4/29/26- I really enjoy coming to this coffee shop and tend to save it for more special occasions. I ordered a Carmel Macchiato with Almond milk and extra ice. Service was quick and he made sure it was just right. It was also nice to chat about coffee with someone who really has a detailed taste for it as well. I normally don't write reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough that I felt compelled to say something. I stopped in around 6:00 pm to get some work done before a cycling class. The first thing the cashier told me was that the espresso machines were already shut down and that only hot tea was available. I asked what time the shop closed, and he said 7:00 pm. Since I still had time, I decided to stay and purchased tea. After sitting down, I was told--due to construction--that they would be "locking up soon." I assumed this still meant 7:00 pm. I received my tea around 6:10 pm, and by 6:20 pm I was told they would be locking the doors and turning off the lights. At that point, it felt passive-aggressive and misleading. If I had been told upfront that the shop was closing early, I would not have ordered anything. I specifically asked what time you were closing, and that information was not communicated clearly until after I had already paid. Additionally, if the shop is supposedly open until 7:00 pm, it's confusing why the espresso machines were already turned off at 6:00 pm. As for the tea -- 2/10. I didn't even finish it. I'm sure the coffee may be good, but this is the first time I've been to a coffee shop where the espresso machine was shut down an hour before closing. Lastly, as a study space, it's very limited: only two tables with about eight chairs total. There are outlets, but not nearly enough to support people working. Overall, the lack of clear communication and the rushed, uncomfortable atmosphere made this a disappointing experience. read more

My 3 stars aren't meaning to be bad, just had average experiences, but it could still be worth your time. My first time was hard to find, if you park near Harkins theater and walk in that in-between area you will find it. It's nestled in a group of other businesses (salon/barber). The server was super nice and helpful. I went with their Christmas menu. It was a condensed milk and cinnamon. Usually a hit at other places for me but this lacked flavor, I had to fix it up once I got home. It's an 8$ latte so it hurts lol. I came back because I really wanted to try more of their Christmas menu. I did the abuelita and it was sooo tasty! My only issue is that it was luke warm, so at home I had to fix it again. So you could have good drinks if you ask the barista to fix it, but if you're in a rush might not have time or feel comfortable asking for a new drink. It's a clean aesthetic but I don't think cozy enough to set up and read a book or catch up with a friend for a while. Very limited seating especially with the business surrounding. If the quality of the drinks was just a bit more consistent, easily I could give those last stars and would recommend without hesitation read more

Coffee is good and different, their horchata is great and Adiel made a salted sweet drink the next time. Their pastries are also tasty. Environment is also relaxing where I was able to work as I waited for my barber. read more

A gem in the heart of the mall. Staffed by only one barista, but she does her work well. They can do pretty much anything as far as espresso goes, and have Red Bulls in the fridge they can infuse. Pretty spendy, I paid 8 bucks for a 20oz coffee, but they're friendly and the experience is cool. Worth a stop if you're feeling like a taste test! read more

While exploring new coffee spots near Santan Village, I discovered this hidden gem. If you're driving around trying to find it, you won't spot it right away. Park your car, take a short walk near the Forever 21 store, and you'll see the entrance. I tried their matcha latte with a touch of sweetness, and it was perfectly balanced. Stopped in before my sons birthday trip to build a bear! It took a minute to find this place but we were able to. There are salons and stuff here which is cool! They looked to have a bunch of tasty options and they have Dubai chocolate you can preorder! I got a cold brew with oat milk and my husband got a caramel latte. Service was great and fast! It is cute in here too I liked how they had little shelves with books. My drink was pretty good! Maybe a bit milky but not bad. My husband enjoyed his coffee as well! A Latin inspired coffee shop?! Say less. Since it was Mexican Independence Day, I was looking for well- a Mexican owned coffee shop to support & I'm so happy I decided to give this place a try. Situated inside The Collab salon suites, this place is hidden & may be tricky for some to find. Upon entry, I was immediately greeted by the male employee-possibly owner? who was very friendly. I decided on the Tres Leches Latte large iced w/ oat milk. And LET ME TELL YOU!! This coffee was incredibly delicious and offered all the flavors I would expect in this drink. My latte had flavors of Ibarra- an authentic Mexican chocolate similar to "Abuelita" chocolatè. Topped with whip cream & cinnamon this drink was IT. I typically have to travel out of my way to Phoenix to get coffee like this...but not anymore! Everything on the menu sounded great and deciding what to get is the hard part! This drink was part of their summer menu offerings but I really hope they add it to their fall menu. I can't wait to come back & try out more of their specialty drinks. read more

I would give La Taza a 3.5. There's not much seating as it's a shared space with some salon suites at the mall. Convenient place to stop before your hair appointment, though. The shop was clean and welcoming despite the size. Customer service was friendly, but a bit slow (only one worker on the shift). I got a dirty chai and my husband got a flavored coffee. Both were decent, but wasn't blown away. read more

I had the pleasure of meeting the owner while I was there. Extremely polite & you could just tell he was passionate about the business. We talked about upcoming exciting events at the shop & I can't wait to attend!! I requested his favorite latte and I was NOT disappointed!! He made a blue agave iced latte - I've never had this flavoring. It was a sweet honey/simple syrup type flavoring. Extremely tasty!! I also got a brownie & it was so soft and tasty. Stopped in here to grab a coffee when I was shopping with some friends while visiting Gilbert. Such a cute little spot to grab a coffee! Love that it's a local spot. There's not much to this spot, just basically would say it's a coffee bar so you can grab a drink and make your way out. The guy that took our order was super nice and friendly. I loved the little backdrop they had in here with the neon sign so of course had to take a photo. I think my friend even took one of her little girl in front of it. So cute! I ordered a vanilla iced latte with sugar free vanilla, which I was so glad they had. It was delicious and refreshing and did the trick to power me through the rest of the shopping trip and my day! I finally made it in to this coffee shop and I am so glad I did. I stopped by around 2:30pm with my sister and there was a small line forming with one barista working. She handled the line well and it was finally our turn to order after a few minutes of waiting in line. She kindly greeted us and thanked us for being patient. I had originally wanted to try out the "El Jefe" latte but when she told me it could only be made hot I decided to pass. I ended up settling for an iced Sugar Cookie latte with oatmilk and my sister tried out the iced Dos Leches latte with oatmilk. Total spent was $18, including a tip. We sat down and waited a few minutes for our lattes. When ready, the barista very nicely brought them out to our table. My latte had whip on top so I made sure to mix it in before taking a sip. The whip cream gave it a nice creamy texture, which I love. It was not too sweet, just right. My sister said her dos leches latte was ok but she wished it would've been a little more milkier as it was very strong. Overall we had a pleasant visit. I would come again. read more

Very slow, didn't acknowledge me when I got to the counter. He's just continued talking with a customer at the bar while making drinks. Extremely disappointed in the service. I ordered an unsweetened iced matcha latte with coconut milk. It was made promptly and it was OUTSTANDING!! Soft and creamy (not a single chalk tasted) he mixes it in a bowl with a brush. Wow delicious thank you for the over the top amazing beverage. The gentleman that took over on the counter when we were leaving was attentive, humorous, we chatted it up and built repor. The Collab is situated right next to Forever 21, near Harkins Theatre. I was greeted by a lovely barista upon entering. I asked a few questions about their offerings, but ultimately decided on my go-to, oat milk latte with honey and cinnamon powder. Though the delectable looking pastries were tempting, I resisted. My latte was ready in about five minutes and tasted wonderful. No complaints. There's a few tables as well as bar seating in the lobby. I absolutely love their menu. And the quality of the coffee is also top tier. Definitely try any of their lattes. And their pastries! The only thing is, you'll need to park nearby and walk a bit as it's located inside a shared space of this shopping center. We stopped here because of the impressive yelp reviews and might have missed it had I not read the reviews. It is near the theaters and tucked into an area by a hair salon. The day we were here they had a cute black bike with "La Taza" printed on it out front. They have a few tables and chairs to sit at as well as chairs at the bar which is cute. It was very clean and bright inside and Andre greeted us warmly when we walked in. Prices are clearly posted at the front. They have a few snack options as well- big cookies and pastries. They offer multiple milk choices like almond, oat, and 2% and I really appreciated that they have lavender syrup. We all loved our drinks as they came out exactly as we wanted. My lavender latte was smooth and delicious. La Taza is a winner. read more

I tried the Rosita latte and I'm still thinking about it four days later. The rose flavor is delicate but so gorgeous, I felt like a fairy drinking it. Usually in the busy mall areas I don't expect to find a food or drink spot that impresses me. This coffee shop however really impressed me! - The menu was so pretty and full of different and unique lattes and drink concoctions that looked so fun. I will definitely come back to try more. We tried the Rosita Latte, and it was the perfect amount of rose infused latte, it felt like a baby flower fairy danced on my tongue to bless me with a heavenly floral flavor. This drink came out so pretty, the mix of colors made almost a light blue and the flavor was sooo sweet and the flavors mixed surprisingly well! I'd recommend this if you love sweetness! - The inside was very bright, and they used the space very well. I'm not sure why but the GPS takes you to the opposite side and thank god I checked online for pics to see it's vicinity because I would have never found it. It's located inside these suite buildings that consists of all these small shops owned by women which is pretty cool. It's next to the harkins movie theatre. There is very limited seating but super cute aesthetic inside for pics. The barista is super nice and is a expert in all the drinks there. He recommended the salted caramel iced coffee since I'm not as adventurous when it comes to coffee and it was super good! Not too sweet and not too strong either - I was pleasantly surprised. Located in SanTan Village this small, but great coffee shop sits. Yelp's directions were a bit off and I had to walk around after parking to figure out that it is located on the backside of forever 21. You have to park and walk there is no parking in front like some of the other shops. The shop is small with a few tables and a small sit as bar. The menu is fairly small, but has some great options. I of course went for the cold brew and my daughter a latte. I almost tried their horchata latte because it sounded yummy but I'm trying to cut out sugar where I can. There are a few other shops inside. One was a small hair salon. According to their website they colab with other businesses which is awesome. The place is bright and service was awesome. The cold brew was fresh I only wish it had a bit more vanilla. I'd order it again. My daughter really liked her latte and she can be picky. La Taza is sooooo good! My friend and I stumbled upon this place after looking for new coffee places to try and we were not disappointed. I got their iced horchata latte and my friend got their iced lavender latte, both of which were phenomenal. The barista Andres was super friendly and happy to give recommendations on drinks. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be coming back to try their Mexican mocha, called the "dirty abuelita"! read more
