Drinks here are a little on the expensive side. Their cheese drink is very different and does not include boba or ice. I have a hate/love relationship with it, I like it and don't like it at the same time. I feel like the "cheese" layer is too thick and it gets messy after a while. I think I started liking it better after mixing the drink up and sipping it that way. Their boba balls were a little undercooked, it wasn't nice and chewy like how I like my balls. Their snow dessert was also a little disappointing. I got the durian and literally there was a little scoop of durian and the rest was just ice. The marshmallow they add on top was stale and doesn't go well with the ice cup, I think adding mochi would be a better idea. Needless to say, not worth it. Their tea however was very good so I might be back for that. They have a 10$ minimum for cards which I think is ridiculous because most things are under 10, meaning it's forcing you to get something else. read more

Alrighty y'all. I dun did it again. 2nd round and this time we tried the Cheese Gyukoru tea and cheese jasmine tea. The cheese is NOT what you think it is. It's this awesomely delicious salted caramel but whip cream version, sitting on top of ice cold tea. Now. Get this. You have to drink it at 45 degrees. I may not have mastered this well because my siblings and I ended up with cheese mustaches. And as lazy as we are, we shoved our boba straws and sipped away. I tried mixing the cheese into the tea, doesn't taste the same when it is separated. But my sister ran into the issue with only cheese on the bottom of her cup. Overall, interesting. We voted yes for the Jasmine tea, as that seemed to have more flavor compared to the green tea. Although, it may be because the green tea may have been watered down too much. :) read more

PSA: THE CHEESE TOPPING IS BASICALLY THE SALTY CREMA!!!!!!!!!!!! Freaking out here. Ever since I discovered the salty crema from Sharetea in the bay area, I have been obsessed. It's renewed my love for milk tea, and reminds me of when I first discovered what milk tea and boba were in high school. Boba Tree is actually good and comparable to the better California milk tea places. Going back to my story - I had been looking for milk tea places that offered the salty crema topping, and seeing "cheese" on the menu piqued my interest. Could it be the salty crema?! YES, IT IS. They tell you to sip the tea so you get a bit of both crema and tea in every sip, and it's perfect. However, if you choose to take it to-go and have to use a straw, you need to mix it all around so you don't just end up drinking 100% tea and don't reach the crema until the very end. Honestly, the cashiers told me not to mix it, but I actually LOVE mixing at least half of the crema with the rest of the tea. If you're wondering what the "cheese" tastes like, it tastes almost cheesecake-y and also a tiny bit salty. If I'm being completely honest, I wish the crema - sorry, "cheese" lol - was saltier. Actually, if I'm being super super honest, I'd drink an entire cup of just crema regardless.. IT'S SO GOOD LOL. I had the oolong cheese and peach cheese milk tea. Both very good, and you can tell the tea is high-quality. I definitely want to come back and try the other cheese flavors. BTW, $10 minimum for card charge. The venue is super cute. I like all of it. For a first impression the cashier was a little rude & the drinks are extremely overpriced. I ordered the snow durian that was not worth $7 & my friend ordered the cheese rose tea. The cashier didn't even bother to ask if he wanted boba in his drink for being a "boba" shop. So we didn't know we had to tell her until after they made our drinks & she said "you're supposed to tell me before." Well...how are we supposed to know if it's our first time being here? Quality of the drinks & customer service are a bit lacking but the aesthetics of the place is nice. My drink overall just tasted like ice with small, weird pieces of what felt like plastic but whatever. Cheese foam is overrated not worth the $6 for a regular tea. Boba Tree is my favorite tea stop! The teas are the perfect balance of sweetness and the boba is always well cooked. I love to have banana milk tea during the summer months! My favorite teas are the traditional milk teas with boba and all of them are amazing! (yes I've tried them all) The interior is always clean and the staff is nice & quick at making your order. I always wanted to stop by as I go to asiana market quite frequently. Today before stopping by the market I decided to come by and grab a quick beverage to go. I was fairly impressed with how busy it appeared to be and I ordered a matcha latte with boba. It came out beautifully but unfortunately this was probably one of the worst matcha lattes I've ever had. It literally tasted like a large cup of warm milk. I let the people working and they added more of their matcha mixture to it but there was like nothing they could do to fix it, it still tasted like a large glass of milk. I swapped for a Thai milk tea instead it's not the best and still just pretty much tastes like milk but I didn't want to cause anymore of a hassle because it was getting busy. Lot to like about this place. First of all, this place has the only cheese foam tea in Arizona. It's not for everyone though, I like how the taste changes as you drink more. M favorites are the Japanese Cheese tea and the jasmine cheese. You'll like any of their fruity summer teas also, can't go wrong with super grapefruit or crazy fruit teas! Boba milk teas are really good here too. Especially they make the boba fresh during shift and they nailed it with the texture and the overall taste. I don't recommend the snows here, they lack a flavor in the snow, it's basically some ice with lemon zest and fruit on top. It's a unique drink that I've never come across before, although I think my cousin said it'd more prevalent in certain parts of Asia? So what it actually is is tea with some sort of cream on top. Personally, I really like the cheese foam drinks. I've tried the Japanese and Peach one. When you mix the foam in, the taste becomes different. My friends have tried a sip of it and haven't like it, so it's personal preference if you like it or not. The decor is super nice. Lot of stuff from IKEA haha (e.g. potted plants, cactus stuffed toy, etc.). Between each 2- and 4- seater tables, they put a 6 plug outlet. Sooo, rest assured you will have an outlet for yourself. Boba Tree would be a good place to study if the wi-fi wasn't terrible. But, alas, it is. You're looking at something on the internet and then you get disconnected and you see an error page. I was so excited to try this place cause my friend told me about the "cheese foam"! My wife and I got the Cheese Lychee Tea and the Taro Milk Tea. The cheese foam is the same thing as having salt with your hot chocolate. It creates good balance to your drink, and the cheese tastes is very very very subtle. Kinda tastes like the cheese in the middle of those ritz crackers. The Lychee was good and not overly sweet! What was cool about it is if I shook and mixed the cheese foam evenly with the Lychee tea, it tastes like a totally new drink! Kinda like a milk tea with a hint of fruitiness. The Taro milk tea was alright. A little creamy for my taste, and I wish it was sweeter to draw out the Taro flavor more, but then again, it could be just me. NEGATIVES What was weird is that when my wife and I both ordered our drinks, we ended up forgetting to get boba in them! ‍‍!!!! Could totally be our fault, but I also realized, most other places, when you're ordering your drink, the person will be like "do you want boba with that?" or something like "would you like to adding toppings to your drinks". So that was a bummer, but it could have been a rare occasion that only we experienced! Also, if you order the foam drink, it's gonna be room temperature, and that's the exact opposite of what you want especially in the summer time in ARIZONA ! So sweet and artificial tasting that I had to toss and waste. My boyfriend had the lychee cheese and it was tasty and had matcha powder sprinkled on top. There's restrooms inside and seats, too. Snacks are sold here too, which I tried the mango crepe and durian crepe - they do use fresh fruit but such a small amount with the whipped cream. Soooo, I had heard about this place, thanks to my yelp buddies and what a great place! Located in an easy to access shopping complex, there is plentiful parking. It did take me a few minutes to figure out what I wanted and the staff was very patient and helpful in answering any questions. I decided to order the "Cheese Oolong" tea which came out pretty quickly. I did not know what to expect because I pictured a tea with a block of cheddar floating in it, but boy, was I surprised! The "cheese" part of the cheese tea is like a whipped fluffy cream cheese which blended very well with the oolong tea! Which was weird because they could have used a lot more ice in their drinks, lukewarm milk tea isn't appetizing. There are better boba places closer to my house that don't have watered down milk tea. Not a ton of caramel flavor in my drink, but tons of banana flavor in my boyfriends- his drink has made him a fan of boba after refusing to try the boba places by my house. Used to come here a lot when they first opened but drinks have really gone down hill since. I usually order the matcha latte with boba or the crazy fruit tea. The latte series are becoming more and more bland, while the crazy fruit tea is so sugary now I can't even taste the natural sweetness of the fruit. Not to mention their prices are on the higher side. Yet they still charge you extra fees if you use card for transactions under 7 dollars. They usually blast the music here so it's not ideal to work/study. But the workers are pretty nice about turning down the volume if you asked. Plenty of parking, and facilities are decent!
