Finally had the chance to stop into Matcha Magic, and it was WORTH THE WAIT! First off, I was greeted by the cashier + barista, who was incredibly kind, patient and grateful for my service. She was so warm, and it honestly left me wanting to come back! The cafe itself is SO CUTE! The theme of pinks and greens were so spot on, and they thought of every last detail (I mean look at the cups!). The only down side is the seating capacity/area. I love cafe culture, and cafes that can accommodate WFH people like me is very important, so the amount of time/money I would realistically spend here is small. I preface all that to say that the matcha was DELICIOUS! The sub classic for vanilla was the right move - giving the matcha its moment to SHINE, while giving it some extra flavor. The matcha had a very yummy umami flavor - which is my personal preference in a matcha. I was also pleased to hear that all of their lates are automatically made with oat milk - so big win here! The matcha was good, but my experience was overshadowed by something that felt very unprofessional. While I was there, the manager was loudly writing up an employee in the open where customers and other employees were eating. The conversation was loud enough that everyone nearby could hear it, which made the whole atmosphere uncomfortable. No employee should have to be disciplined in front of customers or have a private conversation broadcast to the entire room. Regardless of what the employee may have done, those conversations should be handled respectfully and behind closed doors. It was awkward as a customer and unfair to the employee. I hope management takes a more professional approach in the future. read more

I kept seeing this place all over TikTok and was finally able to give it a try. When we arrived, we were immediately greeted by the staff. The inside is very cute and girly, lots of pink and green decor. We ordered the double matcha and the banana cream matcha. I've had lots of matcha from dozens of different places, so my expectations are pretty high. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of my drink. My banana cream matcha was very strong in banana flavor and I wasn't able to taste matcha at all. It tasted more like a banana smoothie. I don't regret trying this place out, but definitely doesn't taste like authentic, Japanese matcha in my opinion. read more

Honestly - super solid! I've been to locations in Washington and I actually think this location is better! Matcha is rich, color is great, not too sweet, and oat milk is priced in! Matcha foam is doubly rich - almost too much, to be frank, but still very much enjoyed and better than most in the valley. Docking a star because I ordered the banana matcha and got the other one I didnt want. Simple mix up that you'd hope they make sure not to confuse since they put 2 very similarly named items on the menu. Still - decent flavor in itself but didn't gel well with the matcha IMO, kind of like drinking 2 separate drinks on top of each other, but that's just me and one of one experience. 100% My new favourite matcha spot in AZ! The quality of drinks are unmatched. My order is the Lavender Ube matcha, it has amazing creaminess and flavour. They have a large menu with lots of fun or basic matcha options. The customer service is very friendly and efficient. They have a decent sized seating area, which is decorated wonderfully. I decided to switch it up and ordered the strawberry matcha latte & chia seed pudding with cocoa nibs. My sister got the matcha colada. We both loved our drinks! Her's was a little sweet for me but mine was perfectly sweetened after asking for the flavor to be slightly less! The staff were so friendly and accommodating!! I was so excited to hear a fun, new matcha cafe had opened in Tempe and specifically made it a point to stop there when I had a meeting in the area. When I arrived, it was busy and lively. I was greeted warmly upon arrival and immediately noticed and appreciated how cute and CLEAN it was inside. The menu is extensive and I was having trouble deciding so the barista (?!) recommended the Matcha Horchata and she nailed it, it was SO delicious! They take pride in the very meticulous way they make their matchas, which I appreciated, and the matcha they use is had a deep, earthy taste and color that speaks to its high quality, unlike several other places I've tried. There were other yummy food and drink options on the menu that I wanted to try but I didn't have time, so I will def be going back and bringing my daughter next time! The staff was all very friendly and the pedestrian traffic was consistent while I was there - one girl behind me mentioned she'd heard about Matcha Magic on TikTok and was so excited to try it. It appears they're doing everything right at this hip, new little place downtown and I hope, with school now back in session, that their fans and following continue to grow. I was around the area and found this matcha spot super cute inside , the place is a bit small and it is clean. I ordered a horchata matcha and a double matcha . The horchata tastes amazing great flavor but it does over power the matcha , the matcha here has a very light flavor . Even I also got a double matcha it's just very plain and not the best quality I've tried . Very cute and aesthetic place but the matcha itself isn't very rich in flavor , not earthy or creamy .
