Tried the banana coffee after a recommendation from a friend and it was so good! I will say it's a little pricey at $10, but it's one size and the size is luckily bigger than I thought it would be. It comes iced and if you're sensitive to caffeine like me, you can order this as a decaf banana coffee--and it still tastes amazing! This is hands-down our favorite coffee shop in the entire Valley. We go out of our way to come here every week, and sometimes multiple times a week because it's just that good. Their espresso is excellent, and I always order a latte with my own custom flavor combination using the syrups they offer. I also love their banana coffee, and their golden milk is fantastic. Honestly, everything we've tried has been great. The food is just as good as the drinks. We especially love the sourdough pizza, and their bagel with cream cheese is excellent. Every sweet treat we've tried has been delicious as well. What really keeps us coming back, though, is the people. The owner and Cali are incredibly kind and welcoming. It's always fun to stop in and chat with them, and they make a point to remember their customers, which makes the experience feel so personal and genuine. I have been on a vanilla latte kick lately and desperately needed one yesterday while in Downtown Mesa. I've been to Downtown Mesa PLENTY of times, but had never visited The Organic Bean Cafe, and I'm sorry to say I have regrets of taking so long. I ordered my latte and browsed while it was being made, and I saw the space beyond the coffee bar. It was a small area of some tables and chairs, cozy and quiet. As a former writer (pre-mom stage), I probably would have been here with my many notebooks and extra pens. Their menu features primarily classic coffee, espresso and tea offerings, along with a few specialty items. She mentioned their Banana Coffee is one of their most popular, which is a chocolate banana latte of sorts. I did not try it this time around, but will most definitely be trying next time around! I went for a classic cold brew, no sweetner and heavy cream floater. Simple and delicious! I then got one of their more popular pastries, the blueberry streusel muffin, which was DELICIOUS. So moist and flavorful with massive blueberries and a delicious topping. They also had a chocolate chip banana muffin offering. The barista let me know their pastries are 100% GF, vegan and paleo. I never would have known! They get them from a local baker and is the only cafe you can snag them! We had a mom meet up at the idea museum before mother's day and came here beforehand to catch up. The coffee was delicious and the service was amazing. We were in this space with 8 little girls and the owner was lovely. She even hand whipped the kids some fresh whipped cream to give them a coffee experience like the moms. There was a eco friendly floral backdrop for photos which was an unexpected bonus. I've been working in the building across the street for over 5 years now and this is my first time in, thanks to AzFoodie. I was definitely intrigued by the banana coffee! There is street parking, and there is also a lot behind the building. The lot next to the building states it is only for the attorney's office. There is also the big open lot on MacDonald. It is a very small and quaint space- there is no backroom. There is a small counter space where the owner brews coffee and a small sitting area. There is no menu displayed but there are small menus on the counter. The menu is basic but you are able to customize any drink. I went with the iced banana coffee (with almond milk) because that's what drew me in. I was surprised at the cost of $8 (one size only) but hey, I was committed! Several minutes later the owner brought my coffee to me. For one size only, it was a generous 24oz! The banana coffee is made with real bananas and you can taste it! It tastes like a banana chocolate milkshake! It's creamy and magical! Yes, the banana coffee is expensive, but worth trying! Also of note, EVERYTHING is organic! Espresso and lattes were about standard prices so I'll definitely come back to try those and save the banana coffee for special occasions! read more

OBC offers all organic treats and coffee, they do not have any artificial sweeteners, The poplar drink of choice is the iced banana coffee, so that's what I went with. To make this each banana is pureed at the time of ordering and I wasn't sure how coffee and banana would go, but I can tell this, this was a perfect marriage of flavors. There is only one size for the banana coffee but its so worth it! I honestly want to try out the other coffees/lattes offered but I just haven't had enough of the banana coffee yet, its just that good! If in the area go give OBC a try! read more

A hidden Gem located in downtown Mesa. First time here and it was Amazing. This small Cafe has some in door and out door seating. Well decorated too! They were very nice to talk too. They made me a Hazelnut Cappuccino and it was AAAAAWESOME!!!!!! Sooooo good I had 2. While I was there many locals came in and were so happy to get there morning fix. While there I learned that they also have Wine. They also have a small selection of Pastries. Stickers toooo! Quaint hole-in-the-wall, very small with four chairs inside and a few spots outside, with a charming environment. When I went in, there was just a couple sitting and knitting, which was cute. The service from Rachel was very sweet. She puts a lot of love into this cafe. The coffee was solid and I know it's all organic, but it didn't knock my socks off.
