A cute boba shop located right next to Asiana Market and MCC! I have been wanting to try this place. It had very cute cafe vibes with lots of outlets, seating, and natural lighting. Staff were super sweet and the boba orders came out in a very timely fashion. I ordered the taro milk tea with boba (50% sweetness) and my boyfriend ordered the medium Thai Tea with boba. Both were very good, in my opinion. The taro milk tea had a different taste to it, almost like a residual oolong/herbal taste. Just took me by surprise! Prices were also reasonable. Kids wanted some Boba and just happened to see this place as I was driving by. When I pulled up, I noticed there was quite a few people going in and a lot of people coming out. I am no boba expert and can't tell you if they are better than other boba places. But Boba Tree is a close drive for me and every time I have come here I have enjoyed my drink. It's a cute place. The menu is pretty big, I've gone there twice and both times I've felt lost on what to order. The girls in the front seem to rush you in ordering. Like they just get up front and stare at you! I don't know how to explain it but it makes you feel rushed. They don't acknowledge you and greet you they just wait at the register and stare. My mom recommended this place after going to H Mart. Turns out the boba place she wanted closed but this place was here. This was one of my original go-to boba shops in Mesa. Before the pandemic, I used to love coming here to sit and drink boba while hanging out with friends. I thought they had a nice aesthetic with the décor they had on their tables (the posable art mannequins). Very happy to have found a place that does this soup well, has a wide range of toppings including taro mash and pudding, and is quick in service. It is the closest I have found to Meet Fresh. Boba is life and I'm making it a personal mission to find the best Boba Phoenix has to offer! While I have my favorite places, I'm open to see what the competition has to offer considering the number of boba shops that have been opening. Today's boba adventure featured Boba Tree. Based on other Yelp reviews, the cheese foam drinks seem to be popular and worth the hype here. This meant I had to sacrifice my standard boba milk tea taste test. I felt okay with this decision because Boba Tree offered two drinks for patrons to sample, one of them being the black milk tea. Let's just say, I'm coming back for the milk tea! It had a great tea flavor and was not overly sweet! After I got over my guilt of betraying my milk tea, I opted to try the cheese Jasmine tea. The cashier was lovely and let me sample the cheese foam prior to ordering. This is my first time trying cheese foam. I know, what have I been doing with my life. To be fair, I've tried the sea salt foam green tea from 85 C Bakery, which is comparable in some ways. For those of you that are wondering if I'm intending to say cheese, the answer is yes. Now, before you irk yourself out, let me explain. Think cheesecake, liquid cheesecake with a floral or fruity essence from the tea. The foam sits on top of the tea that adds a depth of flavor to the drink. The foam in fact comprises of cheese or cheese powder in addition to other dairy products such as cream cheese, whip cream and condensed milk. Other ingredients such as sugar and sometimes sea salt are added. Don't worry, it doesn't taste like a liquid grill cheese! I added boba to my cheese Jasmine tea. In total, my drink costed $7.01. Eh, it's a little beyond expensive for a drink but I was very happy with the drink. If I didn't add the boba, the drink would have $5 plus tax. However, the boba was great and had such a chewy texture. Some may not like that texture but I loved it! I'm a big fan of the boba here! The tea had a great floral flavor. I ordered the tea with 0% sugar because I knew I was going to get sugar from the boba and cheese foam. It was the perfect amount of sweetness! My drink came in a cute cup that probably holds 12 or 16 oz. The ambiance was great and cute. The cashiers were nice. The tea tasted like tea. The cheese added a nice touch to The drink. The boba had a great chewy texture. They have a loyalty stamp card. These are all great qualities of a boba shop. I'll be back and will get the boba milk tea! read more

It seems like every boba place has the same idea of how to set the decor and make it the same type of "cute" - plush stuffed animals, comfortable seats, cartoon drawings on the wall. Boba Tree was no exception! The table we were sitting at had a display case filled with origami that anyone can add to, which I thought was a nice touch. The menu was extensive with a good selection of milk tea flavors, toppings, regular iced/hot teas, and shaved ice. It seems like the cheese foam is big here, but I wasn't in the mood to try it when I was here. They had samples of milk tea to try but they were room temperature. It could be that I was extremely full from overeating at KBBQ, but I did not think my boba was anything special. I ordered a Thai milk tea with boba, half sweetness and half ice. Maybe I played myself, but the drink was lukewarm (ice had melted), and it was not as sweet as I would have wanted. It could be that I need to calibrate to their ice/sweet gauge, but I had assumed that since Thai tea is normally very sweet, half sweetness should be at a good level. As the legendary actor Charles P. Thompson once said, "you must constantly calibrate yourself to match the gauge of others", so if I come back here I will try the regular sweetness and ice levels to see if I like it more. The friends I was with also had the same experience with the 50% ice level and their drinks being warm. I guess that's what you get for trying to maximize your milk tea ratio! Currently I would not rate Boba Tree as high as some other boba places I have tried in the area, but it's not bad. read more

1. The parking is plentiful, and it is shared with a number of businesses in the plaza where this tea shop is located. 2. The oolong milk tea was wonderful. You can actually taste the tea unlike many places. I ordered the milk tea with a quarter sugar. It was made well, and tea is actually brewed rather than using powder tea. 3. The decor is amazing. There is a high countertable island where you can get some work done. Likewise, there are tables and chair on the side, along with high countertable. On the other hand, the wifi does not work. The wifi network could not be discovered. 4. The cashier was incredibly kind and respectful. He delivered his customer service well. 5. The menu is well priced. My small oolong milk tea is less than $4 before tax, which is seemingly hard to find when most tea places are pricing their milk tea above the $5 mark, which I don't believe is worth it. I am welcomed by the sounds of K Pop and the familiar electric whirl of blenders in the background. Maybe it's the Christmas decorations expertly placed below the menu wall to my left? Maybe it's the samples of milk tea and and yo yo grapefruit placed beside the garland with care? Who knows, but I am seriously parched. I am ready to order a refreshing cool summer tea, and I am in the right place to do just that. We came here on 11/20/20 for a quick drink in the evening. The parking lot had a lot of spaces. Everybody wore masks inside and tried to social distance so that was good. We all ordered drinks but I could only remember mine which was a large Boba Milk Tea ($4.99) with all normal levels for ice and sugar. It took a while for the drinks to be made since the people before us ordered a lot of drinks. We were on our way when we got our drinks. The large Boba Milk Tea tasted mostly like milk and there was not a lot of tea flavor. The boba was soft and chewy but it was mainly a boba milk drink. They have fruit teas, yogurt drinks, milk teas, regular flavored green tea or black tea and fruit teas with pulp, etc. They also have different types of add ins too, from pudding, boba, aloe vera, popping boba and even coffee jelly. Point is, there is a combo for everyone out there. I've been here many times in my recent discovery, Thanks to (Hana N., Sion H. and Joyce W.) and I can't stop coming back, even if it is a 40 minute drive from home. The service is quick, the staff is quite nice and the pricing isn't bad at all, pretty decent for the quality, taste and sizing. It was my first time here so I was glad to see that they have a menu on the window outside so I could check It out before going in. They have several different drinks to pick from so picking one was very hard. Sizes come in both medium and large and drinks start at about $3.99. I originally wanted a taro milk tea with vanilla and boba but the employee told me they didn't have vanilla. I ended up getting a medium fancy milk tea and my sister got a caramel milk tea. My fancy milk tea was actually pretty good! The boba was very chewy and it made the drink taste 10000x better. My sisters drink was also very delicious and she said she would get that one again! Apple tree...pear tree...orange tree...but my favorite type of tree would be a Boba Tree! The cheese tea and friendly service from Boba Tree Lin Tea House deserve five stars alone. A quick google search will tell you the trendy "cheese" foam is a mixture of cream cheese, evaporated milk, whipped cream and a pinch of salt. The cheese topping is delicious but a drink becomes more of a dessert treat than a daily drink with it. Good thing Boba Tree offers a lot more options! Such as: Super Grapefruit or Crazy Fruit Tea, Aloe Honey Tea, Milk Tea, Matcha Latte, Ocean Bubble, YoYo, and Slushies drinks. All of the drinks I have tried have been pretty taste-tea! And you are able to customize your sweetness and add-ins to really make whatever drink your heart desires. The shop can get fairly busy but the baristas do a great job at handling the crowds. My only real negatives here are that the drinks can get a little price-tea (pricey) and I wish the store was open earlier in the day so I could grab a drink from here instead of at other coffee/tea spots on my way to work or class. It was a cold night in Phoenix and we wanted to grab a light dessert after a hot ramen dinner. Boba sounded like the perfect answer, so we drove to Boba Tree Lin Tea House, which is located in the corner of a shopping plaza. On first impression, there are a lot of high-end cars in the lot. We saw every kind of BMW, a Maserati, and a Range Rover. It was like an informal car show. The interior reminded me of a coffee shop. It seemed like a great place to hang out with friends or study. Lots of group and counter seating available with some odd but fun interactive décor, but they were mostly occupied when we came in. They have a mounted TV playing Vevo music videos. The menu is a bit funky. I was not brave enough to try the cheese foam drinks but they seem to be very popular here. They don't have an extensive selection but they have what you'd expect at a minimum. I ordered a large warm taro milk tea. Price was on the mid to expensive range; also they charge an extra fee for anything under the minimum charge of $10.00, which is technically illegal but fairly common in boba shops. The portions were on the smaller side but they made up for that with a ridiculous amount of tapioca, almost 40% of the cup. It came out within 5 minutes and tasted mildly sweet.
