Great dive bar, we went for pool and karaoke. Everyone that sang was so amazing, that it was a little intimidating to go up there but everyone was also so nice and encouraging. You can tell a lot of the people are regulars but they were friendly. There was also darts which was a pleasant surprise. Funny experience with this place! Was completing an UberEats delivery late at night, when it directed me to a pizza place that was closed down. The directions actually took me straight to the 480 Bar. Clearly this was NOT the correct place, yet the bartender tried to help me find the place! I checked out Septembers for Karaoke Straight out of the gate- the service was AMAZING!! Now...I'm not the best with names. But, I think her name was Stacy and if it's not, the beautiful bartender at September's made me feel welcomed and like a friend. The atmosphere was filled with high spirits and friendly faces-it's sort of had a CHEERS vibe... Where everybody knows your name. The M.C. had a big personality and kept the singers in the crowd Happy! I'm not a drinker... I never complain, I mean I'm probably one of the hardest people to piss off. But, the older bartender with the pixie cut was absolutely rude. I downloaded yelp just to make aware of what happened my first time here at 480 bar. It wasn't busy enough for her to be waving in my friends face, yelling "hello" with an attitude, and continued after I told her my friends seeing what our other friend who was in the bathroom wants to drink. I can't be the first to have put in a complaint about this lady. But, I won't be back. Other than that encounter, it was great! Played some pool, and sang some karaoke. Hopefully it was just a bad night for her and she wakes up in a better mood tomorrow for her shift. :) Could've made good money tonight. read more

I think the keyword with this place is "neighborhood." When I popped in for a pint of Kilt Lifter, most people were sitting at the bar and were clearly regulars (cue "Norm!" from Cheers if you're as old as I am). Indeed, some of the regulars were chanting that they wanted Jen from the backroom to come out (she eventually did and she wasn't the most pleasant of people but I guess you have to be a regular). If you aren't living nearby, it's a perfectly acceptable place to drop in. I didn't find the employees particularly warm but not rude either. Maybe just not used to new guests? The interior of the bar is quite dark. So dark that when you leave and are confronted by the bright Arizona sun you get a little dizzy (not side effects from the IPA, I promise!). There are some pool tables. The place isn't in particularly good shape but good enough. The lack of table service was a bummer but ordering at the bar was no biggie. I will give them props for having a help-yourself water dispenser and cups near the bar. Why don't more places in Arizona do this? Given the omnipresent staffing shortages everyone is experiencing, this would solve a lot for both employees and guests. read more

I frequent this place pretty much every Saturday night for karaoke. I love the small dive bar atmosphere and the service when Jen is behind the bar. I only tried the food once or twice, but it was good. They have pool tables and one of those digital jukebox machines. People are pretty friendly, and you will find a wide mix of ages. You will see some regulars but also new folks coming in every weekend. The karaoke host is awesome and the sound is good. I suggest parking in the back lot because it is easier than parking off of Arizona Avenue. There is also an ATM inside if you need to pay cash. After driving by this bar(location) for 20+ years, my hubby and I finally came in here for Friday night Karaoke. We were very surprised with how friendly and safe it felt when we first walked in (not what you'd expect for the area). We were greeted by the bartender, CJ, who is an absolute doll! She was very attentive and super sweet! We were also helped by Wes who was just as nice! 1l The crowd was a great mix of everyone! The songs ranged from pop to rap to rock to metal to show tunes! We had the best time! Plus, this location has an App for karaoke where you can look at the songbook and put your song in without leaving your table. It was definitely what I was looking for. I've been on the hunt for good old fashioned dive bar since moving out to this side of town and most of the places around here are too new to have that old divey feel to them. I want a place that's older, that isn't trying to be hip and cool, and has regulars that are nice and welcoming. Didn't really get to talk with too many people there because karaoke was going on but it still hit the mark on everything else. Me and my friend ordered drinks from the bar and found a table. It was really busy on this night and the table we sat at we thought was empty cause no one was there except for a drink that was pretty much finished. A drunk guy came up and said it was his table but it was ok if we sat there. We asked if he was sure if it was ok that we stayed there and he mumbled some words and stumbled away. He eventually pissed himself and was escorted out by some nice regulars. We had a server come up and get us another round which was nice. I wasn't expecting that cause most bars like this don't have table service which is totally fine with me. I have no problem going to the bar and ordering a drink but this was a nice surprise and we were totally stoked on it. Vibe here is overall chill. Don't judge a book by it's cover... I have lived in the Chandler/Gilbert area for many years and I would have never thought to go in this place. It is in a rougher part of Chandler and seems a little sketchy from the front. We ere feeling adventurous and decided to give it a try. Once inside it was very pleasantly surprised. It was so clean! Don't get me wrong it is defiantly a dive bar, but a very well kept one. It didn't even smell like a bar. They have pool tables and lots of seating. The bartenders were very friendly. This is a great place to go if you are looking to hide out and have some drinks and shoot some pool. They have karoke on Friday and Saturday nights.
