I have been to this Xing Fu Tang many times and each time the drink quality is consistent and delicious! This time I went here at night 1 hour before they close so sadly they ran out of the boba pearls, which is the Main reason why I'm obsessed with XFT. Tip: call the store before you visit if you are planning to go there 1-2 hours before they closed. They run out of drinks and pearls pretty often. My go to drink is Boba milk tea, but since they were out of boba, I got the White peach oolong tea. The peach tea is seasonal and they have it right now! Definitely try them before it's gone. The tea is so good! Great balance of a slight bitter and sweetness in the tea. It also has pieces of peach jelly which was a surprise! I usually get their Thai tea as well. I'd love to give this place a good review- but unfortunately every experience I've had here has been subpar. The interior was not very clean- the inside is white with beautiful furniture, but most of it was sticky or messy, and the floor had smudge marks. There were straw wrappers from previous customers also strewn about on a few tables. The employees, too, were curt, unprofessional (half were sitting at a table on their phones, and half were roughhousing behind the counter, one employee even slapped the other? NOT a good look.) and did not greet us when we came in. We tried to order about 3 different drinks, but they were out of half of the toppings on the menu. The female employee who took our order looked annoyed that we dared try to order drinks that were on the menu- it was unsettling and not a great customer service experience. Finally, we got our drinks, and they were pretty much all ice in a fancy cup. The tea portion that we did receive was fine, but almost 20 dollars for bad service, and mostly ice is unacceptable. The flavors were nothing to write home about- and the dragon tea refresher my boyfriend got was not particularly unique. I've heard and seen good things about Xing Fu Tang locations in other states, but if they want to survive in Mesa, AZ, they may want to start actually carrying the ingredients advertised on the menu, as well as training their employees on professionalism. Just a boba place. Nothing special and nothing stood out to me. Service can be improved and hopefully they restock the ingredients that they run out of like lychee jelly. The interior is clean. The bubble teas are okay. They aren't memorable but not bad either. Casual place you can drop in and grab some boba for dessert or just because. This place has good Bingsu which I prefer over the boba drinks. They did recently change the way it's served though, now in a disposable cup instead of a bowl. It seems to be a smaller serving and it dings the presentation a little, but price is still the same. The strawberry bingsu has always been our favorite--light, creamy, and not overly sweet. We tried the strawberry matcha one which didn't really hit--was a little too bitter and we were avoiding the matcha parts towards the end. 12/6/25: Not bad, not great, rather underwhelming. Xing Fu Tang has an agreement with next-door Mensho's (ramen). Bring in their receipt & get 15% off your bubble tea order. That said, had we not just eaten at Mensho's, we never would have known about Xing. It's a nice wide open space for sure, very clean. This was the first boba shop we've visited where we saw a huge wok full of boba. It was pretty dang cool. The guy/gal behind the counter spoke very softly so I had to lean in to hear what they were saying. Xing's does not have an extensive menu, and they were out of about half a dozen items/drinks. Unfortunately, not everything they were out of was labeled as such, nor was it covered up as being not available so one bubble tea we wanted was a no go. Not a promising first-time visit. Their bowls look pretty interested (only about six options) so IF (that's a big if) we stop in again, we may try a bowl. Then again, with all the other bubble tea stores available, stopping in again to Xing may not be worth it ... unless we eat at Mensho's again, putting us in the area. :-) read more

This shop is so cute and the service is very personal. The respect and consideration the staff give their customers is so encouraging. My husband gulped his damn drink like it was going out of style, but I managed to take a picture of the coffee jelly. Also, they have a restroom with a dry-erase board that customers can leave cute notes on. And boy, it didn't disappoint. Coming here gives me hope and I'll certainly return. read more

Not many places make their tapioca pearls in house so I appreciated that this place did! If you dine at Mensho and show your receipt to them, there's a small 10-15% discount. Saw the soft serve was new on the menu (with a sold out post it), but the staff noted the machine is out and they weren't bringing it back anytime soon which is a shame since they previously had earl grey and black sesame flavors. I usually order the passion fruit or the kumquat refresher teas. It's a little pricier as the drinks start at $7 without toppings at the regular size. I've also had the bingsu in the past and it's definitely shareable - I would only caution the bowl is made of a lighter plastic so it can easily slip. You have to try Xing Fu Tang's decadent and sweet bingsu desserts. The lightly folded waves of fluffy goodness really make me want to comeback just for this 1 dessert. Imagine a spoonful of layers, nowhere near like shaved ice, but rather shaved airy blankets of just the right amount of sweetness. Fresh strawberries to counteract the creaminess along the matcha atop to provide its earthy and slightly grainy texture. If a drink takes 15 minutes to make and there are still 30 minutes until closing, why can't it be made? Xing Fu Tang has some of the best boba out there! The boba is always fresh, warm, and perfectly chewy. I'm glad they now offer a large size, totally worth it for boba lovers. Their drinks are super creamy, and while they now have shaved ice too, I haven't tried it yet because I always go straight for the boba. One day, for sure! The service is usually quick, and the shop itself is bright, clean, and welcoming. I'm not a boba person but I really enjoyed the brown sugar boba and you see them make it fresh in front of you as they stir in the big skillet-wok pan. I can't say the same for this location. My experience in AZ was not the same as LA. First of all, the skillet-wok pan was on the counter covered up and no one was mixing and stirring. Second, the boba texture was hard and chewy. Not bouncy soft chewy but tough chewy. The sign does say fresh boba daily. It was probably pre made earlier. I was disappointed. The staff here is so nice and I like how clean and spacious the store is. Xing Fu Tang is a boba chain from Taiwan that is known for their flame-torched brown sugar boba drinks. They have an open-kitchen concept so that you can watch them make the brown sugar in the wok behind the glass. It can take a few minutes for your drink to be made because they are hand-crafted per order. As I mentioned earlier, the Brown Sugar Boba Milk is Xing Fu Tang's signature drink. They have many other drink options on their menu like dalgona coffee, fruit teas, matcha boba milk and freshly brewed tea. If you have a little extra money on you, you can order their famous boba milk that is topped with gold foil. Some of the drinks can be a little too sweet for me, so I usually have them decrease the sweetness. But overall I appreciate the high-quality and freshness of their drinks. I still ended up paying nearly $10 for a drink missing half of what it normally includes. Even after telling us they were out of ingredients, the staff didn't offer any substitutions or options -- they just made the drink as-is. The attitude felt dismissive and arrogant, like we were inconveniencing them just by being there. The drink itself was the biggest letdown. It was a tea drink with zero tea flavor -- bland, watery, and absolutely not worth the price. If you're going to charge premium prices, everything else should feel premium: clear communication, updated menu signage, and at least an attempt at basic customer service. Been here a few times and I've got to say this is a pretty solid spot for decent boba and fruit teas in the area. So far out of all the beverages I've tried, I would say my two favorites would have to be the nondairy brown sugar milk tea and the seasonal passion fruit refresher with lychee jelly. I love most things passion fruit so whenever I see there's anything passion fruit flavored on the menu, I've got to try it! It all started when my sister saw an Instagram vlog highlighting this location. We're foodies and we love all things Boba, so of course we had to come see what it was all about. The Service was really good, and the gentleman at the cash register helped explain the intricacies of the menu. We decided to split a Brown Sugar Bingsu and Jasmine Milk Tea. I'd never actually had Bingsu before, and was so happy I finally did. I don't know what that super creamy milky bottom is, but it turned it into and ice-cream-esque taste/texture in your mouth. And the boba bathed in the brown sugar just gives them a brown sugar flavor vs. making them sweet, which was a great thing. As for the Milk Tea we got, BEST ONE EVER. And trust me, I have had more Jasmine Milk Teas than I'd care to admit from so many different places. This one is so rich! I had such a great experience for being a first timer! I've been searching for "my favorite" boba bar and this one is high on the list. Like it might be my top I just have to try it again. They didn't seemed annoyed and were being very helpful when I asked questions. However I was the only customer in there. I would say it's a bit pricy, I paid over $8.50 for just one drink. But for the drink i got, I feel it's worth it. I got the strawberry milk boba and it was so delicious. It comes with strawberry boba! Not popping boba, but regular chewy and soft boba! In the description it says "strawberry boba" so I was thinking it was "popping boba" but it wasn't. I was going to substitute it for brown sugar boba but she explained to be that it was soft and chewy! Let me tell you, it was soooo good! It was the PERFECT texture. Not tough, it was warm, soft, bouncy, chewy. Not too chewy either where your jaw starts hurting. It did get stuck in my straw though which makes me think they need wider straws. I was honestly super disappointed because with having an event and expecting a great amount of customers you would think they would be ready for the rush and have boba made! I was very excited to try it, I love that they make the boba fresh in store so I would have loved to have had the chance to try it!
