BIG fan of aruma :) wonderful fun and light drinks, both coffee and matcha! The interior is great for spending time studying and never gets too busy where it's overwhelming.
Located in the Cul de Sac in Tempe. Aesthetically, very cute. Coffee house/bar. Selected cocktails and curated sweet drinks. Sat at the bar, didn't get service. So I think you have to approach the cashier to put in your order. May have been the barista's/bartenders first day? Didn't know if they carried rose when asked. Settled on the espresso martinis for me and 2 other friends. To which we exclaimed omg and almost made up for the lack luster service. They offer baked goods. And had a very chill vibe. I will come back:)
Aruma Cafe is located in the Cul-De-Sac Tempe apartments area, which I've been hearing really great things about. It was nice to walk through this area, it was very quiet on Monday morning when I came by. The cafe has lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Inside has lots of pink decor and greenery, shelves with fun Knick knacks, I absolutely loved it! They offer coffee and alcoholic drinks. I decided to try one of their specialty coffee drinks: the Mazapan. It was delicious!!! I would definitely recommend it! The person working was friendly and helpful with answering all my questions about the drinks. You should definitely check this place out!
Lovely cafe! I was able to snag a street parking spot when I went Monday morning. There's a lot of seating inside and some outside as well. I ordered a strawberry matcha and it was the perfect sweetness. It's very cute inside with pink chairs, plants, and flower paintings. Service was fairly quick.
Such a cute place to get coffee, read a book/get work done/ just hang out. My fave combo (honey oatmilk latte) was made to perfection! I wanted a large, the barista made sure I knew their large had 4 shots of espresso which would have been way too much for me. So she offered to modify it based on my preference. I love how she was so patient with me with my complicated order! Definitely want to go back!
What a great cafe!! Absolutely lovely inside. Calming and relaxing and a lot of nice seating. My friend and I came here for coffee. She had a Matcha latte and I had a chai. We really enjoyed it. It is very cute. I would definitely go back. Excellent customer service!
One of my favorite coffee shops to get a strawberry matcha! They have arguably the best strawberry matcha I have ever tried! The staff is great and the ambiance inside of the cafe is also awesome!
The cutest cafe located at Culdesac Tempe! The perfect spot to grab a coffee or drink. Plenty of seating inside at tables or the bar. And appreciate that they use a high quality espresso!
This was such a cute cafe in the Tempe area! I worship nearby and wanted to grab a coffee before I went home for the morning. Interestingly, I ran into an old friend which added to how great my experience was (lol!) The service was friendly, but rushed. I knew what I wanted already, which was their Garden Latte. What I was NOT expecting was how expensive their specialty menu would be. $9 for a drink, WOOF! But anything to support our local economy! The interior was DARLING - the pink was so cute! My friend and I sat a the tables with the bar chairs. I swear I'm tall, but I could barely get my bottom the seat! As for my drink, it was nice! I loved how thick the cold foam was on top, and the actual coffee was good. I think next time I will try a cold brew to get a better feel of their caffeine. I didn't have trouble finding parking as it was bright and early on a Sunday morning - street parking for the win! I'd love to come back for a coffee date with my hubby :)
Had a nice experience at this location. The coffee was good. I ordered a caramel latte and didn't specify that I wanted it hot. I guess I should have but it would have been nice if they'd asked because I ended up with a cold coffee instead of hot. Not the end of the world. The coffee was good and the service was friendly. The restaurant itself is large with plenty of seating. It was clean and well maintained. Lots of positives here!
Aruma Coffee in Tempe is everything you want in a local café. Mexican-owned and operated, beautifully designed, and full of flavor and intention in every cup. The space is super aesthetic, minimalist but warm, with lots of natural light and thoughtful decor that makes you want to hang out, take photos, and stay awhile. It's the kind of spot that feels both elevated and down-to-earth. They feature specialty drink menus that rotate every few months, so there's always something new and creative to try. I went with the cajeta latte and it was to die for, smooth, rich, and just the right amount of sweetness. You could taste the authentic caramel flavor from the cajeta, and it paired perfectly with the espresso. You can tell the team behind Aruma really cares about quality, culture, and community, and it shines through in everything they serve. If you're in the Tempe area, Aruma Coffee is a must-visit. Come for the vibes, stay for the drinks, and support a business that's truly putting heart into every detail.
Checked out Aruma Cafe while walking through The Culdesac. The interior is super cute and modern. While the barista did get my name wrong, the drink was pretty good. I got the S'mores Latte, completed with a toasted marshmallow on top. Yum!!

Loved this cafe, its space, drinks, and staff were great! My girls and I are SCC students and it's hard to find places to post up and get homework done, we take up a lot of space (interior design girlies) and not once did the baristas get upset with us or ask us to move. This cafe is a safe place for women and girls - the energy is great and the men who come to that space are aware that they are in a women focused space, and seem to love it too! The culture/vibes of this cafe are on point. Me and my entire crew will be back - thanks for making us feel seen and safe read more
Aruma cafe was located at the cul-de-sac community with lots of cute walkable shops. The interior of this café was very welcoming with plenty of seating for studying or meeting a group. There is also a large outside area. In terms of food, they have a really yummy avocado toast and some other baked goods (bagels and cookies) but other than that, they are more of a drink focused café. The coffee was very tasty. It was a nice combination of espresso and creaminess, but not too sweet which was preferable! Would definitely recommend if you're in the Tempe area. I also recommend walking around the area and checking out some of the local businesses. read more
Had this coffee cafe bookmarked for a while... one of my girlfriends sent me a gift card for my birthday to give them a try! The cafe is located in Culdesac Tempe Apartments. It being my first time there, I had a little trouble finding it but love the concept of having all these little shops within walking distance or just downstairs from the apartment complex! I asked what their most popular drinks were at this time and was told the birthday cake latte & a coconut one. I went with the birthday cake with oat milk as it's something I would typically never order, it was good! The inside is super cute and very open, plenty of seating inside and outside available. I will come back to use the rest of my gift card but still undecided if I would come back to spend my own money after the gift card is used up. Regardless, I'm glad I gave it a try! read more

I was in need of coffee on Thanksgiving day and Aruma Cafe happened to be on my list to try and open that day! There is some street parking but also a lot as well with ample parking. The gals working that day were so cheerful and friendly! I couldn't decide and ordered The Golden Boy and Cajeta both iced with oat milk. I really loved both drinks. The espresso was not burnt, drinks were not watered down and so much flavor to both! The decor was so cute and inviting as well. I would definitely stop in again when I'm in the area! read more
This place was honestly one of my favorite coffee shops I've been to in a while. - Super cute decor - Plenty of room to hang out (we need more hang out spaces in coffee shops) - AMAZING coffee and drinks - Quirky drink names - Friendly staff Must try the pistachio cloud drink.... Oh man this one is so good I've been dreaming about it The coco puffs one is also so good, but on the rich/sweet side I didn't try the food so can't speak to that Also if you have too much coffee cuz it's all so good and you can't resist, they have cans of CBD drinks :) which are also really good read more

Aruma is definitely becoming one of my favorite Tempe coffee meetup spots! From the friendly baristas to the aesthetic decor I always feel so welcome and comfortable in this space. Honestly such a cute cafe! It's very pink and girly which I love, and also conveniently located in the Culdesac in Tempe. This is a great place to stop by to grab a drink, or even get some work done. The staff here was great and explained a lot of the drinks on the menu. read more
I would love to come back here. I came on a Wednesday morning, easy to find parking on the side of the street, the plaza that this cafe is in is so cute and fresh. I ordered the cajeta, extremely good, it tasted like such a familiar Mexican flavor. I could really taste their coffee beans in it too, really good brand. The inside was very pretty too, a lot of tasteful pink but also unique looking inside. Seems like a great place to do some light work on your laptop in while enjoying a coffee. The cashier/barista was very nice and helpful too! read more
It's a cute coffee shop in Tempe and when I went there with my friend on a Sunday morning around 11am, it was packed. Ordered Matcha latte, and it was yummy and my friend had a breakfast bean burrito, it was simple yet good. It's a cute place to have some coffee and chat! read more

Place is amazing. Nice and small place to study and had one of the best matcha lattes ever (matcha latte with oat milk). Quality of all their drinks are really good and I highly recommend it. The staff are super nice as well read more
BUILDING: The coffee shop is located in a newly-designed space with charming pink decor and an abundance of plants. It's a convenient location, especially for ASU students, although parking is limited and only a few free street parking spot. However, the coffee shop is easily accessible from the nearby railroad stop. The two doors may be a bit inconspicuous, but I have included a picture to help with locating the establishment. It is situated across from the restaurant Cusina Chiwas. PRICE: The prices at this establishment are relatively higher, possibly due to its prime location. During my visit, I ordered a small Garden latte and a bacon/egg burrito for a total of $16. However, the menu listed the latte for $6, which makes me think the burrito was $8 may have been an additional charge for the burrito.I left a tip in cash. FLAVOR: The bacon/egg breakfast burrito was decent in size, but I felt it was not entirely worth $8. On the positive side, the accompanying red salsa was quite delightful. The chamomile rose latte was enjoyable, but I couldn't help but notice that the rose flavor was not very pronounced. I was hoping for a more prominent floral taste. SERVICE: I found the cashier with tattoos to be friendly and helpful. Additionally, there was another barista preparing drinks, while two others were seated at the end of the register. Unfortunately, there were no clean tables available upon our arrival. AMBIANCE: The coffee shop offers a good number of tables and bar chairs, as well as outdoor seating. Service dogs are welcome, and the atmosphere is relaxed with a steady flow of patrons coming and going. Inside the coffee shop, it tends to be generally quiet. read more

Aruma Cafe, located in the car-free community of Culdesac Tempe off Apache Boulevard, has recently opened its doors and is currently in its soft opening week. Situated directly nextdoor to Cocina Chiwas on Apache Blvd, this charming new coffee shop offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. The open space is adorned with soft pink tiles and chairs, complemented by long natural wood tables, creating a cozy yet modern ambiance. Aruma Cafe has an impressive menu featuring a variety of specialty coffee and espresso drinks, as well as an assortment of teas. Additionally, they offer refreshing aguas frescas and delicious horchata, providing a delightful selection for every palate. I tried the Cajeta Latte (a rich caramel) and it was delicious, on the sweeter side but very good. Whether you're a coffee aficionado or just looking for a relaxing spot to unwind, Aruma Cafe is the perfect new addition to the neighborhood- plus the entire community is cute. read more

Food: we ordered the strawberry coconut sweet bread and it was good, I don't think they make them in house as I saw them getting them out of boxes, hopefully a local bakery Service: barista was friendly Ambiance: super cute spot! Pink and neutral vibes with lots of seating Drinks: we ordered the cornflais and the cocohinito which were both good. The cornflais was supposed to be banana flavored but honestly I didn't taste any banana. The other one did taste like pilloncillo and is good if you don't want a super sweet drink Parking: no designated parking, had to parallel park for the shopping center read more
The cutest pink coffee shop in Tempe, with a whole menu of drinks inspired by Mexican flavors! I was super impressed by the flavorful drinks, friendly service, and pillowy soft concha during my first visit. I *highly* recommend the Cochinito drink, which perfectly blends sugary piloncillo with cinnamon spice without overpowering the strong espresso flavor. The Garden, which is a chamomile-based drink, is also nice, light, and not too sweet. Despite being pretty packed on a Saturday morning, service was friendly and we got our drinks not too long after ordering. The cafe does get a little loud for studying (and even talking) when it's busy -- not the best acoustics -- but I'd definitely come back to hang out or just to grab a quick coffee before taking a stroll around the adorable Culdesac community and its shops! A great coffee addition to the area that's definitely pretty high up my Tempe favorites now! read more
I tried the cherry lace, and it was absolutely delicious! The barista recommended it, and I was really glad I chose that one. The cheese danish was also tasty, and the service was good. Plus, the vibe and décor are incredibly cute and aesthetic. read more
Cute corner cafe. It's a wine bar and restaurant all in one. Located in a central residential district with other shops and eateries. We stopped by specifically for their matcha. We had high hopes after reading reviews. We liked it but it wasnt up to our standards. We love a super green earthy iced matcha latte. It had too much milk and not enough matcha to our liking. They only had oatmeal milk substitute and it overpowered the matcha. We should have asked for extra shots of matcha. Still was a refreshing cold drink for the moment but didn't leave us with an urge to want it again. However, would love to come back to mingle and try other drinks out another time bc the atmosphere was so chill. read more

This is one of the cutest coffee spots Ive been to, super close and convenient for ASU students. It's a good study space. Their strawberry matcha blew me away, holyyy so good, I recommend trying it! The cajeta is on the sweeter side and perfect for those that have a sweet tooth. The workers were very nice and were working very fast/efficient during the weekend rush. ig: @cravingswithcat read more

Love this coffee spot. It's located in the new Culdesac community, right on Apache. There is a parking lot or street parking. The aesthetic is everything. Lots of gorgeous plants, pink, perfection, unique, coffee choices. I got a breakfast burrito and the baristas offered a suggestion to mixed together 2 flavors for my cold brew. The menu changes but I loved my mystery drink. I sat and read a book. There is also outside seating. Just a great vibe overall to get work done, have a phone call, have coffee with friends and family. Can't wait to come back read more
