The food came really quickly and my order was actually 100% correct which is amazing! I ordered the sweet crêpe of Nutella and banana, and it was the best thing I've ever eaten! Also one of my favorite foods! I also got the BLT with avocado and it was so so so so good! The hash browns were the my husband and I have ever had. The seasoning was so good and it was a nice and crispy. My husband loved his monte cristo crepe. The club sandwich tasted so good. I actually got full fast and took mine to go for leftovers and I never usually take leftovers. We ordered 3 waffles to go for our teenage sons. The banana and cream and mixed berry and strawberry Nutella waffles is what we brought them and all were so good. I don't like pancakes or waffles but the banana one was my favorite. My boys raved about how good it was. It was one of the best they had too. Our waiter was amazing and great at checking on us but not over checking on us. He was excellent !! Great food but be ready to practice your virtue of patience! This hidden gem is a family run business in the place you would least expect, next to a barber shop and a Food City. From the outside I expected it to be just a small coffee shop but as I sat down and took a look at the menu I was absolutely shocked at the huge number of choices for all types of breakfast meals! From waffles to Phillycheese steaks and from Montecristos to chilaquiles. We had to start with the waffles because that was what brought us here in the first place and there was nothing disappointing about them! Everything was delicious! But patience is definitely needed because this place was fully packed on Saturday and although the staff was incredibly nice and working as hard as possible it was just not humanly possible to take care of all the customers they have with the staff on hand. Right away i was worried.. the server didn't acknowledge us when walking by and we sat for probably 10 minutes before coming over. Coffee and water is self serve ( we didn't know that it doesn't say it anywhere) The server was friendly when taking our order. He's very calm and professional but doesn't have a huge sense of urgency. They should really have more than one server. Our food came out pretty quick and was extremely good. The eggs Benedict were served on either untoasted or barely toasted English muffins that instantly became soggy due to the abundance of what was supposed to be holandaise sauce. I was looking for a breakfast spot on my last morning in Phoenix and decided on this place after seeing the good reviews and the menu. When I walked in there were a few tables with people and the host/server greeted me immediately. I sat myself and he brought me a menu. The eggs were a little overcooked and had some griddle gristle mixed in, so I got some bites with burnt something from another order mixed in. The waffle was definitely the star of the dish and I would get it again. The lemon water was nice and refreshing. The restaurant was fairly loud due to a family with several rambunctious kids sitting right next to the door. The kids kept screaming and talking loudly. Luckily I was dining by myself so I didn't have to worry about hearing anyone I was sitting with. Given how loud it was with just one family, I'm sure it's even louder during peak times over the weekend. The host/server was an absolute delight. I didn't catch his name but the receipt says Laf, that may be it? He was a tall Black gentleman with a cross necklace. He was so friendly and made me feel right at home. I was worried about it being awkward that I was dining alone as I had never done so in a sit-down restaurant before, but he made me feel completely normal and I was so grateful for that. The lemon water was so refreshing! The gentleman at the register is quite friendly and enthusiastic. This place looks like a hole in the wall and small on the outside. But if you go inside it was actually pretty big! There is lots of seating and the staff was really nice. I got a coffee and it was very good! I'm usually picky with my coffee but this one was well done. It was decently sized too! I had to take it home. My daughter got a crepe this visit and it looked delicious. However, it was a little bit chewy or rough on some pieces. It just wasn't consistent in texture. I got a eggs Benedict on a ham with some hash browns. It was okay, different from what I usually get. I think I would come back here in the future. The menu was huge! The other issue is that we were the only two people in the entire restaurant and it took them quite some time to come to our table. In fact, we had to call attention. I loved my waffle, and wish I could get the same toppings with pancakes instead. Whatever they cook the eggs in, was very heavy handed, and they overcook them in my opinion. On the other hand, the sausage was on the cold side. My partner had the churro pancakes with eggs and bacon. She liked the pancakes, but said only the top one was worth eating. I wish she had told me that before I tried them; the top one soaked up all the good stuff, so the bottom two were on the dry side. The atmosphere was definitely all about having a good time - exactly the opposite of what we were served at the hotel. My wife and I loved the chilaquiles with red and green salsa. Our foodie daughter said her savory Chorizo crepes were "delish". My other daughter is super picky and loved the crepes with strawberries and cream that she described as "even better than Dad's".
