The employees here were friendly and patient with walking through menu recommendations. A couple of my friends love Piexoto, so I decided to stop in and try one of their seasonal lattes. I got the Amethyst Latte, which had ube in it. It was incredibly sweet, but it was creamy and tasted good. I would definitely ask for my coffee to be less sweet next time. The coffee shop was packed on a Sunday with people sitting at tables chatting and working on their laptops. This location also has a fun second story loft area with seating.
We decided to give Peixoto Coffee a second chance and hoped our first visit right after they opened for business had just been an off day. Unfortunately, our opinions haven't changed. Before I get into the coffee, I do want to mention what they do well. The space is beautiful, with plenty of seating, a bright and welcoming atmosphere, and a really cool upstairs balcony that's a great place to relax or get some work done. I truly wish I enjoyed their coffee because it's a place I'd love to spend time in. They also have a nice outdoor seating area! Unfortunately, the drinks were a disappointment. My cappuccino was one of the worst I've had, and what they call a medium was incredibly small. After reading other Yelp reviews mentioning the same thing, I poured it into a measuring cup when I got home. Including both the coffee and foam, it measured just 6 ounces. My daughter's Banana Brûlée Latte was also extremely bitter, and after a few sips, it ended up going down the drain. I genuinely wanted to like Peixoto Coffee because the atmosphere is fantastic, but great seating can't make up for coffee we didn't enjoy. Sadly, there won't be a third visit for us.
Not really loving this Peixoto location as of the last several months. There have been big changes in staff and it seems that the new cohort is not as friendly or trained in the customer service department. When I ask questions or make requests, I met with resistance and defensiveness, sometimes even a little bit of arguing. I've been cut off in the middle of asking a question so that the person behind the register can tell me that I'm wrong. I really don't appreciate this. At this location specifically, the keg for the tonic seems to have some technical issues because often times it is flat. Sometimes the baristas are willing to create a similar Bubbly drink using sparkling water and other times they just kind of throw their hands up and say sorry. The Matcha also tastes kind of oxidized or low quality. It's batched out and previously sweetened so there's not an opportunity to modify. I think there should always be a sugarless option. My favorite thing about Peixoto is their seasonal specials but I'm willing to forgo their fun, creative seasonal ideas for better service at other places in town. Peixoto used to be my favorite coffee shop and its been steadily making its way towards the bottom of my list.
Limited bakery options, especially if you come late in the day. Service is very friendly, though cleaning tables seems to be an afterthought. The coffee is tasty and nicely presented. Trendy atmosphere - but the torn seats are showing their age, ample parking, and a great selection makes for a good choice for your coffee fix.
I really wanted to love this place. The inside is beautiful and their staff was so nice. The drinks however, just disappointing. Maybe we caught them on a bad day but these drinks were not it. Mind you these two small drinks cost almost $20.
Absolutely amazing coffee! I I ordered a seasonal flavored cherry coffee along with an almond croissant. It was absolutely divine and quite large! Please put the cherry latte on the regular menu, it's divine! Lots of natural light and beautiful plants. This would make a great place to get some work done. There's also an upstairs!

This was my first time trying their matcha, and I think it was okay- definitely on the milky side, and the matcha tastes a little gritty. I might stick to coffee for future visits, and they always have really cool seasonal flavors! This location is stunning, a great spot to get some work done and get some sunlight through the large windows that reach the 2nd floor loft area. Lots of parking, and the staff is always a pleasure.
Absolutely love this coffee. We first tried their coffee in DT Chandler and fell in love. We now buy the biggest bags from the Gilbert location. We are partial to the chocolate roast but are a fan of this Honey roast too. Love the Gilbert location (2 story and ample areas to work and study and great patio seating for socializing. Go try their fun coffee drinks, the one with lavender is amazing.

I tried the seasonal pumpkin butter latte hot with macadamia nut milk. It was really rich and had a very nice balanced flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. The coffee here in general is some of the best in AZ. The little one had a kid's hot chocolate. This is her direct quote, "It is sooo good!" The cashier was very friendly and sweet. Peixoto is the place to go for delicious beverages and wonderful service.

The walk-up window is such a fun, unique touch. We ordered off the holiday menu and both drinks were so good. Even the baked goods looked unreal--you can tell everything is made with a lot of love. We stumbled upon this gem after a rough night sleep in a hotel not too far from this location. With us being first timers, staff was very helpful in explaining the menu and were able to suggest the perfect item for us to enjoy. The coffee was delicious. We also tried some of their pastries that are rotated daily from local bakeries (which is such a great idea) they were delicious! We went back several mornings during our trip enjoyed multiple pastries and coffee. I recommend this place definitely and we will be back on our next trip to AZ.

Peixoto has always been one of my favorite coffee shops in Gilbert since it opened. They have the great ambiance and what I would call "stress relief" of walking into a nice coffee shop, but the steady buzz of a place that's well run and people in the community enjoy. I've gone for just coffee and I've gone to actually work and drink coffee, and their split level plan gives customers a fair amount of options for seating, not to mention they also have outdoor seat in available (no thanks in the Summer)! While I've of course had some coffees here that I like better than others I've ordered, I've never had a single coffee here that wasn't truly enjoyable. On my recent visit I decided to order a normal latte, but to switch it up with macadamia milk instead of whole milk, which was suggested by the barista. This was a great recommendation that added a unique flavor to the drink and I honestly think I liked it even better than the normal latte I get! You have to stop in if you've never been. You can also visit their original location in Chandler if that's closer by! read more

If you want a great spot to meet with a friend or work, this Peixoto location is perfect! What stood out was the ambiance - it was very welcoming of anyone who wanted a quick pit stop or hours of work/study. I got a seasonal drink (Cindy Lou...) and my boyfriend got a cold brew + cream & white chocolate. Both drinks were SUPER sweet (and that's coming from a someone with a sweet tooth!) - so next time I stop in, I'd ask for half sweet. I recommend going during a less busy time of day (late weekend afternoons & weekdays). read more
Peixoto checks off all the boxes for a cool coffee shop! We're big fans after today's visit. The interior is light and airy. It was a busy Tuesday morning with lines going around the shop. The cashier was really friendly and knowledgeable about the coffee beans and shop history. I got an iced peppermint latte with macadamia milk. It was decadent! I was blown away and kept saying "wow!" Even though I requested 1/4 sweet, it was smooth, well-rounded and didn't need anything else. I'm not from around here but will be back whenever I get a chance. read more

Peixoto is my favorite coffee shop in the southeast valley. They have two locations - Chandler (the original) and Gilbert (in the Epicenter). They offer coffees, teas, lemonades, pastries from local businesses, and more. I like to try their seasonal drinks. It's summertime, so they have their popular coconut flavoring, available with or without dairy. You can even purchase a growler of the Coconut Cold Brew! My favorite version is an iced Coconut Matcha Latte with macadamia nut milk, half sweet. Another current special that's really good and worth trying is the S'mores Affogato, available all summer long. The staff is always very friendly and patient. There is plenty of seating inside on both floors. Outdoor seating is available as well. Parking can get pretty crazy throughout the Epicenter, but if you're just stopping in to grab and go, there are a few 15-minute parking spots right in front. read more
I'd give 5/5 for the coffee - I had a macadamia nut latte with honey, delicious! Just a note, almond milk is not an alternative milk here. They only have macadamia nut and oat milk. I'd give 3/5 for the service. The staff were not friendly at all. I waited by the counter to have my order taken while there were 5 girls in various stages of drink prep but not a single one acknowledged me so there was this super awkward quietness. Finally someone came out of the kitchen area and my order was taken but no one said "good morning, how can I help you.." it was just weird! When my drink was ready they just slammed it down and said my name and walked away. Such a weird experience! The shop was beautiful. It was a busy place on a Thursday morning, and I thought the loft was really cool. This looks like a great space to work or meet up with a friend. I'll come back, but I'm hoping for a better personal experience. read more

I came here with my mom one day to try something different. The building itself is really cute. The inside is a bit small but there is nice outside seating too. The barista we had was very nice. She answered our questions and was patient. Me and my mom each got a coffee and a macaron. But we learned that their pastries change out and are worth trying! Maybe next time The coffee was very good. It was smooth and didn't taste too strong. The macarons were okay, I got a fruity pebble one. The middle had a different texture than I'm used to, almost butter like. And left a weird feeling in my mouth. Overall, I would definitely return though! Visited this location with a few other coffee fanatics from an online coffee forum, and a great time was had by all. Baristas were doing manual pourovers with flat bottom brewers and gooseneck kettles, and pulling espresso shots at the top of their game. Bustling with people and activity, this place was full of energy and had seating areas both upstairs and down, with lots of options. A beautiful space! I had sampled the eponymous Gesha No. 5 three ways: espresso, cortado, and a bag of beans to take home. The espresso was intense and leaning tropical as promised by the tasting notes. Cortado was wonderful as well, with the fruit flavors punching through the milk well. A sample of the Gesha as a pourover revealed that it's great in that preparation as well, and confirmed again once I got it home. Overall, a lovely place to get a coffee and hang out, but to be sure, this is miles above the norm; it's for coffee lovers, by coffee lovers, Definitely check it out. read more
I really want to love Peixoto but sadly most of the time that I go, I'm a bit disappointed. Still, I go to try the seasonal flavors that are creative and made with house-made syrups. However, a 16 oz is $8 before tax and tip which is pretty steep, and it never has enough coffee flavor for me. I don't prefer how they can only do espresso shots in increments of 2 --their 16 oz iced lattes are too milky with not enough coffee taste but adding an extra 2 shots is too much, not to mention the additional cost. read more
Great place to go and chill for a couple hours. They have an upstairs lounge area for relaxing main floor has tables were you could work on your computer and other things if needed great outside seating area and the coffee is amazing. Peixoto excels in terms of the physical facility. Very nice inside and out. Located in Epicenter area near Agritopia, its a nice stop. Decent parking. On my visit, the inside tabless were pretty full of people hanging out doind work it looked like. There is a balcony with tables inside and that was full as well. Ended up sitting outside with my service dog, which was fine. There are no dedicated handicap seating tables inside, or if there were, those tables were taken. My large Americano (my go to for evaluating coffee shops) was just ok. Tasted like roast they were using was very light, so I got a watered down taste even though there were two espresso shots. Plus it was lukewarm. Gotta subtract a star for that. Staff was friendly and responsive. Maybe if I had ordered a different drink, I'd have been blown away, but I like my coffee basic and hot, and the place didn't deliver. read more
