We enjoyed this soft serve shop. They had Ube, Coconut, and an Apple Pie special for July 4th. The toasted marshmallow on the cone is delicious. And we both agreed Coconut was the best flavor. We also took pints Pandan, and Yuzu home to try. Yuzu was an intense lemon sorbet. Pandan was a creamy nutty, vanilla, green flavor. The black cones are nice and crunchy, they remind me of brown sugar/caramel flavor. The shop is cool retro 80's. There is a green area and they provide blankets for ice cream picnics, a nice touch. Its infuriating to spend $27 dollars on two cones, and then the cones are so stale you cant bite through them and had to throw them away. When we made the complaint that the cones were stale, the lady that served us said...oh I know its humid, but there is nothing we can do about it. This blows my mind!.... There are so many things she could have said, such as... I'm so sorry, that was the case. Is there any way we can make it up to you? I've put a complaint in with the manager. Any way to try and make the situation better. Cones aren't stale in florida, and it's humid, maybe try just fixing the problem. Anyways just disappointing. read more

What a find! Onyx was recommended by friends, and it was a great find. Their soft serve ice cream is amazing. They offer 4-5 flavors at a time, rotating the selection every few days. The soft serve is so flavorful, with intense flavors, especially, their Coconut Onyx. They color their soft serve in bright colors that have no relationship to the flavor. They are fun! You can choose either a cup, or, their sugar cone. If you order the ice cream cone with marshmallow, they surround the cone top with marshmallows and then torch it. It's delicious. For $9 for a scoop of ice cream, I would have expected it to have a richer ube flavor. The Thai Tea was just as disappointing and couldn't taste the flavor of Thai tea at all. This was 6/10 The Oynx Coconut ($9) was very sweet and didn't have much of a coconut flavor. It was extremely black so expect to have a black tongue after! Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon while out doing a little bit of shopping. I saw this spot had some unique ice cream flavors and black ice cream cones, so we wanted to try it out. The Ube/Onyx Coconut swirl was a delicious flavor combo, the ice cream itself was just the right consistency and really hit the spot on a hot day. The cones were a bit hard, so I think if we stop by again three our of the four of us would get a cup instead. The addition of adding on toasted marshmallows is a nice touch, it smelled great and my mom loved it on her cone. My daughter tried the sea salt. It was pretty tasty as well, the salt wasn't overpowering. The décor inside is fun & cozy, when we stopped by there was no one else there so we had our choice of seating. read more

This place was fun, I really loved the colorful, modern decor around the shop. I came here with a friend on a Tuesday evening, and we were the only ones there. The owner was there and answered all of our questions and made some recommendations too! I decided to try the Thai Tea and Ube combined flavors. My friend and I found this soft serve spot after dinner nearby and decided to come here after looking at all the positive reviews. Although the soft serve itself was pretty creamy and the ube was solid, $20 for two cups is kind of diabolical. The flavor also got a little too much and heavy after a while. Not only that, the cashier who served us was unfriendly and we did not feel welcomed - however, he treated the people who come after us with a higher level of service. After eating Ramen at Mensho this was only a minute walk away as it is the same complex. There are a few more restaurants in this complex and I recommend having dessert here after dinner. The inside had a cool vibe with neon lights and a digital menu board. All of the flavors are soft serve and they rotate flavors. They have something unique here which I never saw before. There is an option of getting your cone torched for only $2! I was extremely interested and the young lady working here described what it was and I was sold. She bastes the cone with marshmallow and then hits it with the torch. I paired this with the Ube ice cream and it was a great combination. There is some seating in the shop and we ate here. Stopped by with the wife and got the ube/coconut cone with the marshmallow torched on the outside. We also got a sample of the saguaro (prickly pear) and Thai tea and a matcha latte. Talked with the owner and he said he likes to come up and experiment with different flavor combos and makes the cones fresh. It clearly makes a difference as Onyx was delicious. I'm a sucker for soft serve but this was exceptional with tasty flavors that weren't too sweet and was balanced well with the crunchy waffle cone and ube/coconut flavors. This flavor may stain your lips but I thought it was funny looking goth for a day. The interior of the shop is pretty cool as well with a Miami Vice future vibe. We finally made our way over to Onxy and WOWZERS does it live up to the hype. The inside is super cute and cozy. Yes, there are the Cure lyrics on the floor. The whole place has an indie-cool feel that lends itself to taking photos (complete with obligatory neon words on greenery backdrop wall). We got our cones with freshly torched marshmallow rims. Highly recommend you do the same. The flavors are not ones (or colors) you typically see at other ice cream places. Flavors rotate but we were able to enjoy Matcha, Ube and Sea Salt. The soft serves has a perfectly smooth texture. It does melt fast but hey, we are in a desert here. Service was friendly and helpful. Walking is through everything and recommending the toasted marshmallow rimmed cones. The spot is a must for all cold treat fan but it's also a great place to go for a date night or family treat.
