Finally had the chance to stop into Matcha Magic, and it was WORTH THE WAIT! First off, I was greeted by the cashier + barista, who was incredibly kind, patient and grateful for my service. She was so warm, and it honestly left me wanting to come back! The cafe itself is SO CUTE! The theme of pinks and greens were so spot on, and they thought of every last detail (I mean look at the cups!). The only down side is the seating capacity/area. I love cafe culture, and cafes that can accommodate WFH people like me is very important, so the amount of time/money I would realistically spend here is small. I preface all that to say that the matcha was DELICIOUS! The sub classic for vanilla was the right move - giving the matcha its moment to SHINE, while giving it some extra flavor. The matcha had a very yummy umami flavor - which is my personal preference in a matcha. I was also pleased to hear that all of their lates are automatically made with oat milk - so big win here! The matcha was good, but my experience was overshadowed by something that felt very unprofessional. While I was there, the manager was loudly writing up an employee in the open where customers and other employees were eating. The conversation was loud enough that everyone nearby could hear it, which made the whole atmosphere uncomfortable. No employee should have to be disciplined in front of customers or have a private conversation broadcast to the entire room. Regardless of what the employee may have done, those conversations should be handled respectfully and behind closed doors. It was awkward as a customer and unfair to the employee. I hope management takes a more professional approach in the future. read more

I kept seeing this place all over TikTok and was finally able to give it a try. When we arrived, we were immediately greeted by the staff. The inside is very cute and girly, lots of pink and green decor. We ordered the double matcha and the banana cream matcha. I've had lots of matcha from dozens of different places, so my expectations are pretty high. Unfortunately, I was not a fan of my drink. My banana cream matcha was very strong in banana flavor and I wasn't able to taste matcha at all. It tasted more like a banana smoothie. I don't regret trying this place out, but definitely doesn't taste like authentic, Japanese matcha in my opinion. read more

I did a coffee crawl for my birthday but also wanted to try to matcha drinks. I was drawn to this place by the color of the matcha in their pictures! The inside is SO CUTE. The staff were so sweet. They have a great selection of drink options. They have food as well. My friends got avocado toast. They both liked it. I got the purple rain matcha which is lavender and ube. They really balanced each other out! My friend got the blueberry matcha, which she loved. My other friend got a Sun Devil matcha, which was mango and something else. It was tasty! Honestly - super solid! I've been to locations in Washington and I actually think this location is better! Matcha is rich, color is great, not too sweet, and oat milk is priced in! Matcha foam is doubly rich - almost too much, to be frank, but still very much enjoyed and better than most in the valley. Docking a star because I ordered the banana matcha and got the other one I didnt want. Simple mix up that you'd hope they make sure not to confuse since they put 2 very similarly named items on the menu. Still - decent flavor in itself but didn't gel well with the matcha IMO, kind of like drinking 2 separate drinks on top of each other, but that's just me and one of one experience. A little pricy and a bit of a wait but whisked fresh to order which is the only way to do it - don't try to convince me otherwise! read more

I was so excited to try Matcha Magic's new location in AZ and was not disappointed!! I'm a longtime fan of the WA locations, my usual is the horchata. I decided to switch it up and ordered the strawberry matcha latte & chia seed pudding with cocoa nibs. My sister got the matcha colada. We both loved our drinks! Her's was a little sweet for me but mine was perfectly sweetened after asking for the flavor to be slightly less! The staff were so friendly and accommodating!! I was around the area and found this matcha spot super cute inside , the place is a bit small and it is clean. I ordered a horchata matcha and a double matcha . The horchata tastes amazing great flavor but it does over power the matcha , the matcha here has a very light flavor . Even I also got a double matcha it's just very plain and not the best quality I've tried . Very cute and aesthetic place but the matcha itself isn't very rich in flavor , not earthy or creamy .
