Awesome local cafe in downtown Mesa. I like to stop in and chat with a friend. Coffee is good and reasonably priced, customer service always good too. Recommend for a laid back coffee gothic experience. Visually engaging

This place is one of the those hole in the wall places.. it was so much fun the entire make of it, very mysterious! They have live music playing and each room had some mystery around it! Candles everywhere.. and just positive vibes all around!! They have a fun menu as well!! Perfect place for a weekend try out!

A quaint hidden gem, especially if you love slightly offbeat places. Jarrod's is a coffee shop, an art gallery, and so much more. You'll find coffee, tea, baked goods, live music and art, against an eclectic background of gothy-vintagey knick knacks. They have lots of events - haunted goth nights, dirty mic events, poetry, and comedy. They also sell jewelry, crafts and paintings. There are different rooms you can explore, all filled with unique items and art. You can sit indoors or outdoors. I had tea, my friend had coffee, and we shared a baked good that was honestly really delicious. Service is super-friendly. There's a designated parking lot on the side of the building.

My best friend and I came into Jarrod's yesterday for a beading class that was hosted there. Upon arrival, we noticed that parking is a bit difficult. I did not see any actual parking spaces, only street parking. The shop is located in a Historic Home in downtown Mesa, which makes it very unique! We noticed a piano, guitar, microphone- apparently they host lots of performances. Definitely fun for those who enjoy live entertainment. The man at the front counter was friendly. He gave us details on all of the upcoming events, including one that involves Snoop Dogg's dad apparently?? We were also told that they would be hosting a "Dirty Mic" event that evening, which just so happened to take place at the same time as our jewelry class. The drink menu was hand written, hung on the wall near the front counter. There was also a small display shelf off to the side that held some of the baked goods they offer. It was not until after we ordered that we noticed they offer a few breakfast & lunch sandwich options. That would have been nice to know, as we were starving and expecting to have a light dinner before our class. Instead, we settled for a cream cheese danish, as recommended by the guy at the counter. The danish came out on a glass plate, dusted with powdered sugar. It was grocery store quality for sure. I can't remember how much it costed, but would not order again. It was very cold (maybe still defrosting???) I would prefer room temp or even a little warmer. My best friend also got a unsweetened hibiscus iced tea (comes with 1 free refill). She said that it was very good ! I got a medium blended Caramel Kick with whipped cream. The coffee was alright! I probably wouldn't order again, it was $8, which seemed a bit steep compared to other shops in the area. There is plenty of seating inside & outside. However, inside near the front counter is very congested- between people, tables and all of the random decor. There are many rooms that you can go into and enjoy all kinds of artwork, artifacts, and plenty of seating. This gives it a more private feel. This would be a great place to come and catch up with a friend or study (before open mic starts). To be fair, we were forewarned about open mic being "dirty" and completely unfiltered. I see where that is fun for some. However, it did kill the peaceful vibe of our beading class.... All in all, it was a unique experience at Jarrod's. I would never come in here for a cup of coffee or pastry. However, I would possibly come in for an event or as a place to connect with a friend. This place is definitely one of a kind! I'm happy we had a chance to check it out.

The new place is so cute! It's adorable and it really feels like home. You have art and local businesses and more in this coffee spot. They just moved so they're still feeling the place and making it more Jarrod's. I had a coffee and it was so good. The muffins are a must! Especially because they are made from a vegan baker. Hello?!?! I'm a huge blueberry muffin girlie and this one was my favorite! A must visit!

4.5 if it let me rate it that way! This place is an artsy vibe right off the bat. You can park on the side of the road and walk up to this little house that hosts events on weekends while being a coffee/tea/drink place. I got a chai and it's delicious. The coffee was strong so it wasn't my favorite so be aware if you are a sweet and smooth coffee person. The service was friendly and super informative on this place. Come here with your friends and check it out! You can also buy from small vendors inside trinkets and jewelry.

Everything here is such a vibe Their French artisan bread is *chefs kiss* and you've got to order a lavender vanilla latte, thank me later!

We visited this place on Super Bowl Sunday. It was kind of quiet but we stopped by to get a drip coffee and a black iced tea. I'm not sure what team they use but it was really delicious and had a natural sweetness to it. I husband can be pretty fussy about his coffee. He ordered a black trip and said it was pretty good. They have some bakery items that look good, but we didn't try any on this trip. This place is kind of fun and funky. They sell jewelry, paintings, and gift items.

I moved next to downtown Mesa not too long ago and just recently made time to explore the area. Jarrod's Coffee, Tea & Gallery is in the heart of downtown Mesa near a light rail stop. I have only been here once years back. Jarrod's is more than a coffeeshop. They display and sell artwork, vintage jewelry and crafts from local artists and have live music and poetry nights. They also have a monthly cannabis membership. You can check out their event schedule on their website. Jarrods has a nice variety of coffee drinks, teas, and Italian Sodas on their menu. They also bake all their pasties in house. I picked up a couple goodies to eat over the weekend along with some drinks. Jarrod's is a great spot to hang out and do some networking or to just chill and listen to some live music. The staff was very welcoming as well. Jarrod's Coffee has recently fallen on hard times due to inflation, rising rent and theft from a former employee. The community has been great in raising funds to help them out. Check out their GoFundMe page and help support a great local business.

    Some of the cool art....

Eleven out of ten stars! We stumbled upon this amazing place on a rainy day in 'sunny' Mesa. Warmly welcomed, great coffe plus THE COOLEST ART EVERRRRRR...!!

Had a lovely visit here and hubby got a lavender latte. Not my favorite but theirs was delicious! I highly recommend! The ambiance here is incredible and lots of Interesting art to look at along with jewelry/ all for sale. Check out the back room also. I'm definitely coming back!! For more coffee, tea or unique art.

Amazing vibes, so eclectic and welcoming! They do midnight ghost tours, HULU has done paranormal investigations here, too! How cool! Local art, live music, comedy shows, great food and drink! Check it out, you won't be disappointed!!

They also have a wet darkroom and both a process and digital lab that you can rent out. I have taken a photoshop class here in the past and enjoyed getting to know the founder Alan Fitzgerald. He has a deep passion and love for photography and is fun to chat with about photography. Every few months Art Intersection showcases an artist's photography work in their gallery. This includes an opening night reception where you can meet the artist and chat with them about their work. It's a great way to learn about many of the local photographers here in the Valley and view their work. The annual "No Strangers" exhibit is one of my favorites to check out. They used to have a fun event called Phototapas where they would celebrate the art of photography during the month of February. If you want to check out some great photography work and avoid the hassle of a larger museum, Art Intersection is open throughout the week and is free to visit.

Prior to going, I thought to myself: what can possibly make this weekly event so amazing. I thought I would be underwhelmed, Boy, was I wrong! I checked out the Art Walk for the first time in February. It took me a little while to find parking. Scottsdale has plenty of free street parking (which I always appreciate), including surface lots, but this is a popular event. After circling around for a few minutes, I was able to find a spot. In my opinion, here's the best way to enjoy the experience...have it come to you organically. Which is tough to say coming from someone who is a planner. Just walk around and walk into any and all of the art galleries that seem interesting to you. Of course, you can visit all of these galleries outside of the Scottsdale Art Walk. What makes this experience different is that rather than closing around 5 p.m., they keep their doors open late. Many of them will also offer complimentary drinks including wine, champagne, and cocktails. Awesome! With it being Scottsdale, you'll see a focus on Western and Native American art. That is not by any means the extent of what you'll find though. Some art galleries specialize in other styles of painting including surrealism, abstract art, French impressionism, or pointillism. Are y'all impressed with my knowledge of art? All of the art books I read when I was a kid are coming in clutch now. The art is generally quite expensive so I didn't buy anything but I still very much enjoyed the experience. You're also likely to find entertainment on the streets e.g. musicians and street performers. My favorite of the bunch I saw was a Native American performance. There are also Gold Palette Walks which are special versions of the weekly Scottsdale Art Walk. I haven't been to one of these, so I can't touch on how they compare, but I would like to at some point. I feel like a Scottsdale Art Walk is an experience all locals should check out at some point!
