of boba. Boba was nice and chewy, smaller than standard boba size I feel but you can taste that actual fruit was used in this. Slightly tart flavor and good texture. Matcha w strawberry boba - Matcha tastes a little chalky, not the best quality but good combination with the strawberry boba. Good amount of parking in a private lot. They have a private bathroom in the back that you need to ask employees for the key to. Music can get a little loud but otherwise standard amount of seating. I'd be back to try fruit boba with fruit tea - seems more fitting read more

The best boba I have had in Arizona! Cute little shop near ASU. Handmade chewy boba and they have multiple flavors like mango, strawberry, etc. Don't get it confused with popping boba; this is the real deal! I tried their Signature Milk Tea, which came with three different flavors of boba. The strawberry boba was too tart for me personally, but the brown sugar and mango boba pearls were so good! The tea quality was not bad. Not too strong and not too milky. The drink definitely highlights the good quality boba. read more
I ordered the classic milk tea and it came with boba, grass jelly and pudding, all three of my favorite toppings. I was pleasantly surprised at how good this combination milk tea was. My friend ordered the signature fruit tea and hers came with two big chunks of watermelon and pineapple! Her cup came with a little fork on the side which was super cute. I came here a couple of years ago and remembered it being pretty good for boba. I came here today with my boyfriend and he ordered a taro blended boba and the receipt said something different. We caught the difference and he mentioned this before it was made. What he was given was not a taro blended boba. It was a boba with ice and it didn't look or taste correct. It was too late at that point to say something. I don't like the up charge for requesting no ice so I went with light ice even though I have a cold sensitivity. My drink was supposed to be a lavender tea with cheesefoam and boba. The foam tasted like coconut whipped cream vs cheesefoam unfortunately. The drink had pieces of tea in it which was disappointing as well. We also got the octopus food item and they were flavorful although lacking in octopus. I thought it would be filled with octopus more than it was. I remembered the experience better than it was today unfortunately. read more
