Ordered the spumoni iced latte. Do not recommend. I would come back for the pastries but not the coffees

I would go back for the pastries but not the coffee. Did not taste like coffee just flavored milk. The girl at the counter was really nice tho.

We came here to experience and enjoy Villa Meola Coffee that just moved into the same location AND LOVED EVERY LITTLE THING ABOUT IT. Prime location, FABULOUS coffee, gorgeous shaded and fenced patio with a spacious interior PERFECT for kids and adults. Villa Meola is so bright and open inside but not over stimulating. The lighting is well thought out for both working and/or kids who are more sensitive to light or noise. The music is fun, classical and appropriate both for volume and language. (finally- more places like this pleaseeee) The atmosphere is super inviting and friendly for people of all age in both space AND a toy corner. There is also a large Connect 4 game outside. My four year old actually shouted, "I love it here." And I, with 4 under 4 was able to sit and enjoyed my fantastic drink under the sunshine while I could see my kids play through the open door and window. To my pleasure, I had the privilege of meeting the owners. Callen, also a mother, was so warm and welcoming. I cannot believe they have been open such a short time as they have a deep understanding of their space, demographics and impressive knowledge in making Italian coffee. This is not another boujie, over priced coffee shop that pretends to be kid and work friendly. This is the real deal. So great!

This spot is a cute newer coffee shop in downtown gilbert and sooo good! Locally owned by Gilbert residents who are super nice and have great customer service! They make their own house syrups and the flavors are amazing! I had the Cannoli Latte and it actually tastes like Cannolis; it even has real cannoli cream! The atmosphere is bright and family friendly. Cute vibes, highly recommend you check it out!

OH MY GOD! We are visiting from Carmel CA to see our family in AZ for the holidays. This coffee shop is awesome!!! Everyone is so kind and engaging, there's plenty of space inside and out, and the kids can run and play freely. But my favorite part is the coffee and food. Being Italian, this was a must. I tried sooo many lattes (I had to!!) and they were all excellent. Everything is made from scratch using amazing, high quality ingredients. The coffee flavors are complex, but not overpowering so you can actually enjoy the espresso. The food is the same- home made and beautiful quality. I love this place so much and wish we had one in California!! Will be back, for sure.

Super cute and amazing service! They explained their flavors and made syrups, offered up favorites based on what we liked and delivered on the coffee! While we were there we noticed a big group of moms and toddlers come in and enjoy the space with a cute play area for toddlers. Very family friendly and tons of table space options if you want to hang out and work.

Play area for little kids. Perfect for moms who need some caffeine and wanna keep the little busy

The ambiance of the place is amazing. Nice family owned little shop, brand new in a prime location! The gorgeous weather in the morning makes for a perfect little place for coffee. Got a delicious cherry cold brew with mocha, as well as a delicious scone. The coffee was perfect! Not bitter, not too sweet at all, nice coffee flavor. The scone? Fresh and practically melted when I took a bite. The customer service was great! They brought out the drink to the patio and everything! The music is perfect to cover up the sounds of the cars, making this an overall perfect little coffee shop. Outside and inside are great places to host little groups and events. There's even a little play area for kiddos!

Met a friend at Villa Meola for a coffee break from work and selected this location by chance because it was a midway meeting point for us. I was a little apprehensive with it being inside a gelato shop but we decided to give it a go anyway! We met the owners Michael and his wife Callen and had wonderful conversation learning about the beginnings of the coffee shop and some of the origins and thought behind flavors and menu offerings. I love the HOUSEMADE flavors and Italian theme of Villa Meola - the unique, and seemingly odd, flavor combinations totally work! I tried the Panettone latte because I love panettone and missed out on having some of this holiday season and my friend decided to try the Caprese - I definitely smelled/tasted a little bit of tomato soup on the front end and a delicious, slightly acidic but balanced latte on the back end. They have an amazing and versatile outdoor space that welcomes families and customers of all ages. Perfect location with an amazing setting and such fun flavors. I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

Such a great spot!! Family owned and operated with EXCELLENT coffee, scones and focaccia! Try the cinnamon honey in your latte- it's worth it! The patio is really cute and quiet for being right downtown Gilbert and it's family run with excellent service. Will absolutely be back!

The second you walk in, you're surrounded by a romance book-lover's dream. The ambiance feels like stepping into a cozy Hogwarts library. It's warm, magical, and the perfect place to get lost in a book. There is also a vintage-style Photo Booth that will print out two photo strips for $5! I also love the story behind this place starting online and growing into a physical bookstore that now carries such a fun variety of books, plus the cutest hip and trendy merch (hats, book pins, shirts, and more). The coffee is good, and their menu is surprisingly extensive. I ordered the cookie butter latte and was genuinely impressed by both the size and the taste. On top of all that, the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Whether you're looking to study, find community, or just yap with fellow book lovers, this is such a fun and inviting space!

Lots of seating. I ordered a chai and they use a spiced mix. It's good not the normal Maya chai you see at most coffee shops. They also have energy drinks so I'd say this is a typical "quick" coffee shop style where you shouldn't expect in house flavors being made or anything and very sweet drinks (which I love). I got an almond croissant which was delicious. They get their pastries from the Gadsby Bakery I believe. They're so good. The service was so friendly and we got our drinks so quick!

Everything about it just feels right -- the vibe, the people, and especially the food. You can tell they actually care. The staff is super welcoming and generous, not in a forced way, just genuinely good energy from the second you walk in. Food-wise, they don't miss. The honeycomb with cream cheese inside is insane -- sweet, rich, and something you don't really see anywhere else. The Dubai chocolate latte is a must-try too, super smooth and indulgent without being over the top. The beef samosas are perfectly crispy and packed with flavor, and the chocolate pistachio croissant is easily one of the best pastries I've had in a while. Honestly, every time I go I end up trying something new and it's always solid. You can tell they put real thought into everything they serve. Definitely one of those spots you keep coming back to.

I ordered the brown sugar coconut latte and it was sooooooo good. I would say it was my ideal cup of coffee! Service was not terrible, but wasn't notable. Be sure to stick around inside to get your coffee. They only bring your order to you if it's a pastry (at least that's what it seemed). It was pretty busy inside when my friend and I went, so we chose some chairs outside. They gave her a number for her pastry and brought it out, but we had to go up to the counter to find our drinks after waiting several minutes and wondering. That all would have been great info to know when ordering initially. Definitely will be returning! Side note: If you're familiar with downtown Chandler, this won't come as a surprise, but since I'm not a Chandler-regular, I was a little surprised at the lack of parking aside from parallel parking just in front of the actual coffee shop. Ended up parking in a free parking garage, but it was a little bit of a walk to the coffee shop from the parking garage.

In addition to the regular entrance, they have a huge garage door access so on nicer days they can open up the seating area for fresh air and more of an outside but inside vibe. Staff were friendly barista hippie types but took a while for them to acknowledge us standing there even though there was no line. Ordered one hot tea and a seasonal coffee drink. Neither were great and their pricing is misleading. For example the seasonal drink was supposed to be $5.89 but was charged $7.65 and the tea was nothing more than a basic tealeaves in hot water. We didn't add any items to justify the upcharge but when I brought it to the cashiers attention she was unsure how to adjust the price or offer a refund unless we wanted loose change. SMH. If a Customer pays by Apple pay, they should be refunded or credited in the same way. Seems like a space intended for Co-working or digital nomad types as there were about 4 people with laptops and headphones sipping on drinks. Because of the ultra cool vibe, I'll definitely give them another chance to change my mind if I'm nearby but I think for what we ordered it wasn't a great price to value.

I'm a big Cortado guy and they have one prominently on the menu. We've been here a few times and each time my wife's flavored latte is quite lovely, but would it be if it wasn't iced? The service is pleasant, the cafe itself is clean and cute, they have a restroom for patrons. But when it comes to pouring a Cortado, they don't know how to do it. It's just some steamed milk dumped on espresso in a paper cup. Any time a barista puts a cap on your cup (paper cups are generally a bad sign, but some are very good, but still not as good as glass cup poured versions) it's clear they intend to hide the lack of microfoam head, the art itself is how you build this drink.
