The pistachio frappe was absolutely amazing, it had a rich, thick milkshake vibe to it, and I've honestly never had anything quite like it before. Came here at 11:30 PM and stayed until closing. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the café was active and my friend and I were not the only ones with the idea to get coffee at midnight. Even though it was busyish, the atmosphere was relaxed and the noise level was minimum. When ordering, the cashier was super sweet and gave wonderful recommendations. We ordered a hot tiramisu latte, hot coconut latte (decaf), and a pistachio croissant. We sat at a corner table and were brought our coffee and pistachio croissant quickly. Stopped by here with a friend to try out their coffee, TikTok has wrangled me once again. The inside is big, very spacious and honestly the decor is really cool as well. I wish I snapped a pic but didn't want to take any pics of people relaxing and enjoying themselves. The barista was friendly and answered any questions we had, the coffee was good just not as strong as I hoped. I did get a slice of carrot cake and it was delicious. My friend and I stayed for a while and chatted and it was the general vibe of everyone there. People were posted with laptops of groups catching up. Overall love the vibe of this place. My family and I stopped by for coffee before our roadtrip and we all enjoyed our drinks. I liked my Pistachio Latte. I was expecting it to be a bit more sweet but it was still good and the coffee flavor was strong. There were ground up pistachios in it which was a nice touch, but there was definitely more than I would have preferred. I felt like every sip I took I had to chew as well. We had seen pictures of a savory food menu and pictures of these menu offerings, but come to find out Shaghf Cafe doesn't really serve much savory food anymore. They did have "calzones" which were basically pizza dough wrapped around meat and sauce. They were out of the flavor I wanted so I tried the buffalo chicken instead. It was very average. I also tried the Dates Cold latte because they indicated the date syrup is imported from Dubai. It had an artificial sweetener taste to it, which I didn't love. My friend tried the Dubai chocolate crêpe, which was actually a pretty generous portion and tasted delicious! The woman taking orders was very knowledgeable about the menu but I didn't really appreciate that there was no menu descriptions so I had no choice but to ask her to tell me what was in every single menu item. Tried this place out Sunday since we were in the area. It's pretty inside. Lots of black, gold, green and neutral decor. The gold monkeys hanging on the rope holding lightbulbs were cute. Kinda looks like something you'd see on the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland. The owner was nice. He took time to answer our questions and explain what was in certain drinks that we were curious about. Luckily, it wasn't busy at the time so we weren't rushed. As soon as we finished ordering, it got super busy! I meant to order the Pistachio Latte but accidentally ordered the Frappe. It was good but I wanted coffee. Was going to order the Dubai Chocolate Bar but he said it would take an hour. My friend also realized she should've ordered a coffee instead of the Cookie Frappe. Can't remember if she liked it or not. She also ordered a Nutella Croffle for her kids. She said that was pretty good. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for studying, working, or just spending time with friends. One of the highlights of their menu is the Dubai chocolate, which they prepare beautifully. I ordered an iced latte and a glass of Dubai chocolate with strawberries and Nutella , which cost me around $25--a bit more than I expected, but after tasting it, I realized it was worth it, because service is fast . What a great addition to Tempe's coffee scene! I've had the chance to visit Shaghf Cafe a few times now and it's such a unique coffee meet up. A little ducked off of the Main Street of Apache in a strip mall, this cozy spot has the sweetest baristas. The service is always great and they have so many selections I can't wait to try more. This is a coffee shop established in the UAE since 2018, and cool to have this here in Phoenix! Tonight, after yoga class, I needed to catch up on some work and I was in Tempe. This coffee shop came up in my searches as closing late and this has been a place on my list to visit, so I popped in around 7pm. The place is very close to ASU and in a shopping plaza with lots of other stores. Ample parking available in shared lot. The place is very inviting and spacious. It's probably one of the most diverse places I have been here in Phoenix. Lots of students too and many studying. I love the ambiance here, lots of cool lights and decorations (including sculpture monkeys hanging off ropes with lights). And the music they played was poppy, happy music, almost identical to my own play list. The workers here are very friendly and helpful. The woman that took my order was very sweet. I wanted to try the karak chai and she gave me a sample of it. It's a bit like Indian chai with lots of spices and not sweet at all. I loved it! I also tried the Dubai chocolate as I saw lots on social media about it. For close to $9, I think next time I'll pass. It's kind of a novelty and curiosity got to me haha. It's pistachio flavored and it's really good, but you have to consume it immediately as it will melt. I didnt know that, so by time I wanted to eat more of it, it had mostly melted on my plate! When it's melted, it tastes a bit like a pistachio flavored Nutella. I enjoyed getting work done here and I sat at a high top seat facing the parking lot as there were outlets available there. The coffee shop has good traffic in and out, was clean and just a great atmosphere to work. And it's open until midnight on weeknights and 1am on weekends! I'll definitely be back again! Did some research on their beautiful logo (photo below of it on a flowerpot) and it means passion or intense love. I noticed this place pop up on social media months ago so I've wanted to try it. Today I finally did and 2 drinks and 2 desserts for $38.27 before gratuity is NUTS. Everything was good (minus how expensive it was) but my complaint is in regards to the slice of lemon cake that I ordered. It was good, but in the box was the *smallest* piece of cake and I was charged $8.61 for a piece of CHEESECAKE. They offer banana cake on the menu for less than $4.00 and the size definitely matches a $3.77 piece of banana cake. Not a moderately sized piece of cheesecake that I would have been more than happy to pay almost $9.00 for. The decor is super cute and the employee who took my order was very friendly. But it was very expensive for the quantity given. Perhaps they charge for quality but when everything everywhere costs too much, they should offer a bit more for the prices they charge. Stopped by on Saturday with friends and we all tried something different, We ordered: One small red velvet latte One small habibi latte - most popular One small lemon breeze strawberry drink One mango smoothie It was pretty busy as several tables were taken and we luckily snagged the last 4 person table available. Stopped in at Shagfh Cafe for the popular Dubai Chocolate . Located in Tempe in a small plaza, it's quite cute inside. Turquoise blue, gold monkeys and stylized art create an upscale vibe. Friendly staff were hard at work when I visited on a Thursday at 12:30. Half the tables and high top work areas were full with another 6 people in line. I had a hot chocolate with almond milk and the Dubai Chocolate. The chocolate was sweet creamy and the pistachio cream filling was divine! I would have preferred dark chocolate as I find milk chocolate too sweet but that is what is typically combined with the shredded phyllo dough and pistachio cream. If you've ever had the green tea Kit Kat candy, this is a similar taste and so good! You wouldn't think this place was cool from the outside until you walk in. The Instagram accounts and the videos they posted is what drew me to this place. Walking in, it's like you're transported to another culture and I enjoyed that. The decor was simple yet classy. My sister got a coffee and she said it's the best coffee she's had in a while. I had the tea and it was fabulous. We also ordered the tiramisu which was not as great but also, it's not an Italian bakery so I wouldn't expect it to be a fabulous tiramisu. I should have ordered a middle eastern dessert but it slipped my mind. The service was quick and we were given these lagers that lit up and buzzed when the order was ready. The only reason I gave this a 4 instead of a 5 star because the wifi was not working properly even though I asked numerous times what the passcode was. They also had a lunch buffet spread but the food looked dry. It's not a dinner or lunch spot so I didn't expect a restaurant type meal but still would be good for their buffet to look fresh rather than dry and old. Came by on a Sunday morning and it was about 40% full. There are lots of tables and high tables with outlets for folks who want to work or study. Nice girl helped me out and answered my questions. Ordered a pistachio latte and eclair to go - my bill was $17 without a tip! Pretty expensive so I don't think I would come frequently. The pistachio latte had a strong espresso taste but barely any pistachio so that was disappointing. I heard the pistachio frappe is much better with real pistachio paste and blended nuts. They did tell me the frappe has ice cream blended in so more of a dessert with more calories. The eclair was pretty good and huge. I prefer diplomat creme over creme pat for eclairs but it was fine.
