This is a review that has been a long time waiting for me to write. While I have always been a fan of this chain and I have visited a location, if not several in my traveling, this location is one of the best that I frequent locally. Primarily due to it is centrally located to my home & work. What makes it stand out, is the staff. While everyone is friendly, I wanted to recognize 2 folks that make my visits special, Gabe & Chas. store located at 2010 West Guadalupe Rd. in has horrible service. I ordered two coffees. One was a latte and one was a Matcha nothing fancy and three people came after me and all got their drinks before me. The gal at the window needs to learn to speak up. Her voice was so low and the fan directly above the window drowned out her whispers. I definitely do not recommend this place and I won't be back. read more

We needed to visit a sick friend. It's ready helpful having a late coffee run available to us. Honestly it was a blessing to be able to stop by and then head out. I loved the painting on their wall. This particular Starbucks was located near the Northeast corner of Bass Pro Dr and Dobson Rd. I stopped here for some coffee before heading over to Sloan Park to catch an early bus ride to the start line of the Mesa Marathon. Thankfully, this was one of the few Starbucks that was open super-early at 3:30 am! I was very grateful to have my grande flat white in hand before getting on that bus at 4 am! I will have to say I am not a fan of the new look of this Starbucks. The barista section and counter seems a whole lot nicer but as for the the seating area it is not. It's not as big and open and inviting as before. It's like one big long connected sitting area that is not so comfy on the tush. I feel like if you were to go to this Starbucks to work on homework you don't really have privacy of really having your own table as before. Came in to do some homework. No line. I just wanted a water at first, so I walked up and the barista Carly walked away from the register to show another coworker a picture of something? Sat there and talked, then turned and said we'll be right with you. Another worker stepped in and got me my water, very kind. She came back a little later "okay what can I get you?!" I'm not a huge Starbucks person, but I do enjoy this location. It is spacious and the customer service is usually pretty good. I have hung out here many times to read a book or to do some work on my laptop. This Starbucks is located at Mesa Riverview near the 202 freeway. They have a nice shaded outside patio area that I enjoy during the cooler months. The mornings are busy here, but I mostly come before closing time when it is a little more quiet. Starbucks coffee will always be so-so to me, but I do appreciate a nice store to do work at that is near home. read more

Newly remodeled location SUCKS. They took away a ton of seating and eliminated any 4 top tables. Layout is terrible. Makes it more crowded everywhere inside. All small round ones. Further, instead of having tanks of drip coffee they now have a new machine that brews on demand. The problem is IT CHEATS YOU as it doesn't fill up the cup! I'm sure this is saving Sbux millions by shorting customers worldwide. Also, is it filtered? It doesn't taste as good as it did before. read more

This Starbucks often has a pretty long drive through line, but their staff are generally great. If they don't get your order right, they'll make it right. Lines move reasonably fast. Use the app to get rewards! Like most Starbucks, they're facing some shortages, but they deal with it well. They tend to run out of things a little less easily than locations closer to downtown Phoenix or the ASU campus. read more

The current crew here is AMAZING! Morning, mid, and late shift always welcome me with friendly greetings. Concerning my orders, 4.5/5 stars is given as they almost ALWAYS hit quality on the mark. I bought $7 coffee here and stay in for some time. After I asked for a cup of water. But was told about new policy starting next Monday. "Just so you know, starting next Monday you have to be paid customer in order to get a water" I point out that I actually "Paid customer". Didn't receive even sorry. I received water though..... thank you l guess. I could let it slide, but right at that moment inside was two person who get only water. And wasn't told about "new policy". Im 100% sure, non of them was told about this. Only me!!WTF? So much about equally treating your customer, Starbucks! Isn't your main virtue signaling is equality? Do I look something different? There's an ample amount of space if you get here early enough, but the tables are usually filled up after 3:30/4 PM. There's an ample amount of parking as well, and the bathrooms are really clean. They get a little Ansy and fumble the ball on drinks when it's near closing time ..but is it their fault I'm ordering before closing time or is it mine?
