I stopped by the other day to try the berry cobbler drinks after hearing about it online. I tried it with espresso and matcha. They were both really good! I'm glad they're on the permanent menu. It looks like they also have a rotating seasonal menu as well. Between the two, I would probably favor the berry cobbler with espresso. The one with matcha was a little sweet for me but I believe you can ask for it half sweet so that maybe would've helped. This location had some seating indoor and outdoors. Great coffee shop located in Downtown Gilbert. I went on a Sunday and it was extremely packed and a little loud. It would be fun to stop by again on a non-busy day. There is a lot of indoor seating and a few tables outside. The baristas are super nice and great with recommendations. I was gutsy and as a non-matcha lover, I ordered the Strawberry Shortcake Matcha. I loved it! It was refreshing and the strawberry helped balance out the matcha taste, it was noticeable but not overwhelming. I would love to try some of their other fun drinks. I've been to the Light Heart Coffee shop in Scottsdale and enjoyed it so I was excited to hear they opened one in Gilbert. My husband and I had just finished a round of golf nearby and I was looking for caffeine and some treats. We decided to hit up Light Heart Coffee. The space has similar vibes to their Scottsdale location. I love the clean and stylish aesthetic. The staff was friendly. I ordered a raspberry pop tart and their seasonal coconut flavor, "Island Time" in a matcha. The raspberry pop tart was delicious and is from a local bakery, Suss Pastries, which I'm a fan of. I'm a sucker for homemade poptarts. However, the matcha didn't do it for me. Not sure if it was the coconut flavor or the matcha, but it didn't hit the spot. We have been to the light heart Scottsdale coffee location a few times and have really enjoyed it there. Our visit to the Gilbert spot was different. Their Gilbert café has a perfect corner location just off Gilbert Road in the downtown corridor. We visited this bright and cozy coffee shop on April 30th. I ordered the 12 oz. Rabbit Trail espresso drink ($7) because the menu mentioned homemade carrot cake syrup and walnut. Unfortunately, the carrot cake flavor was barely noticeable, and the walnut topping was missing entirely -- which was the main reason I chose the drink. My daughter ordered the Spring Fling specialty drink ($7). She could mostly taste lemon rind, while the syrup flavor itself seemed absent. With that said, the poppy seed and lemon garnish on top of the foam was very pretty. The space was pleasant enough, but for us, it lacked a memorable atmosphere or vibe that made us want to stay. While drinking our beverages, we agreed that we probably wouldn't go out of our way to return. Free parking is available either in the lot behind the building or along the street. read more

I've been a longtime customer of Lightheart Coffee, originally from their OG location off Shea in Scottsdale, and I was really happy to see them open closer to me in Gilbert, not much closer but closer nonetheless. The owners are genuinely some of the sweetest and cutest couple ever. The drinks are yum every time, especially their specialty lattes which are what I usually stick with. They manage to keep things balanced and not overly sweet, which I appreciate. It can get busy, especially during peak hours, so coming early helps if you don't want to wait around. But even when it's crowded, the vibe stays pretty calm and welcoming. Also, their Instagram is worth checking out because it's funny, and creative. Check them out if you haven't already! read more

Never noticed that the cookie dough place swapped out for a coffee shop, so we tried it out. Fast, friendly service. It's really cozy inside as well. We got the nitros, mine with vanilla, hers with just stevia. They both tasted pretty close to the same, but that being said, they were both delicious and some of the better nitros I've had. Better than Starbucks at least. Unfortunately one coffee was dropped and we cried at the memorial.... But we'll be back to try again read more

We stopped by here for the Sephora collab event. The line was around the building at 6:40am. We didn't get the bag giveaway, but still got one of the Summer Fridays lipgloss with purchase of one of their special drinks. The staff was very nice and kept making sure everyone stayed hydrated in line by serving cold water. I thought that was very thoughtful and deserved 5 stars. The special collab drinks were not impressive though. It was my first time trying a drink and I got the sparkling guava lemonade. The guava flavor was very light. I overheard others were not impressed with the vanilla cake and said it was decent, which is why I optes for the lemonade. I thought it was nice that they still made sure to have a small giveaway for their other customers after the bags were gone. My recommendation is to only give one bag per person paying because a couple of ladies came out with their little kids...the two year old had a bag and the 5 year old received a bag, too. I understand they each got a drink, but I don't think the kids will be using the Summer Fridays products... read more

This place was great! Light Heart has been on my list for a while now, and I was excited to see they were close by an appointment I had that morning! I came by on a weekday around 9am and had no problem finding street parking. There is indoor/outdoor seating and the whole place was bright and clean. I decided to try one of their seasonal specials called Rabbit Trail which had their homemade carrot cake syrup. It was delicious, and I loved the candied walnuts on the side. They offer their special drinks made with either espresso or matcha which is nice (I choose espresso). Everyone working was super friendly, and my drink came up quickly. This coffee shop is so cute! The girls working were really sweet and pretty quick for a busy Friday morning! As far as drinks and food, the pastries were SO good. Probably the highlight of the visit was their chai muffin and date pop tart looking dish. The coffee was strong but the flavor was lacking, my husbands peach coffee had no actual peach flavor to it despite the appearance. I enjoyed my visit to this fairly new coffee shop to downtown Gilbert. The coffee was decent and I really enjoyed the matcha (yes, I had to try two drinks haha!). I also ordered a breakfast item. It was a scramble bowl type thing. It was very tasty, but way too expensive for the tiny cup you get. So I would not order food again, but I will definitely be back for the matcha and the atmosphere. I've been to other locations but this was my second time at the Gilbert location. I think the owners are doing much better with staffing because the line wasn't wrapped around the building like it normally is and I was able to order + get a coffee in about 20 mins or so which is definitely much shorter than usual when it comes to their other locations. For the most part every single drink I have gotten here has been nothing short of amazing. If you don't like the drink they are always so helpful and willing to remake something else for you. My favorite is the berry cobbler- never in a million years did I think blueberry and coffee would go well together but it's such a perfect combo! (Even good with matcha too!) This location probably has the most seating out of all their locations- it's always so sweet to visit! The back area is perfect if you are needing to take some work calls or looking for a quiet space! There is a big public parking lot right around the corner! read more

I love that they have a variety of housemade syrups and don't charge extra for non-dairy milk. I asked for a recommendation for a matcha drink, and the barista suggested the Berry Cobbler matcha, which she said is their most popular--and it was definitely delicious. The drink was sweet, flavorful, and honestly really pretty. That said, I wasn't asked what size I wanted, so I'm assuming this was the smaller size, and for the price, it felt a bit on the expensive side. While everything seems pricey everywhere these days, the cost combined with the size is what knocked this down to four stars for me. Got there early and turns out my friend and I were first in line to be the first ever customers! Once they open the doors, I ordered an apple pop tart and the black cherry cobbler specialty coffee. The coffee was absolutely delicious. The interior was on brand to their other locations. all gorgeous dark wood. I love the back seating area as it provided gorgeous, lighting and a homey feel. The decor for sale is a nice touch! The only thing that caught my eye was a lack outlets. Starting with the banana matcha, the sweetness was on point but honestly couldn't taste the matcha. The flavor of the matcha was overpowered by the milk and banana. The same goes for the blueberry matcha, a bit too overpowering. Although I couldn't taste the matcha, the drink overall was still good. I drove 45 minutes out of my way just so I could have their coffee again! They have the most fun and unique and delicious drinks. I've been to the Shea location and fell in love with the berry cobbler matcha, but it's a bit of a drive for me, so I was stoked to see Light Heart open a Gilbert location! I went on a Sunday morning, about 40 minutes after opening and the line was out the door! About 25 people or so ahead of me. Luckily it moves pretty quick, the weather was gorgeous, and their music was top choice so I didn't mind the wait. I went with their seasonal Nisu latte: vanilla, raspberry and cardamom. It was perfectly sweet, fruity, and balanced. I was hoping to snag a pastry while I was there but they were all sold out by the time I got there. Oh well, just motivation to go right at open next time! I tried to drink the 2% but unfortunately just cannot do it. I am just surprised that a new coffee shop does not offer this so we will just avoid this place unfortunately. Service was good and quick. A coffee shop with coffees that are truly addicting with perfectly crafted flavors. Mornings around opening time are very busy but there is much less wait around midday or afternoon. So far, I have tried the Nisu and Snowbird coffees. The nisu is incredibly balanced with raspberry, cardamom, and vanilla and the snowbird is decadent with chocolate and brown butter toffee. The prices are a little bit higher for smaller coffees, but this is one of the only coffee shops I've been to where I'm sad when I've finished my drink! read more

I was super excited to try this coffee shop! I've heard good things about their Scottsdale location but never go to the side of town. I stopped by on a Sunday after church and the line was pretty long, I think it ended up taking 45 minutes just for us to order. Surprisingly the drinks didn't take too long to get made. I decided to get an iced matcha with the berry syrup, as that's the drink I've been seeing most on instagram. It ended up being just okay, nothing special. The matcha wasn't my favorite, I think the berry syrup saved it a little. We also were going to get food, but they did not have food available yet cause I think it was only the second week they'd been open. I've been wanting to try this place since it opened so last Sunday I was in downtown so I stopped in. I waited in line behind two other customers and it seemed like an eternity before any of us were acknowledged. Waiting waiting waiting. Employees walking by but nobody stopping to greet customers. Finally some girl came to the register and was talking about another location they wanted to open near Queen Creek and Higley but she found out they wont get the space. The first customer in line asked a question about it and she continued to talk forever about it. So long that I just left and went across to Maeva. I was greeted right away with a smile and made the most delicious iced latte. Maevas neighbor should step up their game. I've been so excited to try this viral coffee shop and it did not disappoint! We came on a Sunday around 10:30am and were shocked to see the line wrapped around the building. I was ready to go home and try again another day but my husband encouraged us to wait so we did. The line moved very quickly, and we made it through in about 10 minutes. I was so conflicted with the holiday flavors, everything looked so good. I ended up going with Narnia which is made with rosemary and carmel syrup; it was incredible. The syrups are not overly sweet and balance well with the espresso. No overpowering of either flavor. It's a great spot, open air and minimalistic. Staff were very friendly.
