The employees here were friendly and patient with walking through menu recommendations. A couple of my friends love Piexoto, so I decided to stop in and try one of their seasonal lattes. I got the Amethyst Latte, which had ube in it. It was incredibly sweet, but it was creamy and tasted good. I would definitely ask for my coffee to be less sweet next time. The coffee shop was packed on a Sunday with people sitting at tables chatting and working on their laptops. This location also has a fun second story loft area with seating.
We decided to give Peixoto Coffee a second chance and hoped our first visit right after they opened for business had just been an off day. Unfortunately, our opinions haven't changed. Before I get into the coffee, I do want to mention what they do well. The space is beautiful, with plenty of seating, a bright and welcoming atmosphere, and a really cool upstairs balcony that's a great place to relax or get some work done. I truly wish I enjoyed their coffee because it's a place I'd love to spend time in. They also have a nice outdoor seating area! Unfortunately, the drinks were a disappointment. My cappuccino was one of the worst I've had, and what they call a medium was incredibly small. After reading other Yelp reviews mentioning the same thing, I poured it into a measuring cup when I got home. Including both the coffee and foam, it measured just 6 ounces. My daughter's Banana Brûlée Latte was also extremely bitter, and after a few sips, it ended up going down the drain. I genuinely wanted to like Peixoto Coffee because the atmosphere is fantastic, but great seating can't make up for coffee we didn't enjoy. Sadly, there won't be a third visit for us.
Not really loving this Peixoto location as of the last several months. There have been big changes in staff and it seems that the new cohort is not as friendly or trained in the customer service department. When I ask questions or make requests, I met with resistance and defensiveness, sometimes even a little bit of arguing. I've been cut off in the middle of asking a question so that the person behind the register can tell me that I'm wrong. I really don't appreciate this. At this location specifically, the keg for the tonic seems to have some technical issues because often times it is flat. Sometimes the baristas are willing to create a similar Bubbly drink using sparkling water and other times they just kind of throw their hands up and say sorry. The Matcha also tastes kind of oxidized or low quality. It's batched out and previously sweetened so there's not an opportunity to modify. I think there should always be a sugarless option. My favorite thing about Peixoto is their seasonal specials but I'm willing to forgo their fun, creative seasonal ideas for better service at other places in town. Peixoto used to be my favorite coffee shop and its been steadily making its way towards the bottom of my list.
Limited bakery options, especially if you come late in the day. Service is very friendly, though cleaning tables seems to be an afterthought. The coffee is tasty and nicely presented. Trendy atmosphere - but the torn seats are showing their age, ample parking, and a great selection makes for a good choice for your coffee fix.
I really wanted to love this place. The inside is beautiful and their staff was so nice. The drinks however, just disappointing. Maybe we caught them on a bad day but these drinks were not it. Mind you these two small drinks cost almost $20.
Absolutely amazing coffee! I I ordered a seasonal flavored cherry coffee along with an almond croissant. It was absolutely divine and quite large! Please put the cherry latte on the regular menu, it's divine! Lots of natural light and beautiful plants. This would make a great place to get some work done. There's also an upstairs!
Solid choice if you're looking for coffee and a Peixoto is nearby! Love a local Valley spot and this one is a local fave for a reason. This was my first time trying their matcha, and I think it was okay- definitely on the milky side, and the matcha tastes a little gritty. I might stick to coffee for future visits, and they always have really cool seasonal flavors! This location is stunning, a great spot to get some work done and get some sunlight through the large windows that reach the 2nd floor loft area. Lots of parking, and the staff is always a pleasure.
Had a lovely latte at this Peixoto location. It has more space than the Chandler shop with an upstairs area and plenty of outdoor seating. I tried the seasonal pumpkin butter latte hot with macadamia nut milk. It was really rich and had a very nice balanced flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. The coffee here in general is some of the best in AZ. The little one had a kid's hot chocolate. This is her direct quote, "It is sooo good!" The cashier was very friendly and sweet. Peixoto is the place to go for delicious beverages and wonderful service.
Absolutely love this coffee. We first tried their coffee in DT Chandler and fell in love. We now buy the biggest bags from the Gilbert location. We are partial to the chocolate roast but are a fan of this Honey roast too. Love the Gilbert location (2 story and ample areas to work and study and great patio seating for socializing. Go try their fun coffee drinks, the one with lavender is amazing.
A cup of coffee that made me stop and think, "Whoa... this is what good coffee actually tastes like." Super cute spot with cozy seating nooks and an upstairs area that's perfect for working. The walk-up window is such a fun, unique touch. We ordered off the holiday menu and both drinks were so good. Even the baked goods looked unreal--you can tell everything is made with a lot of love. Definitely coming back.
We stumbled upon this gem after a rough night sleep in a hotel not too far from this location. With us being first timers, staff was very helpful in explaining the menu and were able to suggest the perfect item for us to enjoy. The coffee was delicious. We also tried some of their pastries that are rotated daily from local bakeries (which is such a great idea) they were delicious! We went back several mornings during our trip enjoyed multiple pastries and coffee. I recommend this place definitely and we will be back on our next trip to AZ.
If you're looking for your new favorite coffee spot, this one is an absolute must-try. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you want to stay awhile. The space is extremely comfortable -- cozy seating, welcoming energy, and an outdoor area that's truly remarkable. It's the kind of place where you can meet a friend, get some work done, or simply unwind with a great cup of coffee. Let's talk about the coffee -- because it's extremely well done. You can genuinely taste the flavor in every sip. I'm a nitro, cold brew girl -- always black -- and they nail it every time. Smooth, bold, and perfectly balanced. That said, I'm a total sucker for their seasonal selections. Somehow, they always make it hard not to switch things up. The seasonal flavors are thoughtfully crafted and never overpowering -- just the right touch to make your drink feel special. The pastries? Incredible. Fresh, delicious, and the perfect pairing to any drink. Whether you're stopping in for a quick bite or a full coffee moment, you won't be disappointed. Another major plus: the prices are reasonable, and the line moves fast. Even when it's busy, the service is efficient without ever feeling rushed. The customer service is genuinely great -- everyone is extremely nice, welcoming, and happy to help. It's such a refreshing change to experience a place where the vibe is consistently excellent. They also offer their merch, coffee to go, and other home items, which makes it easy to take a little piece of the experience with you. Overall, this coffee shop delivers on every level -- flavor, atmosphere, service, and value. It's cozy, inviting, and full of good energy. Definitely a must-try spot that you'll find yourself coming back to again and again.
One of our favorite coffee shops in Arizona! The baristas are some of the best at their job, the drinks are creative, the ambiance is perfect!

Service was amazing took their time to give recommendations and how they could change it up to your liking. Very cute and relaxing spot the inside tables do have a sign stating reserved for their top customers. Also have sitting area on second floor and outside. Got their seasonal son of a nutcracker. It is really good. read more

Cute coffee shop with ample seating. You wait in line to place your order and then wait for your name to be called to pick it up. It's open seating so hopefully you have steady hands. The coffee was nice. My companion had the seasonal spiced peach latte. She said it didn't really taste like peach, but that it just tasted sweet. I was hoping to get a flavored latte, but they have very limited options. I think it was chocolate and vanilla and maybe one other. I ordered the vanilla latte and it was nice, but I was hoping they had some other syrups like lavender or coconut. They seem to be big on the seasonal menus, so if you don't like what's on there, you aren't getting a different flavor. Also, her latte had a design. I felt second rate because I didn't get a cute design on mine. Oh well. Two suggestions: offer more variety in syrups/flavors year round and expand the "food" selection to include savory items. read more

Peixoto is one of those coffee shops that makes you instantly feel cooler just by walking in. The space is cozy and stylish, but fair warning--it's not huge, so when the caffeine crowd rolls in, it can get real cozy, real fast. The service was spot-on. Our barista not only helped us navigate the menu like a pro but also somehow knew exactly what would hit the spot (it's giving coffee psychic). I went with the matcha latte--smooth, perfectly balanced, and the kind of drink you sip slowly so it lasts longer. Paired it with a macaron that was so delicate and perfect it made me rethink all my past dessert choices. Bottom line: Come for the matcha, stay for the vibes, and don't skip the pastry case. Just be prepared to share elbow space with other caffeine-loving humans during rush hour. read more

Not so friendly service here. The barista blankly stared at my fiancé and didn't offer so much as a "Hello" when he went to place his order. OKAY lol. This is your "Come to telework and actually telework" coffee shop, not "Come and catch up with friends" coffee shop. Quiet, ambient, no music playing. No dogs (except for service dogs) allowed. There were a few tables outside and at 2PM on a Sunday, it was in the shade. One of the summer specials, the strawberry pistachio (you can order it as a latte, cold brew, matcha, etc.) was very aesthetic- pink strawberry on the bottom, latte in the middle, topped with cold foam. A little difficult to mix without a straw (which I'm not sure if they have- I grabbed one from my car). Really solid latte though. Fiancé's cold brew was very acidic and bitter- not his favorite. Fall specials will be served soon, per their social media (not sure when specifically). read more

I've been on a matcha oatmilk latte kick lately, so I decided to stop by this coffee shop since I hadn't been in a while. The latte was really good, and I enjoyed it on my day off after a dentist appointment and lunch. It was a nice little treat, though a bit pricey. However, for an occasional indulgence, it's definitely worth it! read more

A friend and I were looking for a coffee shop where we can get comfortable and get some work done. She found this one on TikTok, and we came to check it out. We came on Thursday around 10 AM, and it was busy! Luckily we found a table to sit at. I got an iced matcha latte, it was a great drink to sip on during my stay there. The workers were very friendly and welcoming; they had great customer service. As for the ambiance of the place, we loved it. We found a table upstairs on the second floor. There are outlets available along the wall at the booths so you can charge your electronics. The place stayed fairly packed the entire time, which just shows that this coffee shop is the place to be. Definitely won't be my last time visiting here! read more

I had a great first experience this morning at Peixoto Coffee. The guy who took my order was polite, I had a couple questions around which of their roasts were used for different items and he made it easy to choose. I settled on a latte with half and half (do it right or not at all) and a chocolate croissant. The latte was rich and smooth, no need to mask anything with sugar. The croissant was good! The cafe was clean with plenty of seating. The open area was also very nice, but it did get a bit loud at times (not a complaint, just an observation). It was busy the whole time I was there, but plenty of seating. Lots of in and out traffic. Lots of others like this shop, too! read more

Ambiance was good, busy for early Saturday morning. The barista wasn't too helpful or friendly, my husband and I weren't sure of what to order so we felt a tad rushed and chose what we knew from other chain coffee shops. My americano tasted sour and the dark chocolate flavoring didn't make it any better. The pastries however, made up for the coffee, delicious taste in every bite, made fresh daily! read more

This coffee spot looks like an office building or gym from the outside lol but it's super cute once inside. I loved that it has a second floor and decorations like plants and hats. It definitely added to the vibes in the shop. We were only able to try coffees as the pastries were all sold out when we arrived. My latte was pretty good and I liked their ideas to use glass cups for orders "in". The worker was straight to the point. He answered questions and took our order quickly. The barista had our drinks out in less than 5 min. It's definitely a cute spot to do homework or to hang out and enjoy your coffee. read more

Stopped by to meet with a friend and it was our first time coming to this location. Love the space! So open and airy with an upstairs seating area as well. We observed man people were using it as a coworking space and I totally get why! I was a little bummed none of their current drink offerings include the cold foam topping as I was really looking forward to trying one of their aesthetic berry drinks featured on yelp reviews. Apparently their spring menu drops tomorrow but this location is a bit out of my way for me to make the trip back out to try any of them. I opted for a basic cappuccino and at least they did a beautiful job on it! read more
This place is located on the West side of Higley, North of Ray Rd, South of Dutch Bros and Twisted Sugar. Fairly small menu with some interesting seasonals (see photo) if you like flavored drinks. Good service and comfortable seating area. read more

I had been to the Chandler location a few times, but I wanted to check out the Gilbert location. I went here on a weekend morning and the parking lot was already pretty full. There's a lot of other great businesses in the same Agritopia plaza, so I think that area is usually fairly busy. As soon as I walked in, I noticed this location was much more spacious and had an upstairs level with additional seating. To my surprise, considering how early it was, most seats were already taken on the lower level. I ordered the hot honey latte off their winter seasonal menu and found a seat upstairs, where it was a little more quiet and relaxed. The hot honey latte has a little kick with the addition of cayenne pepper, which was a nice touch. It is a bit on the sweeter end, so if you're more of a fan of the bitter taste of coffee drinks, you may not like this as much. I would definitely come back and it's a great place to relax and chat with friends! read more

Love the Chandler location so had to stop in when I visited Agritopia. Just a walk away! They have some of the best specials in the valley, their Pistachio Strawberry Matcha iced was smooth and very delicious. Excellent. Don't forget to stir everything. It's layered for looks, but when mixed it's phenomenal. read more

Good little spot to kick back, sip some coffee, and just relax. I got a cappuccino this time, and it was rich, smooth, and really well done. Next time I'm definitely trying one of their iced drinks..because who says you can't have coffee two ways in one week? Cozy vibes, friendly staff, and great coffee. I'll definitely be back. read more

This was a very interesting drink. I enjoyed the matcha and the hints of coconut very much. It's a great spot and the cashier was very friendly. I would like a more stronger matcha taste but that's okay. The space is very cozy and I see a lot of customers here. read more

I ask lots of questions, and the staff is always very knowledgeable about their coffee/tea/milks/sweeteners. The nut milks are limited to macadamia and oat milk. While they do have coconut milk, it's part of their seasonal offering for a Toasted Coconut drinks and the coconut milk is pre-mixed with simple syrup sweetener. All times of the day there seems to be a full crowd at all of the tables downstairs and upstairs. But the line is never really long and moves quickly. There are a handful of small bistro tables outside. Misters would be a nice addition to the outside seating. There is an adorable dog run as well potty bag/trash station. read more

My daughter ordered me a iced chia latte and I think it was the worst I've ever had tasted like ice that was now water with cinnamon sprinkled in . I tried to call the location to help with the bad order but the don't answer phone calls or return phone messages left ( it's been 2 days) . So if you come here don't order the chia latte and check your drinks before leaving. read more

Does this look like $17 worth of drinks?! We got a small matcha and a small mocha. Not even very good. Mostly ice in the tiny cup as well. Total rip off. read more

The chandler location is very nice and convenient when I lived nearby, but I heard Peixoto (pay sho tow) was coming but this Gilbert and was really excited about it!! Located in Epicenter and lots of parking available. This location is very new and clean. The decor inside is very nice and there are two stories. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. The upstairs seating area is smaller but there are comfortable chairs and tables available for people to enjoy their drinks. I when tried their seasonal menu and there are many good things on there. So far my favorite drinks there are the London Fog and the pour overs options. They are usually busy when I stop by. The staff is super friendly and helps with recommendation if you need any. I would highly recommend this place! read more

Dedicating my International Women's Day review to amazing women-owned, Peixoto Coffee! I love the Chandler location, and was super excited to see them open a location near me! This Gilbert location is situated in The Epicenter. There's plenty of parking shared by all the businesses. The Chandler space is great, but this one is even better. It has two stories, which is very cool. Lots of seating indoor and some outdoor as well. I've been here a handful of times now and it's always busy, no matter what time of the day... which can only mean that they're doing something right! The service is excellent and the coffee is solid. I have yet to order anything other than an oat milk latte with honey and cinnamon. I like what I like, and they do a great job with it! :) I've also tried their special birthday cruffin (croissant muffin) during Peixoto's birthday week. It was incredible and I hope they bring it back soon! read more

In town chilling at the new location of an old standby of mine. Family heritage of this farm-to-cup coffeehouse is a rarity. Good coffee and non-corporate pedigree make this an outstanding business in the Valley. Worthy of your support! read more
Having visited the original DT Chandler location for years, I was very excited for Peixoto's 2nd location in Gilbert! Bigger space with upstairs seating. Outlets along the wall encourage you to stay and work! Their seasonal drinks are what bring a lot of people (including me) in! Always very thoughtful flavor combinations and many are visually pleasing as well! (Favorites include: Coconut Latte (espresso OR matcha, they're both delicious), Peach cold brew, Egg Nog Latte, Irish Cream cold brew, Moroccan Latte w/orange blossom! The baristas are always friendly and very helpful if you have questions about the menu, especially the seasonal drinks and their pastry offerings. Love that they collaborate with many local bakers to showcase the AZ culinary talent that continues to grow and impress! (On rotation in 2023: La Belle Vie, Mark Chaconne, JL Patisserie, A Little Taste of Sweden, Love of Macs, Picket Fence Pastries, there are more, but I can't remember them all!) read more
