Struggled a bit with this place especially after reading so many glorious reviews. It's clear to me that it really depends on what you're looking for and I'm looking for great espresso drinks. I'm just not finding it. I'm a big Cortado guy and they have one prominently on the menu. We've been here a few times and each time my wife's flavored latte is quite lovely, but would it be if it wasn't iced? The service is pleasant, the cafe itself is clean and cute, they have a restroom for patrons. But when it comes to pouring a Cortado, they don't know how to do it. It's just some steamed milk dumped on espresso in a paper cup. Any time a barista puts a cap on your cup (paper cups are generally a bad sign, but some are very good, but still not as good as glass cup poured versions) it's clear they intend to hide the lack of microfoam head, the art itself is how you build this drink. The pastries are great. I've wanted to like this place really because of the story, but if you're really into espresso there are so many better options than Cosita. read more

I visited Casita Coffee for the second time the other day and can easily say they make a great product. Both times I have ordered matcha latte's... they use high quality matcha tea and always have fun seasonal drinks. This most recent trip I ordered the Berry Bunny Latte as a matcha, which was DELICIOUS! I truly was trying to get every drop of the wild berry puree. Yummmmmm! The lavender maple donut was great and had a ton of lavender flavor! I also ordered the Cookie Butter Latte which the large comes for 4 shots. I always appreciate coffee shops that make the ratios of coffee to milk properly. They had a ton of seating inside and a couple tables outside. Oh my goodness, I have been wanting to come here and it did not disappoint!!! A little Hispanic inspired coffee shop with traditional Mexican coffee infusions, and to come during Christmas time!? What a win. First of all, they have amazing little treats, including vegan donuts. I'm not vegan anymore, but the texture of a vegan donut tops all traditional cake donuts, in my opinion. With fun flavors like, churro, or blueberry lemon with poppy seed, YUMM. The stuffed croissants are also a must have. The service is sweet and friendly, Mia is typically who I see there and she's really delightful to visit with. The space is small and quiet which is great for working and the location itself is in such a prime spot. As a matcha girly I was very disappointed with my banana matcha latte. Matcha taste was not there and tasted more like sweet banana and milk. My partner had the cookie butter latte which was better than my matcha latte but still pretty weak taste in coffee and definitely very milky as well. However, the ambience was nice. read more

09/21/2025 This local coffee shop has been on my list for quite some time! Finally stopped by with a friend after we had breakfast nearby. It's located in a small plaza with limited parking. We got there around 10:45AM on a Sunday, and there were a few people in line ahead of us. Their new Fall menu has pumpkin horchata, pumpkin spice, cold brew pumpkin cold foam, pumpkin cookie butter latte, Spanish pumpkin, and salted maple. The pumpkin spice and Spanish pumpkin can be made with espresso and matcha. I love a plain matcha latte but was intrigued by the combination of pumpkin and matcha, so I ordered the Spanish pumpkin matcha. They use pumpkin puree, and you can definitely taste the freshness. The flavor combo was delicious, and I was honestly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. My friend got the pumpkin spice latte and highly complimented the flavor as well. They also have a small pastry case on the counter with both sweet and savory options - gluten free & vegan donuts, fruit danishes, conchas, and a couple of savory croissants and bagels. I tried the strawberry poppyseed donut - the strawberry icing was tasty, but the donut was too dense for my liking. I heated up the leftover donut in the microwave, and that helped lighten the texture a little bit. The space is relatively small with a couple of small tables, a couch with a coffee table, and a couple of bigger chairs with a small side table. There are a few games in the coffee table and a card set with interesting table topic prompts. My friend and I spent like over half an hour there just chatting and enjoying our drinks. I came for the ghost pan dulce lol which is from another business But I did hear the coffee is good here Spanish pumpkin latte was so delightful! They maintained a good balance of coffee then the added flavor but not sweet! A friend and I had been wanting to try a new coffee shop and she lives in the area so we viewed our options and decided this was the pick! Upon entering, the vibes were immaculate. It's a cute, cozy space to sit and chat with a friend. They had a pastry display and I absolutely love conchas so I couldn't resist getting the cookie butter concha. The drink we both decided on was the Pumpkin Horchata Latte, which is a fall menu item. It consists of Casita's horchata recipe with added pumpkin purée & pumpkin spice, espresso. Prior to ordering, I thought that drink sounded amazing and was excited to taste it. However, post taste I did not feel excited as much. The taste was a bit of a let down and it tasted slightly better after I added a packet of sugar :(. It missed the mark for both of us unfortunately. Stopped by Casita Coffee while staying in Gilbert for a family wedding and we are all so glad we did! Amazing customer service and all three of our drinks were genuinely so good. Not to mention the shop is so comfy to stay in and enjoy your drinks and plays the best music. I have been here a fair share of times now. It's always a bit of a drive for me to go out of my way for this coffee unless I'm in the area or at the farmers market. I had won a gift card over the summer from instagram and was able to redeem it recently for the cute snowmen cups. Definitely used them for our holiday family pictures. The coffee itself anytime i have been was just okay. The flavors are always very very mild. Anytime it says a particular flavored latte or mocha i never taste the flavors. The coffees were fine but just not a lot to remember flavor wise. For example i dream about the kettle corn latte from peixoto every fall because of the buttery sweet goodness. Never had that type of experience here unfortunately and i always want to have that at any local coffee shop because that's all i ever promote is shopping small/supporting local because I hate huge corporate businesses that could care less if you support them or not. So do i like the coffee and matcha here...sure. Its good. Would i go out of my way multiple times no. Service is always fine. Also nothing memorable again. But that's most coffee shops in Arizona. Cute little quaint coffee shop that is located in a small strip mall. This place is also a popular spot during the Gilbert Farmers Market months as well. They have an adorable small coffee trailer with a long line every Saturday we been there, but had never tried it until today. Great menu and unique offerings. My daughter got their Coco Latte & Banana Tres Leches Cream Foam off their Spring Menu and I got the Cookie Butter Blend off their Specialty Menu. They have a small fresh pasty/ danish selection at the counter in store as well. One employees staffed that was professional & pleasant. The ambiance is that of a guesthouse (Casita) full of charter & charm adorned with a spanish theme decor from terracotta to a modern clean charm that is intimate and cozy. I stopped in randomly for a Friday morning treat after dropping my little one off for school. The young lady behind the counter was very sweet and helpful in sharing with me all the options I had after telling her I wanted matcha. To be clear there are lots of options, especially seasonal ones. I feel like everyone has the basic vanilla, lavender, blueberry, strawberry so it was really cool to see things like apple butter and peach cobbler. This why I support local over chains all day! I ended up going with the peach cobbler matcha and it was so good, just the right amount of sweetness and flavor but not overpowering. I also got a berry danish because it's Friday lol. Came here on a Friday, late morning, to meet up with a friend to catch up. We only ordered coffee, no pastries. We both enjoyed our coffees. We both had the seasonal drink, Strawberry Horchata, it was delicious. If you like horchata and are up to exploring different flavors, this is your place as the seasonal menu changes often. They also have a regular coffee menu for those that just want the normal stuff. They also have a small water cooler with cups on the counter so you can serve your own free water as you wait for your drink. It was great as a palette cleanser afterwards without having to go ask for it. For a Friday it was busy. They are small and cute, perfect for an afternoon coffee. They have several small tables and chairs along with a sofa but perhaps because it's near downtown and across the street from the school district office, it gets filled up pretty quick. When full it can get pretty noisy but that adds to the ambience. If you love people watching, this is a great place to do that. I'm sure they have quiet moments but expect spurts of busy moments that can get noisy. It was a great visit for us and we will definitely be back! read more

I visited Casita Coffee this morning for a business meeting and found the place very busy with people placing to go orders and with folks enjoying the atmosphere to sip their coffee. There are a few small tables outside for seating, a living room area upon entering, and about 3-4 tables for 2 to sit. The staff appeared to be either sisters or really good friends who wanted to take their hispanic heritage and translate that into coffee. The vibe was modern, relaxing, and had a touch of hispanic roots really paying homage to the owner's heritage. I ordered the Peanut Butter Latte upon recommendation of the barista and this did not disappoint. The drink was full of peanut flavor and had subtle coffee notes. I believe they used the PB powder but I also noticed there was a jar of peanut butter on the counter so I am assuming both. You really get the PB flavor at the first sip and it intensified as I got to the bottom of the drink where some of the PB settled. While waiting for my drink I noticed they serve a variety of pastries including concha's and breakfast burritos. I also witness someone order a strawberry iced matcha latte which looked AMAZING!!! The latte was perfectly layered and I wish I would have ordered this...next time! Stopped by for some coffee and I really like how they turned this place around. It is very simple, has a welcoming vibe, and it has a very clean look. I greeted the worker as I walked in and he greeted me back. I ordered an iced pumpkin spiced latte and the ordering process was quick. There was just one other customer there at the time (she was sitting) and I only waited a few minutes for my drink. I wasn't able to hang out since I had an appt to get to but I did sit for a few minutes while I waited. There was no music playing nor any background noises so it was very very quiet inside... which imo can be a little awkward. The drink was really good and not too strong. Casita Coffee now has a brick and motor store which is fantastic! They are located south of Downtown Gilbert in a cozy strip mall. Their interior is very cute and they a few seats available inside and outside. My husband and I both ordered lattes but his was the Pumpkin Horchata Latte, mine the Blue Churro Latte. I AM a pumpkin spice girly and love all seasonal flavors so I do recommend getting all their pumpkin during the season - it is so good. But off-season, the Blue Churro was very good and was not too sweet. We spent time outside enjoying the cooler weather and that my little one was down for his nap. From starting out a as mobile coffee trailer, Casita Coffee has embarked on a new adventure and finally opened the doors to their new storefront coffee shop! Upon entry, you'll see the simple yet adorable boho decor and seating they offer. A few 2 seater tables and a very comfy sofa await you. We came at the perfect time as it was just a few people, but the line quickly grew out the door behind us. Right now they're offering a few fall specialty drinks from their menu for a limited time. I decided upon one the pumpkin horchata latte with pumpkin cold foam. The drink was delicious! The horchata was very subtle but still taste able, and the pumpkin cold foam topped it off perfectly. Casita Coffee is officially my new favorite coffee shop in Gilbert (way better than Light Heart). I ordered the salted maple latte with tres leches cold foam and holy smokes it might be the best coffee I've ever had. It wasn't overly sweet, the espresso was incredibly smooth, and you can truly taste the high quality of the coffee. The girls working there were so kind and welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely put their heart into this place. The decor is beautiful and aesthetic, making it an amazing spot to study or just hang out. I appreciate them having power strips and outlets conveniently placed for studiers like me.
