HeChaLou (鹤茶楼) is a popular tea brand, translating to "Crane Tea House" or "Crane Tea Building," representing a blend of elegance, wisdom (crane), and traditional, communal teahouses. It specializes in high-quality tea, featuring signature tea jelly and aimed at bringing people together. I've been here a handful of times now and I think I can confidently say that this place is 5 out of 5 stars. From what I saw, you can upgrade drink sizes on most, if not all, for $0.55 and it's well worth the size upgrade once you find your drink of choice. As a fan of black sesame, my drink here will forever be the Coconut Sesame Slushy with Sesame Jelly. It's sooo good! Pass on the milk teas, they're more milk than tea but I the Daydream Black Tea Latte will get the job done when you want a tea drink. It's a cute spot. They're located at the ground floor of an apartment complex. It's a spacious location so come with friends and families. Want to be antisocial? Bring your laptop. I believe they have free wifi.

Not my favorite matcha tea joint! Tea is strong, but just not my cup of tea! We ordered at the kiosk, so didn't have much human interaction. Drinks came out pretty quickly. They make their tea on the less sweet side, so if you prefer sweet, then don't ask for 25-50% sweet. Park in the garage, walk up a few steps, and go through the double doors and you're there! I'll have to come back and try the matcha latte again with more sugar added to see how I like it!

I kept seeing Hechalou mentioned, but for some reason never got around to trying it. Well, recently I finally went to check it out and I was very pleasantly surprised! There are so many milk tea shops now and I feel like many of them are subpar, so that has deterred me from milk teas in general. Following the guidance of other reviewers, I entered The Access apartments parking garage and followed the signs for Hechalou parking, then up the stairs and continued following the signs. Ordering at the kiosk is straightforward. The times I went, it wasn't very busy, either no one else ordering or just 1 party before me, so I was able to take my time in scrolling through the options. When it does get busy though, I can see how the ordering process may be slow especially if people don't know exactly what they want. I love how customizable the drinks are. You can choose a tea base and add toppings. My favorite bases are the house milk tea and the osmanthus oolong milk tea. My favorite toppings are the buckwheat jelly and the thai tea jelly. One of the times I went, the worker mentioned the boba was fresh and even offered me samples for both the honey boba and brown sugar boba. Both were really good! There's a good amount of seating to enjoy your drinks/snacks. I'm glad I finally tried this place as it's now one of my favorite spots!

I love Hechalou! Whenever I'm craving a strong milk tea, I know exactly where to go. This time, we got the house blend with yin yang jelly, and it was so good. I really appreciate how the drinks are always perfectly cold and the jellies have such a great texture. I also love that they offer options like almond jelly and black sesame jelly combo (yin yang), it makes the drinks even more fun and customizable. I noticed they recently added some new matcha drinks to the menu, so I'll definitely be coming back to try those. I also appreciate that they posted clear parking instructions, my first visit was a bit confusing, but you can park anywhere in the garage, which is super convenient. There are usually a lot of orders, so it can take a little time, but it's absolutely worth the wait. I also love the herbal tea aroma and the decor inside.

The drinks were fresh, flavorful, and made with high quality ingredients, and the tea had the perfect balance of sweetness. The jelly and toppings had a great texture and tasted homemade instead of overly artificial. Service was fast, friendly, and welcoming, and the staff made the whole experience enjoyable. The shop itself was clean, relaxing, and had a nice atmosphere to hang out in. Definitely one of the better tea spots around, and I'll for sure be coming back to try more flavors.

I ordered an oolong tea with sea salt foam. This is usually my go to, but I would not recommend it here. There is way too much sea salt foam in the drink and at some point all you're drinking is heavy cream. That being said I don't want to discount the entire store based on one drink. I think the place has potential and I maybe ordered the wrong thing. I would come back again but I'd try something without the foam. Also, as a general warning this place doesn't have easy parking. There is no street parking, and I think you need to park in a parking garage around the area. I ended up just parking in an apartment next door, so I'm not sure where the official parking is, but something to keep an eye out for if you decide to come here.

Stopped by again and got the house blend pearl milk tea, and it was amazing yet again. The tea flavor was amazing but well-balanced with the 100% sweetness level. This time, I parked in the parking garage and followed the signs and entered through the back side of the store! There was ample free parking that didn't have a time limit or needed validation!!!!

OMG their tea quality!! It's absolutely superb compared to other boba places, if you're a tea lover, you'll be amazed at how good their tea is. Got to try original milk tea with boba and fruity-ish boba, and they were sooo good. Also boba is chewy and yummy. Their boba is definitely more at the tea side as in not super milky/creamy but it was so good. Though, their service is ok- I went there twice and both times people seemed a bit mad, but well their tea is yummy!

Was in the area and happy to find this Taiwanese tea place. I was excited to try it and wasn't disappointed. Parking was a bit confusing at first, but there are signs that guide you. Parking is in the back with a customer parking structure. The place is cute and clean, and you can smell the tea leaves when you walk in. Ordering seems to be self-serve (or they were just busy), but my drink came out surprisingly fast even after I asked for less topping. The drink was good--the tea tasted high quality and flavorful. I'll definitely be back to try other drinks.

2nd visit! Yes, the parking is a bit convoluted, but many reviews here give very clear instructions, and once you've been here once, it's fairly easy to find again! Maybe I just like oolong tea a lot, but I really like their osmanthus oolong (brewed tea AND milk tea). Today, I ordered the osmanthus oolong tea with brown sugar pearl (50% sweet, 30% ice). It's a really refreshing brewed tea treat! Pearls are perfectly chewy. Friend ordered osmanthus oolong milk tea with sesame jelly (50% sweet, 30% ice). The roasted oolong tea pairs really well with the toasted sesame flavors of the jelly! We shared some matcha egg puffs and the matcha flavor really comes through in the pancake-like treat! Service was quite fast and the space is bright and airy. Good place to catch up with a friend or a group! 10/10 experience all around!

You're not lost, keep going! If you park behind the shop in the parking for the nearby apartments just ensure you're in a spot you won't get towed. This place is super easy to find if you're on foot, walking on Apache. However if you drive just read what people have said. Follow the signs. Good boba place, nice flavors. The matcha puff item was okay. I loved how good it smelled inside. It's very cute and they offer many different flavor options and boba. I'm giving 4 stars because when I ordered from the kiosk i realized later that they added 18% gratuity. I'm happy to tip, when I choose to and the amount I choose. I don't like when they auto add it hoping customers won't notice. It was on the top of the screen and I missed it because it was new ordering interface for me and I was distracted talking to my friend. You can also order with a staff person at the counter that says "order here". Maybe that interface is more clear they are including a tip unless you say otherwise. I used the kiosk because it had pictures so I could figure out what I wanted.

12.7.25 - saw this place on IG and wanted to try it. Finding the parking garage was a bit difficult. There was a moving truck kinda blocking the view of the garage entrance so I missed it at first and circled around in the complex. After entering the garage, you follow the signs on the wall around to the back entrance of the building. There were plenty of spaces at the time I went. Then, just continue following the signs into the place. It wasn't too busy at the time so I got my order in pretty quickly. I ordered the large House Blend Milk Tea w/ Thai Tea Jelly, Matcha Puffs and Signature Black Tea Puffs. The milk tea was good. I really liked the thai tea jelly! The egg puffs were cute! They're in the shape of a phoenix bird? I think. For $5, it comes with 3 per order. The place is a bit out of the way for me to drive here just for milk tea but if I'm in the area again, I'll stop by and try something else on the menu

The house blend milk tea states it is strong but weirdly I didn't think it was strong. I was hoping for a nice strong milk tea like a Hong Kong milk tea but I didn't get that. I do like the sesame jelly! It's super tasty. The matcha was also not bad here! I believe the lychees drink was sweet even at 70% , recommend maybe going 50% for that. Coming here for the first time is a bit confusing but just following all the way through the garage and park at the end.

I had their regular cold brew with a splash of cream and a Sunrise Sandwich- both were so good! The cold brew had a lovely aftertaste that in my opinion, reminded me of dark chocolate and whiskey. Service was also fantastic- the lovely barista was thorough in her explanations of each cold coffee option to help me find what I was looking for! My sandwich was also lovely- the Sunrise Sandwich on an Everything Bagel is easily my favorite breakfast sandwich in Tempe. The Basil Pesto adds a bit of freshness to an otherwise very rich sandwich. Also stopped in a few more times on my evening walks for a Lavender Haze (seasonal earl grey sage honey drink: EXCELLENT!) and their seasonal energy drink- it was a Sunset Spritz (energy with grapefruit pink cordial): both delicious. Happy to say service has improved greatly. Employees are on task and happy to answer my questions. The drinks on the seasonal menu are very good, and their classics are also great. If you're going to go soon, I'm a big fan of the Sage honey and a big fan of the cordial syrup on the 2026 Spring Menu. Will definitely be hitting Infusion up for some future study sessions. Glad to see Infusion takes customer feedback seriously.
