Staff was rude the last two times that I have been there. _------------------------------

Such a cute place to get coffee, read a book/get work done/ just hang out. My fave combo (honey oatmilk latte) was made to perfection! I wanted a large, the barista made sure I knew their large had 4 shots of espresso which would have been way too much for me. So she offered to modify it based on my preference. I love how she was so patient with me with my complicated order! Definitely want to go back!

Lovely cafe! I was able to snag a street parking spot when I went Monday morning. There's a lot of seating inside and some outside as well. I ordered a strawberry matcha and it was the perfect sweetness. It's very cute inside with pink chairs, plants, and flower paintings. Service was fairly quick.

What a great cafe!! Absolutely lovely inside. Calming and relaxing and a lot of nice seating. My friend and I came here for coffee. She had a Matcha latte and I had a chai. We really enjoyed it. It is very cute. I would definitely go back. Excellent customer service!

The cutest cafe located at Culdesac Tempe! The perfect spot to grab a coffee or drink. Plenty of seating inside at tables or the bar. And appreciate that they use a high quality espresso!

One of my favorite coffee shops to get a strawberry matcha! They have arguably the best strawberry matcha I have ever tried! The staff is great and the ambiance inside of the cafe is also awesome!

Aruma Cafe is located in the Cul-De-Sac Tempe apartments area, which I've been hearing really great things about. It was nice to walk through this area, it was very quiet on Monday morning when I came by. The cafe has lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Inside has lots of pink decor and greenery, shelves with fun Knick knacks, I absolutely loved it! They offer coffee and alcoholic drinks. I decided to try one of their specialty coffee drinks: the Mazapan. It was delicious!!! I would definitely recommend it! The person working was friendly and helpful with answering all my questions about the drinks. You should definitely check this place out!

Had a nice experience at this location. The coffee was good. I ordered a caramel latte and didn't specify that I wanted it hot. I guess I should have but it would have been nice if they'd asked because I ended up with a cold coffee instead of hot. Not the end of the world. The coffee was good and the service was friendly. The restaurant itself is large with plenty of seating. It was clean and well maintained. Lots of positives here!

This was such a cute cafe in the Tempe area! I worship nearby and wanted to grab a coffee before I went home for the morning. Interestingly, I ran into an old friend which added to how great my experience was (lol!) The service was friendly, but rushed. I knew what I wanted already, which was their Garden Latte. What I was NOT expecting was how expensive their specialty menu would be. $9 for a drink, WOOF! But anything to support our local economy! The interior was DARLING - the pink was so cute! My friend and I sat a the tables with the bar chairs. I swear I'm tall, but I could barely get my bottom the seat! As for my drink, it was nice! I loved how thick the cold foam was on top, and the actual coffee was good. I think next time I will try a cold brew to get a better feel of their caffeine. I didn't have trouble finding parking as it was bright and early on a Sunday morning - street parking for the win! I'd love to come back for a coffee date with my hubby :)

Checked out Aruma Cafe while walking through The Culdesac. The interior is super cute and modern. While the barista did get my name wrong, the drink was pretty good. I got the S'mores Latte, completed with a toasted marshmallow on top. Yum!!

Coffee was amazing!! Wish they had breakfast food when we came. Dreaming of the next time we visit AZ and can come here again.

I was in need of coffee on Thanksgiving day and Aruma Cafe happened to be on my list to try and open that day! There is some street parking but also a lot as well with ample parking. The gals working that day were so cheerful and friendly! I couldn't decide and ordered The Golden Boy and Cajeta both iced with oat milk. I really loved both drinks. The espresso was not burnt, drinks were not watered down and so much flavor to both! The decor was so cute and inviting as well. I would definitely stop in again when I'm in the area!

This place was honestly one of my favorite coffee shops I've been to in a while. - Super cute decor - Plenty of room to hang out (we need more hang out spaces in coffee shops) - AMAZING coffee and drinks - Quirky drink names - Friendly staff Must try the pistachio cloud drink.... Oh man this one is so good I've been dreaming about it The coco puffs one is also so good, but on the rich/sweet side I didn't try the food so can't speak to that Also if you have too much coffee cuz it's all so good and you can't resist, they have cans of CBD drinks :) which are also really good

It's the kind of restaurant that makes getting dressed up feel exciting and worth it, and I absolutely loved that about the experience. It felt like such a perfect date night spot or place to celebrate something special. The servers were also extremely attentive the entire night. Everyone was friendly, professional, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling overbearing. The service honestly matched the upscale atmosphere perfectly and made the whole experience feel even more polished. And OMG... the food. SO SO SO SO SO GOOD. Like genuinely one of those meals where every single bite makes you pause for a second because it tastes that incredible. I got the chicken orzo along with the lime icebox cake for dessert, and both were absolutely amazingggg. The chicken orzo was phenomenal. The lemon flavor throughout the orzo was bright, fresh, and flavorful without being overpowering, and the tomatoes were the PERFECT addition because they balanced everything so well and added a little sweetness and freshness to the dish. But the chicken... wow. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside while still being super juicy and tender inside, which is honestly hard to do. Every component of the dish worked together perfectly. Magnificent is genuinely the best word for it. And the lime icebox cake was the perfect ending to the meal, refreshing, creamy, flavorful, and not too heavy after dinner. Honestly, I'm sitting here craving the food again just looking back at the pictures I took. This is definitely one of those restaurants that sticks in your mind long after you leave.

The crab cake appetizer had a ton of flavor, the meatballs were good as was the whipped feta dip, though it was quite sweet. For the entree, my mom and I got the wild mushroom pasta with chicken. This is actually a food truck, which is parked on the side of the Tipsy Catcus, which is a really cool brewery I also checked out while I was waiting for my order. This is a really chill brewery, and not a huge spot. Maybe 8 to 10 high top tables with bar seating, and a mostly open floor plan. They have a small patio too, with what looks like about another tables but because I visited at night, nobody was outside. They also seem to be extremely dog friendly as they had one table with a really chill cocker spaniel completely laid out on his side in the middle of the floor. I'm not sure how many taps they had in total, but definitely more than 40 I would say. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I ordered a cider. The cider I was served was on tap and really tasty. And it definitely hit the spot of terms of price point. One thing to note, while I was talking to the owner/manager of the tipsy cactus (shout to him because he was really cool), he told me that Friday night and Saturday nights are usually popping so I wouldn't expect to be first in line on any of those nights. It also looks like they rotate food trucks on different nights, so don't assume that the cheesesteak truck is going to be here every night. I would check the tipsy cactus website, or Instagram page to be sure. I'll definitely be looking forward to checking this place out again in the future, especially if I'm hitting one of the food trucks parked outside.

Our group of 8 ended up here when another Tempe restaurant had a kitchen emergency and cancelled our reso an hour before dinner. Alter Ego was able to accommodate us, and we were glad they did. If you enter from the street side you'd never know you're in a hotel restaurant. It's got an upscale, classy vibe not usually seen in hotel dining. The waiter and bartender were attentive and knowledgeable. The menu wasn't huge but it was a great variety of options. Table had some salads, flatbreads, burgers and a round of butter cake desserts. Each was really, really good. Way more sophisticated plates than expected. Also had a bunch of craft cocktails, unique and well made. Sometimes the best experiences are unplanned. But you SHOULD plan to give this place a try.

I got the bang bang shrimp and it was good (6/10). The problem that I have is the pistachio gin fizz was an absolute no! I am a HUGE fan of pistachio and gin so immediately I had to get his drink but it was beyond mediocre. Are we drinking only syrup??? My last complaint is the coconut tres leches dessert.... Do we actually know how to make tres leches or we just naming desserts however we want? Just curious. It came out super hot, steaming more like a molten cake. As a Hispanic woman, I was expecting a creamy moist cake to celebrate my graduation but this was not it as well. Last but not least if the bald manager with the orange shirt wants to eat in the back of the kitchen, not the problem I get it (I work at restaurants) HOWEVER shoving your two index fingers into your mouth to get your debris out was my last straw. Like I said I like this restaurant and never had problems but today felt like a fever dream there.

The corn pizza from the featured menu was excellent, striking a really nice balance between sweet and spicy flavors. The verdura pizza, topped with pesto, pistachios, cauliflower, and beans, was more unique--interesting, though not quite as memorable as the corn pizza. Overall, the service, location, and food quality were all solid. The only downside was some confusion around happy hour pricing--we were told pizzas would be $16, but the featured pizza was charged at full price without that being clearly communicated. I did ask about it, but the request was politely declined. That aside, it was a very pleasant experience and definitely a place worth visiting.
