All the Yelp reviews said this place is a dive bar and I agree, it definitely is. I kind of like dive bars, kinda grimy, not so trendy bar where interesting characters show up. Guy behind the bar was nice to me and offered me a few taste of wheat beers on draft. He hd a wild berry wheat-like beer which I liked, so I went with that. They do have food here and the day I came, only fried items available as the cook was out that day. I had some fries and they were good. My bill was really negligible and I like this laid back place tucked in a mall, across from Pickle Kingdom. I'd definitely come back again. Come support your local dive bar! read more

This place is great a legit bar with great drink and food prices. I've been twice and had the wing special. When I went the 2nd time Alexis the bartender remembered my name and order. We met up at this bar for a drink after a terrible day, because it's in the neighborhood. They were really dead, so this should have been simple for them. I ordered a Captain and Coke. I don't know what she served me, but it definitely wasn't a Capt and Coke. It tasted like some kind of flat, generic cola. Really gross. If you can't get that simple drink right, you've got problems. How is this place still open??? We went on Friday night before a football game. Maybe four people in the place. Sat ourselves at a table and it took a good 10 minutes for the bartender to walk over. She said they didn't have a cook right now, so drinks only (5pm on a Friday night.) My husband ordered a drink off the table menu and she looked at him and said, "I don't know what that is." So he showed her the menu. She said, "They put those out without even telling us." Definitely made it feel like we were inconveniencing her. We finally got our drinks and were never acknowledged again. The cook (I assume) walked in about 20 minutes later with her kids in tow and sat at the bar. My husband and his friend walked over to the bar, paid for our drinks, and we high-tailed it to Brews across the street for a great dinner! read more

Third Base is conveniently located across the parking lot from Pickle Kingdom where my family enjoys playing pickleball... and sometimes while playing, we lose track of time because we're having so much fun. On one particular occasion, I realized that my family needed dinner and soon... I headed over to Third Base to order some food and was greeted by the bartender who took my order and gave me an ice water to sip on while I waited. My family joined shortly after and even though I'd ordered the food to-go, we ended up staying and eating there... We enjoyed some wings, fries, a chicken sandwich, and pretzel bites. The pretzel bites were such a hit that we ended up with a second order. The rest of the food was fine, but nothing to write home about. The place is a true dive bar / sports bar as categorized by Yelp... I don't know that we'll rush back, but if you're in the area in need of some grub or wanting to chill at a sports bar, you cannot go wrong at Third Base. read more

My son and I went for lunch and sat at the bar. The bartender got us our $2.50 Tecate beer which is a Special price on Tuesdays! I had a very good flat bread and my son liked his chicken wrap with salad. Both of these were on lunch menu for $8.50. Nice local bar and friendly staff. read more

This bar has been open since March at this new location. I had been in the bar that was here previously as well as the old location on Ray and Dobson, admittedly not recently. This is much roomier. It's decked out with sports memorabilia and the table tops are all old baseball card which I thought was really cool. Even better is tons of Boston stuff!!!! I got there about 4-4:30 on a Wednesday but wasn't sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves or what but Just decided to sit at a table. The bar and high top area were pretty full and the folks there were having a great time. There were also a few people taking advantage of the off track betting and races were on a lot of the TVs. (They have a lot of TVs!) The bartender came to great us pretty quickly even though she was the only one waiting on customer. I thought she was attentive and conversational. The happy hour is okay. The drinks were great. We got pretzel bites with nacho cheese, wings and fries (seems to be fresh cut and were super yummy). I'll certainly try other food next time I am there. It was too hot to spend much time on the patio but I stuck my head to check it out. Looks like they have a ton of yard games. My one critique is the bathroom (ladies) seems a bit run down, grungy and could certainly use an upgrade and the old equipment taken down. And yelp needs to update the hours. They certainly don't close at 2 pm.it's probably 2 am. read more

We walked in and sat ourselves, no one from the restaurant staff acknowledged us, and the place was completely empty. We went up to the bar to get some drinks where we stood for 5 minutes before someone helped us, again, no one else was being served. Horrible service, will not be back. read more

Service is terrible to start because they get angry with you if you deviate from what they are used to, also they are extremely sensitive about service times because they are not properly staffed and lastly the bartender Alexis is extremely opinionated and will act like she's got more important things to do than serving the customers read more
