I wish I could eat ice cream every single day of my life, but I can't, so when I'm out of town and on the road I take advantage of all the ice cream places I can. After having some dinner down the street, I came across Churn and knew I needed to come and check this place out. This small ice cream shop had a pretty big line on a Monday night when I arrived but it moved quickly and the ice cream looked dang good in the glass display. I decided on getting a two scoop waffle cone with Cookies & Mint and Milk & Cookies. The ice cream tasted super rich and super creamy, both flavours were very good. Overall, Churn is a top notch ice cream parlour and a place I would probably frequent if I lived in Phoenix. The ice cream here is great, the staff was friendly, and I really wish they had some non small and medium t-shirts because I would of left with one. Great spot. read more

I first found out about Churn when I visited Windsor for happy hour. They are conjoined and share the same front/back parking lots and patio. Like literally you can walk between the businesses in the same building. I tried them for the first time during a Windsor/Churn Yelp Elite Event but have since visited Churn alone on my own afterward! I really liked the seasonal flavor milk and cookies because the chocolate chip cookie included in the ice cream is one of their cookies they serve separately anyway, so you know it's good. It had a sweet cream base. My sister and I shared a triple scoop for only $7 and satisfied the both of us. The interior is pretty small, but there's at least patio seating in the back and a bench out front. I'm excited to try other seasonal and permanent flavors in subsequent visits, but for now I love the milk and cookies too much to try anything else and would definitely return for just that! read more

The line isn't bad before 8 pm, after that, it's so long it's lining up outside the door. There's barely any room to wait in line inside. After having a weird experience at Windsor, the vibes were 10/10 at this place next door. I had a coupon for buy one, get one ice cream scoop, and this place definitely had some awesome flavors to choose from! Cookies, macaroons and lots of toppings are available to add onto your purchase. Churn also offers a selection of gifts for purchase and ice cream pints to go. I ended up purchasing a grow your own crystal maple tree and am looking forward to setting that up. Jeff helped me with my order and was a breath of fresh air! It had been a minute since I have been to Churn and I definitely forgot how good they were! From the moment we walked in the service was topnotch. The gentlemen behind the counter was telling us all about the fan favorite flavors, his favorite and encouraged us to sample their many offerings. I tried the chai and the vietnamese coffee. They were both delicious and perfect for the fall. I opted for the espresso affogato with madagascar vanilla, because you just cannot go wrong with the classics. The cookies I actually just didn't like-- I've only had the snickerdoodle. The marshmallow torched topping though- delicious. Being in AZ in the dead of summer, I wanted a cool treat, and found this ice cream spot via a search on Yelp. The front of house is small, no tables or chairs; not sure if the small hallway led back to seating or just a restroom, so plan accordingly. I was torn between their Grapefruit Buttermilk and Peanut Butter flavors, so ended up getting two single-scoops of each in separate to-go bowls. I can 100% confidently say WOW! Both were fluffin fantastic! The PB was so creamy and full of a genuine savory peanut butter flavor not just bland sugar. I ate the Grapefruit Buttermilk scoop a few days later, and double wow!
