I ordered the peach one since it seemed like the most familiar option, and added boba to it of course. I liked my drink, initially I got a bitter flavor but it settled. The "cheese" tasted like a creamy butterscotch to me and there was a specific way to drink the drink, but I didn't follow it. I was left with the frothy sweet topping at the end but it was good. Anyways, stopped in on Saturday night for some tea. I had gotten the Cheese Peach Tea and tried the Cheese Lychee Tea as well. Both tasted of tea and not that artificial flavor syrup which I appreciate but I feel like this other place that rhymes with "Sea Twirl" has a more robust tea taste that I love. While waiting for my drink, I was staring at the wall where it was telling you to sip your drink at a 45° angle. Hey, a tea that drinks like a Snakebite? I'm in! So after popping off the top and taking a sip, it was increasingly more flavorful and rich. The cheese, AKA salted crema, is actually just cream cheese with some cream and it's my favorite topping here. The Super Grapefruit tea is sooo refreshing! As cute as the grapefruit slices are, I wish it wasn't included. It makes toppings and add-ins hard to drink. The Cheese Gyokuro Green Tea (Buckwheat + green tea) and the Cheese Chamomile Citron Green Tea are also pretty tasty. SO GLAD this place exists in Arizona!!!! Growing up in San Diego, I took high quality TEA-based boba for granted. One of the biggest shocks moving here was not the relatively "saturated" neighborhoods of boba houses around, but the number of places that used POWDERED boba. Seriously - can't a girl get a good jasmine milk tea that doesn't taste like it was made out of a bag? Anyways, besides the point. Boba Tree Lin Tea House seems to be some sort of blessing. Not only do they have GREAT tea, they have fun fancy teas with cheese! I'd seen these back in Socal, but most of the time it's some variation of sea salt foam stuff. But this cheese is DIVINE. For all you skeptics out there - give it a shot. It really goes so well with your boba. Worst case scenario, you just stick your straw in and drink the tea from under. I got the Cheese Peach tea (1/2 sugar) with coconut jellies and LOVED it. I probably wouldn't get the coconut jellies again bc it was a little busy drinking the cream and tea and jellies, but would definitely get the cheese peach tea again! The other highlight for me was the Cheese Rose tea! It's so difficult to find a delicately balanced floral flavor without it overpowering everything, but this place has done it right!!! Those were my favorites, but I sampled some of my friends' other items (Cheese Gyokuru Tea, Hokkaido milk tea, Caramel milk tea, Mango/Durian snow, Mango pancake) - all delicious!!! If boba really did grow on trees you bet I would quit my day job and become a bubble tea farmer ;). That way I could quality control my product all day! I've been here twice so far. The first time, I needed to get some supplies from Korea Mart and used that as the perfect excuse to get a bubble tea from Boba Tree to sip on my way there. The menu has a wide range of various teas and mix ins. Some of the items aren't very self explanatory. For instance, what makes a "magic milk tea" so magical? Turns out, it is coffee jelly! In general a few more descriptions on the menu would help. I got the "fancy milk tea" since it had pudding, "herbal" mix in (I think it is grass jelly) and boba in it (Plus I got to be fancy). The tea was made in a few short minutes and I was on my way! I loved the milk tea. It had the perfect balance of tea flavor and creaminess from the milk. The boba was soft, with just the right amount of chewy springiness. The pudding was also perfection, solid enough not to dissolve in the drink but soft enough to be easily sucked up with the boba straw. I was sad to discover after the fact that I did not get the herbal mix in, I would have loved the extra topping in my drink. On my second visit I was intrigued by the "cheese" drinks (AKA salted cream drink), so I got the cheese Gyokuro green tea with boba. The cream was thick and rich, a little reminiscent of cheese in that it was very creamy and a little tangy. I really enjoyed the refreshing, perfectly brewed Gyokuro green tea. I tried a little of the lemon milk with coconut jelly too which was made with fresh lemons and had an assertive tart taste balanced with the creamy milk and sweet jelly. Note that to use credit card you need a minimum purchase of $10. They don't have the clear plastic heat-sealed lids for their drinks but each drink is hand shaken with ice before being placed in the cup. I love coming here whenever I'm in the area. Compared to other boba places, there isn't as huge of a variety of drinks, but the ones they have are really good. My personal favorite is the banana milk tea. Recently I branched out and tried their other fruit teas and I was not disappointed. The interior is particularly cute and stylish. If you enjoy cheese topping (like I do), you'll love Boba Tree. They have the best cheese topping IMO, and their teas are pretty good too. I'll be honest, I'm usually a glutton when I come here and I add pudding AND cheese to my drink. Their pudding isn't the best, but that cheese topping saves it. I love drinking the tea first, leaving the pudding and cheese for the end when it becomes a sweet yet savory pudding dessert. I've tried some of their berry/fruit offerings and liked those as well, but I personally don't like the cheese/fruit interaction and I'm really here for that cheese. The workers are always friendly and quick to get drinks out. The store offers one or two samples at the front for you to try something new. They do charge a fee for card under a certain amount ($5 I think), so keep that in mind.The store is in a great location for post-KBBQ or post-market treats. It only gets better. My mind was blown. Every component of my drink was absolutely perfect and exceeded my expectations. I ordered the Rose tea cheese foam with taro boba. As you read this you're probably wondering what taro Boba is because that was me! I asked what it was and they gave me a sample of it. Wahhh. My milk tea was watered down with 0 taste at all. I honestly could have just drank some water and it would have satisfied me more. Couldn't taste the milk or the tea. I also ordered the iced grass jelly bowl. #1 on the menu with the taro and yam. The yam and taro was as bland as can be. I wouldn't have been able to tell the two apart if it wasn't for the color. I am willing to drive far, from Goodyear to Mesa far for this place because it's seriously that good and addicting. My first time doing here I had the large rose milk tea with cheese. At first I didn't like it, because all I can taste is the cheese. I found out soon enough that I didn't drink it the right way. They had a detailed drawing on the wall showing the correct way on how to drink it. As I tried drinking it the correct way the second time, I then taste the tea along with the cheese combine together filling my mouth with this heavenly taste of goodness. The place is small, but the way they arranged the seatings makes it very comfortable and roomy. The place is really nice and clean, though I do wish the bathroom was a little cleaner. All the staff were nice and friendly. They work fast to make sure u get your drinks in a timely manner. My favourite flavours are the Jasmine cheese tea with boba and the Hokkaido with herbal jelly. The cups are fun and utilitarian. Initially I really did want to like this place. I tried their fancy milk tea and it was pretty good. The flavor was also there and it tasted like it was brewed tea. I think overall the drinks here are successful. Menu's a little on a limited side for me, but at the same time you get the more ecletic drinks like the cheese foam which I love. It's a very clean shop with bright interior that I didn't really expect given the almost empty parking lot. It's across the Oregano's side opposite of Dobson, if you confuse this with the other Boba cafe next door. I ordered the Hokkaido milk tea, and it's everything I wanted. Strong tea flavor, creaminess, and the aloe jelly had a nice bite. I think if I were nearby I would easily recommend this place, but wouldn't necessarily make the drive here. It was just slightly awkward bringing friends here. While it's great catching up over the hustle and bustle of a cafe, my particular visit was surrounded by solitary students at their laptop and a Chinese movie that kept getting muted. First time I've been bowled over by boba drinks here in the U.S.! I grew up enjoying delicious warm "taho" - silken tofu in molassesy, brown sugar water and perfectly-cooked warn, fresh boba- and none of the boba drinks I've tried here in Phoenix valley shops made me want to return every week, like I do to Mesa's Boba Tree Lin Teahouse. I actually prefer the coco and herbal/grass jellies to that of the boba served here. However, the boba is soft and chewy, which is better than any of the boba I've tried elsewhere in AZ. Mom did complain about the boba in her Crazy fruit tea last week, as she found them to be overcooked. Otherwise, she very much enjoyed the fruity tea. What I've tried and enjoyed: 1. Super grapefruit tea with coco jelly-- the citrus and floral flavors just make my mouth sing, and the coco jelly and two grapefruit rings are fun to eat (and make me think I've ordered something very nutritious- hehe). 2. Cheese buckwheat tea with coco jelly-- LOVE the salty cheese foam, which combines well with the slightly sweet buckwheat tea, and my love for BT's coco jelly makes me think it goes well with everything! I'm open to trying different suggestions, though. :) 3. Fancy milk tea, which includes boba, herbal, and pudding-- the lightly-sweetened milk tea, isn't cloyingly sweet as I've found most Thai iced teas can be. Don't be fooled by the photo showing chunks of pudding in your tea, or you'll be disappointed. The pudding pieces in my order were so few that I'm not able to analyse further and write about it. Hope you fare better with your order; you may want to pay for extra pudding. Ask for a loyalty punch card if one isn't offered to you. After four trips to BT, I just need to purchase one more drink to get one large drink FREE. p.s. Do NOT refrigerate leftover boba. Boba Tree Lin Tea House was one of them, now just walking right into the store it is extremely aesthetically pleasing, every wall was painted and colored and there were decorations on every table! The menu was easy to understand and they had a drink that was pretty unique, where it was like cheese foam boba(?), I wasnt exactly too sure how to feel about it, but after trying it, it wasn't bad at all!
