Sozo Coffeehouse is an amazing coffee shop. I went mid-day on a Saturday and it was a calm and relaxing atmosphere. There were a lot of groups of people talking, a bookclub, and a lot of people just drinking coffee and reading and it was still not overly loud. The shop also has band equipment and host different musicians throughout the week, I will definitely be coming back for that. The service was wonderful, friendly and quick. I ordered a large hot pistachio latte with oatmilk. The coffee was extremely well balanced and the pistachio flavor was noticeable and delicious. This was one of the best lattes that I have gotten in the valley and I highly recommend trying it. read more

I went for a weekday, post-dinner coffee meetup with friends, and the place definitely has a cozy vibe a great hangout spot. They're open until 10 PM, which is a big plus. The crowd was a mix of students, groups of friends, and a few serious laptop-working folks. It seems like they have live bands over the weekends, which sounds fun. The whole setup gave strong Friends series vibes comfy couches, tables, and that relaxed café energy. They offer a good variety of coffee and tea options. I tried their special vanilla matcha, and unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it at all. It was overly sweet, and the matcha flavor was barely noticeable. I've definitely had much better matchas elsewhere. Sozo Coffeehouse has been locking down the SW corner of Alma School and Warner for many years. While I don't drink coffee, my wife does and we stopped in for a drink and some live music Friday night. This coffeehouse is amazing- spacious, well-lit, lots of tables and chairs, fun decor, live music stage with great speakers and more. We were able to rearrange the chairs and get close to the stage for some live jazz! Nothing better than a hot drink in hand (mine was a chai tea with oat milk- delicious!) listening to great live music. They also have some shelves with board games and cards so you can play leisurely games. They have nice tables to be used as workstations for individuals or a larger party. The workers and servers were all very pleasant and the owner was there and got to mention what a great time I had. Do yourself a favor and check out Sozo! read more

I keep coming back to this cool spot for the past few years and every time I feel like home away from home! I like to come here and get my coffee and just relaxed. The atmosphere is kids friendly, there is some space for a group meeting for rent or first come first served. There is the activity room for young toddler to enjoy their fun time on Thursday and Friday in the morning. It's not too many coffee shops that have prepared a lot of space for working people and the space for the kids at the same time! Wow, what a cool place! I was looking for something different than the big chains and found SOZO near my house. I stopped in to see if they could make something I would like since I'm not super fond of the taste of coffee itself. Scott, the owner, was very cool and very friendly. He explained some things and made a suggestion that I went with. So once the choice was made, Davey jumped into action and made my drink and I have to say it was spot on! On weekend nights they offer live music, some poetry readings, and they offer their facility for group events. The place is pretty big with lots of comfortable seating and the atmosphere is awesome with some light music playing in the background. This is a one off spot that's local and has been around for 15 years and I recommend SoZo to EVERYONE looking for a spot to enjoy their morning coffee and a very friendly place to do that. If you're looking for a cold, personality lacking drive thru, forget it. The idea here is to stop in and relax while enjoying your beverage. What an artsy place! I came in, there was a live band playing, people vibing and just positivity filling up the place. If you look for coffee shops with an interact experience and place to chill and hangout with cool people, this is the place. The staff were super friendly and helpful, they really brought the mood to bring positivity to earth . I feel like the world was a little better after coming here. First time here! I'm not much of a coffee drinker but sometimes I get cravings. So it's nice when the barista is patient enough with me to figure out what I want. Super cute fun vibes! They have board games, a kid zone and a stage for live music. I'm sure they get busy as the day goes on. I really like it here. There's a variety of drinks and they have a large seating area with live music which is amazing! I ordered a chai and got the wrong flavors, but they offered to remake my drink which was super kind of the barista. I saw they were busy and the flavor was good anyway so I was fine with my wrong drink. I will say the chai was a powder so it wasn't my favorite, but it's very sweet if you love the sweet chai mixes out there. While placing our order, the barista showed great patience and shared helpful suggestions and recommendations. They have an amazing selection of teas and they are so delicious! The cookies were generously yummy also! :) I loved that they sent a coupon after my first visit. The staff is friendly and helpful! The 2nd time I went, I wasn't sure what I wanted so I took a chance on something I've never had. I ordered to Cochata (coffee and horchata). I wasn't crazy about it because I wasn't sure if it was iced coffee mixed with the horchata or regular coffee mixed with the horchata. (There is a noticeable difference between iced and hot coffee, to me. ) I absolutely love the size of the cafe, which allows you to have your space and privacy in convos or working on your laptop. I finally made it to this Chandler mainstay. In 2010, Scott and Lori Morgan opened up this coffee house inclusive of a playroom (on designated days) and stage for live music. Featuring local artistry on the walls, local artists on stage and giving to charity with each cup sold SoZo is visibly connected with the locals. The cozy, interior makes an ideal place for working or relaxing comfortably. I love having milk options and had to take a minute to decide which one out of the nine I would have in my pumpkin latte. It probably wouldn't have mattered which milk I chose for this beverage because it was delectable! So flavorsome, rich and creamy made with REAL pumpkin! My friend had it iced and I ordered mine hot. I heard they have vegan pastries & music on certain nights so I was definitely curious about this place. I had the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cinnamon sugar with vanilla & almond milk. It was pretty good. I'm not a coffee person but went for the open night poetry. Ugh t with my daughter who enjoyed her coffee. To my surprise, my doesn't want the spotlight daughter, added her name to the list! We arrived after it began so it was quite awhile before she was able to read, but when it was her turn she was cheered to the stage! The audience was great and chanted her name after she was done. Hadn't been to SoZo Coffee house in awhile and was meeting up for a date night and he suggested to stop for coffee and SoZo was the place suggest and off we went. It was a Thursday night and there was a nice size crowd. SoZo has a great vibe wither on a date night, hanging out with friends or just looking for quite time. Plenty of seats inside and sidewalk seats as well. SoZo offers Cartel Coffee and I knew I was already a fan of Cartel so after checking out the menu I went with one of the specialty drinks they were featuring for that week, it was chocolaty caramel good. Stumbled upon this place while killing time waiting for Asian market nearby to open. Way cool spot with killer vibes. Groovy and loud music playing in background. Plenty of couches, arm chairs and dining tables too. Looks like they have live music on Fri and Sat evenings. I decided to try something different. Yeah, 5-star coffee shop ... what does that even mean? So, the product is pretty good. But, it's more about the ambiance, energy, and community vibe to this place. Coffee drinks are personal preference and I don't care tremendously about them if they're above a certain level. I have been to Sozo plenty of times now to say that I am truly one a fan. I have recommended to visit and brought friends here myself.. and everything loves it! From the tea (which they steep right in front of you), the matcha (my favorite, and they offer sweetened or unsweetened), or the treats (you HAVE to try the croissants), I have never had a less than stellar experience. The mood of the cafe is so relaxing and perfect for work or studying. They offer live music on some evenings, which I have never taken advantage of, but would love to check it out. This is a okay place to sit if you have noise cancellation headphones the place is very nice it gives a homey vibe except when they have a band there the music is honestly to loud to even be good they could be playing the best song ever and it would be horrible cause of the volume also don't go at 2-4 pm Therese a lot of kids there from the school across the street which are very pound and weird (I can say that I went to the school a year ago). Came the other week for their Open Mic night, which I have attended many times before. I usually enjoy these, but this last visit was horrendous. We were watching a band of two young girls play- they were actually pretty good. But then a woman (who must be the owner) came out and publically berated and humiliated these young ladies. It was completely in appropriate and absolutely despicable. She should be ashamed of herself!!! This is an open mic, where all are welcome. I've seen some good, some ok, some great, and some not so great- but that's the fun of attending open mic events. After the actions by the owner I have decided never to return back. I will not be supporting this business. I would suggest others take this review seriously and join me in a boycott of this business. read more

This is going to be my new favorite coffee shop. I usually go to Mythical Coffee, but they close early at 6pm. This place has live music sometimes and poetry nights. Theres tons of tables, sofas, and chairs. It's a great place to study. I usually get chai or matcha and they have both and they're both really good. The workers are really nice too. One of my favorite Coffee shops in the East Valley. It's cute, has ample seating with couches, chairs, barstools and has some solid drinks/snacks. There is a stage with live music, poetry, and other acts that come through on a weekly basis. Goal of mine is to see one of these acts, but usually I'm there pretty early to grab some coffee, study, or read only. Neighborhood staple!
