I was staying in Mesa for a weekend and luckily I found this hip cafe right across the street from my hotel. I had a toasted bagel, cream cheese, and a pour-over coffee -- which was extremely flavorful. The cafe is tucked into a small shopping center so you have to look for it, but it's worth it. The owners run the place and are both young, cool, and friendly. It has recently reopened so the decors & branding will likely be updated soon but this is definitely good destination if you're looking for great coffee and a chill atmosphere. read more

Prices are very reasonable. Small and quiet vibe. Neutral: Not the fastest coffee service you can get, so if you're in a rush just consider that. No drive thru, HOWEVER very kid friendly. The owner is so sweet and helpful, very kind to my kids and lets them play on the small stage there. Bad coffee and bad food. I really wanted to like this place, and after reading the positive reviews and viewing the photos my hopes of enjoying a Saturday brunch with friends were high. The ambience was cute and charming. The service was good, but the food was lacking in both taste and appearance. Great coffee, the best vibes, and tasty food! My husband and I love this place! It's perfect for if you need plant based options and basic options. The iced Chaggachino with espresso and coconut milk is delicious. I love the vegan breakfast sandwich, the tater tot bowl, and the vegan bomb Parmesan chickun sandwich but I would request it cut in half. Murphy the owner is a wonderful guy. I've been here a couple of times and I always like the coffee. It's always tasted so good. The baristas were always nice and helpful because we always love hearing people's recommendations. My favorite thing there is their lavender honey latte. I could get that every time I go. We've tried some of their food and it was good as well. I think it's also cool that they're are attached to a tattoo shop. I've been told their story of why it's like that but I can't remember but I think it's smart and cool! This is our second time visiting Buddha Brew. It's in the same space as a tattoo parlor and has a little stage. It's clean, has lots of seating, and good music. The bathrooms are also very clean. We ordered the vegan spinach frittata, eggs 2 see, vegan tot bowl, fruit bowl, and an earl gray iced tea. The food and drinks are fantastic and tasty. I also love that they have a lot of vegan options. When we first got our order they messed up and gave us non-vegan food, but we're quick to correct it. My kids ate all their food and asked for more. I would order the tot bowl, frittata, and fruit again. The reason I only did 4 stars is because the portions are TINY for the price you pay. We left pretty hungry, and did not order more because of the cost. Although I would go here again, I would make sure I'm not starving. read more

I knew what I wanted when I got there so I placed an order for Get That Breakfast Sandwich and medium latte. This breakfast sandwich was just what I was craving. It was one egg on a bagel with hatch green chili, turkey, pepper jack cheese and avocado spread. So dang good and filling. The latte was great too! Such a cool coffee shop! I've tried a ton of coffee shops in the valley and was so excited to finally come here! It is cute, I love the set up and it looks like they do live music too. Dropped in to get a bite to eat. It was about 20 mins to closing time. The owner was super gracious and turned the oven back on for us and made us delicious Bomb Parmesan encrusted sandwiches. They were delicious! Melted cheese, mock chicken, various veggies. For drinks, we had the Oreo iced latte and a coffee. The latte was really yummy. Not too sweet either. The best part was that they have almond milk whipped topping. Extra bonus points! The interior is a slick modern design. Comfortable with lots of room in between tables. They will be incorporating some live music and open mic nights once things get back to "normal". The owner stopped by to ask us how everything tasted and gave us a nice history of the new location. Very personable! Next door is tattoo. We almost missed the entrance because the tattoo parlors sign is more prominent, so keep your eyes open for the Buddha sign and logo. The Barista Amber, was so nice she made me two different ones since I couldn't decide. It made my day She also got me a stamp card where the last punch gets you $150 off a tattoo!!! Mmmm the coffee is wonderful, the food is yummy, the service is great!! It's got an eclectic gently happy vibe that makes you want to stay longer. On the outside it looks like a little hole in the wall shop (the best usually are) and inside you'll find it inviting and chillaxed. It's evident they love good food good vibes, and surprise! The lavender honey latte was dope. I don't know what it is about this drink, as I normally do unflavored lattes, but but even though this flavor tastes like soap, I dig it, and Buddha's Brew does it well. It's not overwhelming and it tastes pleasant and calming. The place is really cute and welcoming, too. There are a few outlets on the walls if you want to sit at the hi-tops and work on your laptop, and the design of the cafe is homey. Only thing I did not enjoy was the two girls at the counter were speaking really loudly together the entire time I was there, and that was distracting. read more

Murphy, the owner, answered the phone with high energy! Walked in and same energy as he helped me decide what I wanted. Sandwich was yummy... I've been wanting to try more local business and have also been wanting to try Budda's for some time and figured I could kill two birds with one stone. The ambiance and vibe are great at this little coffee shop. It's next to a tattoo shop so if you want some coffee before a tattoo or vice versa this is the place. Unfortunately my first experience was not the greatest. There was only one person at the register both taking orders and making the coffee. I don't mind waiting, but it would have been nice to be acknowledged when we were waiting. A simple "hi I'll be right with you" would have been enough, but we just stood there waiting. Once we were able to place our order we got some coffee and their chocolate croissants. The coffee was ok, not terrible, but nothing special. The chocolate croissant was very rich and delicious. I would suggest splitting it because it is a bit rich. We got our order to go and when we left there was no thank you, not even when my boyfriend told the young lady "thank you have a nice day" did we get a response. I'm very big on customer service and this coffee shop fell short on the customer service. There are a few other coffee shops on Main Street which I want to check out and hopefully have a better experience. I'm not sure I will return here. read more

Oh I so badly want to give them 5 stars cause it's so close to perfect. The coffee itself is great. The way it's prepared it's not too sweet with lot of options for flavor add ins & the seasonal menu always has some creative gems. My kids love the Italian sodas. It made this the perfect place to stop for a treat for them & caffeine for me. The food menu is simple but unlike a lot of coffee places has everything you need for a quick bite for lunch of breakfast not just snacks or pastries. As an added perk they have just as much vegan as non vegan offerings so if you have a mixed group of eaters everyone has options. The service is on point & friendly. It's never too busy or dead. The decorating & the overall vibe is uniquely Buddha's Brew House & I can't wait for it too be cooler so we can make sure of the outdoor seating. I love the inclusion of the elephant nonprofit . It'll be the perfect stop before a morning downtown or at the park. My only complaint comes with how breakfast came out. All good parts that had clearly been in a microwave which wrecked the texture. Incredible place! I saw this place on my way to another coffee spot and did a quick turn and came here instead. It's beautiful, clean, the vibe is really me! It was medium to low noise level and was perfect for me to end my work day. I love the art work. I had a great iced Almond Turtle with Coconut milk (10/10 would recommend). Katya helped me out today and was extremely welcoming kept the place clean and made me a great turkey pesto croissant! Also (10/10) would recommend and FRESH purchased daily produce by the owner. Oh yes. 5 stars. 5 for my iced brew that was this almond mocha at quarter sweet. Yum 10 for their espresso machine. Yes it's one of the really good ones, and she knows how to pull espresso! Two vegans walk into Buddha's Brew! End joke. Visiting from LA this weekend and had our sister invite us to Buddha's Brew. As you can see from the photos, this place is very attractive, and the food is so delicious. I ordered the vegan breakfast sandwich and before my second bite I started planning my next opportunity to get the vegan breakfast sandwich before we leave town. The avocado toast is always a great way to gauge proportions. Being that avocado is the new gold on the west coast, some places can be unfair with the amount of avocado they give you. Not here! Full on amazing avocado toast. My fiancé got the vegan breakfast tator tot bowl that was not only vegan but also gluten free!! Totally recommend Buddha's Brew! My first time here. My drink was good Lavender Honey Latte. My eggs were rubber as they were prepared in the microwave. The server was swamped and I should not have ordered food. Just come here for your drinks and simple baked goods. My friend got a granola parfait and the girl forgot the milk that goes with it. I'll come back and give this place another chance. Vacationed to Arizona this week and got to visit one of coolest and high vibration combo restaurants in Pheonix! This very zen brunch spot called Buddha Brew also features a very well known tattoo shop @oldtownink that was represented on InkMaster by well known artist, Aaron "Bubba" Irwin in 2014! Super cool experience and very good people! Most importantly it was all original and natural food that had me running on all cylinders after the gym. Beautiful paintings and statues all throughout the space with high oxygen producing plants to give even more of that natural vibe! A home away from home. When I walked in they were playing The Cure and I was immediately greeted by Murphy with a friendly hello. Their lavender honey latte was full of bold flavor and their mozzarella tomato basil sandwich was like eating fine dining at home. Priscilla was a joy to speak with and really knew the area! The team really knows how to make a place feel homey and capture the flavor and personality of anything they choose to bring to life and share.
