Disappointed. I'm willing to try another drink but the sesame black tea latte was not it. The texture was so gritty, too gritty to the point it affected the feel of the drink. I was so thirsty after I finished the drink and it shouldn't be that way. The service was fine.
Cute place, my drink was a little too sweet even though 50% was the recommended sweetness. If you're not a fan of overly sweet, I would go less than what they recommend. Also, expect parking to be rough during busy times since it's so close to ASU.
I had been hesitant about visiting YiFang because of how its interior appears in photos and scarce parking (as it's located in a bustling shopping complex). I took the chance on a Thursday around 6pm. To my surprise there WAS parking that wasn't all the way across the parking lot and there WAS seating available for me to meet up with a friend and be productive! Not sure that this speaks to anything but luck but just something to be aware of! The inside isn't that small, but there's only 4 tables and 16 chairs. At the time of my visit, half of the furnishing was taken up by a large group loudly socializing. The other half of the store was left with only a few chairs and kiosks for ordering. I don't think the store is using its space efficiently at all. At least there's free guest wifi and 4 outlets on the wall near the tables. Anyway, along with the kiosks you can order at the register. Despite specializing in fruit teas specifically, I stuck to my usual order of a black milk tea + cheese or salt or vanilla foam + black pearl boba. My order was ultimately the "cheese creamer black tea", with less ice, pearls, and "latte" version written in the order notes aka adding milk. I was told by my cashier that this choice isn't known to be sweet, even at 100% sugar, but I opted for it anyway. He was totally right, and my drink was less sweet than I am used to but I still enjoyed it a lot! The cheese foam itself was savory but added sweetness. The tea taste was strong but balanced the drink well overall. I enjoyed my drink but don't think I'd readily come back given general difficulty parking and general lack of furnishing and therefore chance I'd be able to snag a seat upon making the trek out here. I'd be more inclined to come back and try more drinks, like the wintermelon latte, if it was more of a grab and go situation when I'm already in the area.
Tried their signature fruit tea 30% sweet today, and it was exactly what I needed after walking outside for an hour in Tempe. Still maybe a tad too sweet for me personally but it was fresh and yummy with real fruit slices inside. I stopped by here on a weekday afternoon, and there was no line. I got my drink within 5 min of ordering. Will definitely be back to their other locations in LA to try the other fruit teas!
So close to the airport! And can't beat the convenience with Trader Joe's and PNC right next door in the same outlet. We ordered drinks off UberEats right as we left the airport and by the time we arrived, our orders were ready. Super fast and friendly staff there. Also, the bubbles were perfectly QQ, and they were very generous with the toppings! I got additional sago. My taro latte even had real taro in it which was a new concept to me, coming from the northeast where bubble tea shops are still relatively few and far between... and all of them use powder. Menu was easy to navigate online and their onsite ordering kiosks were very accessible as well. It's a small footprint inside, but very cozy and clean. YiFang's quality control is consistent across different storefronts (been to a few here on the west coast and in Taiwan). If you want authentic Taiwanese drinks stateside, get 'em here and bring your friends.
Pretty damn good boba tea and Im really happy Emma N told me about this place. I was in the shopping center getting groceries at TJs and then when I came out, I saw YiFang! I stopped in close to 8pm on a weeknight and literally no one was in here. They have a very overwhelming menu but good thing is that you order at a kiosk. I liked that they had winter specials even though technically its still fall. I chose a longan jujube oat milk latte with sago. Ordering was easy and a few minutes later, my drink was ready. My drink was super hot and also just FYI that you can't adjust sweetness on this drink but I will say it was a really good drink and not too sweet. The only issue I had was the longan and jujube were stuck in the cup and I had to tear back the plastic sealed lip to get to them and eat them. Overall, a really well made drink and I would come back! The only issue is that at the $10 price point, I can't justify coming here too often. This is a once in awhile splurge for me, but its a great spot! I loved it!

Considering there are eight billion people in the world, that's a pretty high ratio! We popped in after a dim sum brunch to take advantage of YiFang's BOGO. The price point is still kind of high since I still spent almost $10 for the one drink. We got the grapefruit peach green tea and a strawberry fruit tea. I didn't notice that they had a black sesame latte until after I ordered, which is something I would have prefered instead. Both drinks had amazing flavor, although a bit on the sweeter side, even when choosing the "recommended" sugar level. It's a great fruit tea spot. Would I go out of my way and battle ASU student traffic to come here though? I have to be honest and say no. Nonetheless, if I were in the area, I wouldn't mind coming to this tea spot again.
If it's the summer, I am getting the seasonal grape drink. It's so good and refresher. It tastes like they use muscat grapes. Get it at 30% as their drinks are on the sweeter side. I like the pungent grape flavor and the chunks of grapes in the drinks. The place is small with limited seating but I've never been where it's overwhelmingly busy. The drinks do take awhile to make but it's okay if they're making it fresh. They have kiosks where you order and a screen to tell you when your order is ready. If you don't want to interact with people, this place is for you. I've also tried their signature fruit tea at 30%. While I like all the elements of the drink...there's a lot, 30% is way too sweet. It caught me off guard because fruit teas aren't typically that sweet at other boba places but I know to get 0% sweetness next time. There are a lot of options on the menu so it can be overwhelming but I like options. I feel like I could go and try something new and not be bored of the place. I have yet to try to the milk but I think I've had it at another location. I can't really remember it but it probably wasn't that memorable. They also designated non-caffeinated options as I'm someone who watches my caffeine intake. While they are in a busy plaza, which can be good for business, it's not a fun parking lot to navigate. I hope they stick around and happy to see another quality boba option around campus.
I love milk tea! This place only uses organic milk! Their sign says so but I also took an order to them and brought them 20 gallons of organic milk so I know so So many fun and cool flavors to choose from. This place doesn't accept cash. No one is running a register. It saves time and makes so employees can focus on the drinks instead. Also is nice for hygiene. The inside was so cute. I would love to go back again

I tried the YiFang Fruit Tea, which was incredibly refreshing. I really enjoyed that it was packed with passion fruit seeds, which gave it a nice texture and flavor boost. One thing to keep in mind is that as this plaza expands, parking could become a challenge, so it's something to be aware of if you plan to visit.
Oh my, who would have thought that a suggested 30% sugar would be SO DELICIOUS! They know what they're talking about!!!! I ordered the signature fruit tea, and omg had I not followed the suggested sweet level, this drink would have turned into a disaster and I would have been on sugar high for days! My partner ordered a brown sugar boba sub soy milk (it's possible!) and he said it was perfect! I visited during the grand opening weekend, so it was busy and all the seats were filled with guests. I bet if I showed up on a normal day, it would have been more chilled. Here's the reason for the 4-star rating: everything from walking in to ordering on the self-service kiosks was great (easy to navigate), until the waiting part...there wasn't really a good spot to wait around (and for 13 minutes) unless you're right next to the entrance or by the kiosks, but that would mean eventually you're blended with the people waiting to order, or too close to the people seated. The store got really congested for a good 5 minutes I was there. Kinda awkward waiting in the middle of the dining area and I would love to see improvement on that.

Service was friendly but they are clearly working through some grand opening kinks. One of the two self-serve kiosks kept crashing. Not the chillest spot to hang, but if you're in the ASU area and craving a fruit tea fix, it's worth a try.
Boba Cheerios to the newbie on the block, YiFang! I definitely like these guys better than the last boba shop that was in the same space! I give them props for redecorating and giving the shop a nice decor. Heck, they even have their own branded boba cups! No traditional ordering. This is a kiosk ordering only shop, which is nice. Workers are very friendly and helpful once you reach out to them if you have any questions. The shop is small, but they utilize the space as best that they can. Seats could definitely use some cushions for comfort. I tried their Taiwanese taro green tea latte with grass jelly. My tastebuds filed a formal complaint for my ridiculous choice to put grass jelly in a taro green tea latte, but despite me intentionally wanting to sabotage my own tea, it turned out pretty dang good! 30% sweetness was not sweet enough, so I'll go with 50% next time, but good to know that they don't overdo it on the sugar! The taro was a little rough going down my throat for whatever reason, so no taro for me next time, but I'm pumped to go back and try some of their different drinks!

We came in maybe 30 minutes before close, so some of the drink options were unavailable, which is totally understandable and means I will definitely have to come back to try! I opted for the green tea and added cheese creamer and boba and it was divine! Their boba is perfectly cooked, with a delightfully chewy and soft texture. The flavor of the tea is nice and floral, which cuts through the creamy cheese foam so nicely. The wait was quick, and the drinks are stunning too. You can order from the screens and the menu is extensive. I would absolutely come here again, and I hope to try the aiyu jelly soon! read more
YiFang is probably my favorite Taiwanese tea place in tempe! The quality of the drinks is always consistent everytime I got their drinks. This time I got the Black Sesame Tea Latte 70% sweet and light ice and it was perfect! The amount of Sesame in the drink was generous, you can taste the sesame in each sip throughout the entire drink. Also got the Black tea latte! The tea flavor was nice and it was different than other places I've had. Love this classic drink. The staff is always nice and everytime I went in there's always available seating. It feels like it's only packed when the asu students are back during school season. read more

Be pretty in real life as you are on the internet and your dreams. The drinks here are so cheerful and yummy! Discovered this little gem after we got our piercings and wanted to treat ourselves. Love loved all the choices for jelly teas but ended up getting the Purple Rice Red Bean Coconut Milk Latte and the Cheese Creamer Strawberry drink. The latte is so tropical with chunks of pineapple and jelly. The strawberry drink is like a strawberry shortcake/cheesecake goodness. Both perfect for a typical hot day. We also tried the Chocolate Taiwanese egg pancake. Cutest little boba shapes to munch on. We romanticize our life because we love being us. Love your aura. Love your energy. I really wanted to like this place and I would give it another try, but my drink was borderline inedible. The people who took my order were really nice and got the drinks out quick, zero problems with the service. The sugarcane tea drink just had a really strange taste to it, like it was off. The shop had seating for a few people maybe 15-20, and had both register and kiosk ordering options. read more

The drinks here were good. Stopped by last night and it was busy as all the tables were being used. You order off the monitor and it was pretty easy to use. The workers were standing around in the back waiting for orders to come in. After selecting my drink and when ready to pay, I was promoted to input my phone number and name. We waited a few minutes for our drinks and our order number was displayed on the screen. My drink was just placed on the counter when it was ready. There was no interaction whatsoever with any of the employees which is ok I guess. There was a couple standing at the register for a few minutes probably with some questions and they were ignored. I ordered the mango pomelo and it was good. All my friends liked their drinks as well. read more

I drive from tucson to come here. The first time I had yifang signature fruit tea was in Canada and I was hooked. I've had some in California, Japan and now AZ as well. Love this place. Fruit tea is so fresh. Brewed perfectly, I do 0% sugar with the signature fruit tea. My husband got the watermelon agar tea. Yum! read more

My husband got the mango fruit tea with 50% sugar (recommended) and I got the Wintermelon tea with boba 30% sugar. Both refreshing drinks that I recommend if you're not feeling any of the milk teas. So excited when I heard about this place coming to AZ! Stopped by a few times in CA and the drinks are always so refreshing. Came here for soft opening BOGO deal which featured 4 different drinks, but 2 of them were sold out when we went. We got the Mango Pomelo Sago and it was 5/5 delicious!!! 30% is the perfect amount of sweetness for me, but if you want it a bit sweeter the recommended is 50%! This is a must get drink!! When you walk in you order on the kiosk and can get help if you have any questions. Not many tables for indoor seating. Very clean place. read more

Not sure how this is possible, but they somehow ran out of boba. So instead I got the jelly which was fine but there were also these weird chunks at the bottom which I didn't really like. The restaurant was really clean, smelled good, and had a good vibe. I might try this place again sometime but kind of disappointing that they ran out of boba. read more

Craving some boba or a refreshing tea after your Trader Joe's run? Yi Fang has landed in Arizona, bringing the perfect sweet (or not-so-sweet) treat to the busy corner of University and Rural! No matter what sugar level I'm feeling, the fruit teas and winter melon drinks at this chain have never let me down -- and the Yakult Passion Fruit Green Tea was perfectly flavored and tart at 50% sweetness. We also added some mochi jelly cake for a nice chewy topping. The Brown Sugar Pearl Matcha Latte really impressed me. It was my first time trying a latte-style drink at Yi Fang, and I was impressed that the matcha was high-quality and not diluted. The regular sweetness level wasn't overpowering either. There are only three tables in the store, which seem pretty free on weekdays, but it's a great place to grab and go anytime. So nice we had to visit twice! My partner and I stopped in during the soft opening to grab some of the BOGO drinks- and it was packed! It's really easy to order- there are digital kiosks with automatically applied coupons if you order the drinks with said deals. The kiosks allow you to customize drinks to your perfect sweetness level, as well as your ice preferences and any topping/milk substitutions you may like. The interior is clean and decorated tastefully, with plenty of seating. The first night (unfortunately, I didn't snap a pic as my phone had died) we tried the Mango Pomelo Sago and the Yifang Signature Fruit Tea. The Mango Pomelo Sago was fantastic- not too sweet or bitter. The ratio of grapefruit to mango to coconut was on point and the sago pearls are a satisfying little bite. The Yifang Fruit Tea was also excellent- the recommended sweetness was perfect. The tea was tart and refreshing, and the bits of pineapple and passionfruit were delicious! The cut fruits were also beautiful and very fresh. Our first experience awesome drinks, one creamy and one zesty and refreshing. We liked the drinks so much that we actually decided to stop in the next day after a grocery run. He got the matcha latte (50% sweetness) and I the Strawberry Sago (L). His matcha was not very sweet, but the matcha flavor was good and the consistency was excellent- no grittiness and the ratio of matcha to milk was excellent. My Strawberry Sago was fantastic- the drink itself was like a very fresh (not too sweet, but sweet enough to be refreshing) strawberry smoothie with more of those delicious Sago pearls. Both drinks were delicious in their own ways! As for the service, while on the second day our drinks took longer, all of the employees are friendly and hardworking- there were about 17 orders on the screen when I placed my order and our drinks still came out within 10 minutes. The staff serving drinks to customers also made sure to greet and thank everyone that came in. I had two great experiences at YiFang- I can't wait to see this place cement itself as a part of the Tempe community and will be back soon! read more

Yes! The wait is over, I'm so glad this came to AZ. I'm hopeful they'll expand to the east valley. The last time I had this was a couple of years ago in the Bay Area. And it doesn't disappoint. Wait times are a bit long, especially with their buy one get one soft opening special. The order: Mango Sago Pomelo What hit: The drinks are all very refreshing. Been waiting for this place to open up and it didn't disappoint! First time I had this was in Vancouver and remembered how refreshing their fruit teas were and it was the same amazingness here in Tempe. Got their popular mango pomelo sago drink that has the right amount of sago to mango ratio. The seasonal was this watermelon coconut drink that had pieces of cut watermelon and sago in it that made every sip a perfection. A must try if you haven't had it yet! I always love going to Yifang whenever I visit California. So happy that they are finally opened in Arizona! Like the other locations, this boba shop is clean and cozy.
