    matcha?
    Deysia C.

The brownie and tasmanian cupcake were not too bad. I wouldn't go back but i did enjoy the desserts. the matcha latte was unfortunately one of the worst i've had, it was grainy and brown. i ordered a matcha latte with agave and strawberry. I didn't finish a quarter of it, and it was 7-8 dollars. The employees were okay! Overall a very average experience.

Nami is hands-down my favorite spot for vegan dessert. Yes, the soft serve can be a little pricey, but honestly it's worth every spoonful if you find what you're hankering for -- light, fresh, rich, and so much to choose from. They always have fun specials on the board but look at all the menus on the counter too. The variety of bakery keeps it exciting, and I love that it never tastes overly heavy no matter what I get. It's my go-to treat when I want something indulgent especially ice cream during summer. My favorites are (all gluten free) the bundts, donuts, soft serve of life's a peach with vanilla, fruity with strawberry mixed berry and chocolate syrup with swirl, rocky road (very chocolatey) and the orange creamsicle (very sweet though). You'll find what you're looking for here. Don't over think it, just go! 080525

Nami is the cutest little vegan dessert spot and it is busy!! At least it was on a Tuesday evening when I went there! And I can tell why because they have scrumptious vegan delights and vegan soft serve -- I love a good soft serve. My friend and I walked over to Nami after eating dinner at Green New American and at first we only noticed the specials above the counter, but there was a whole other menu when we got up to the front so it was so hard to decide! My friend had the chick o stick special -- I can't remember what else was in it but I think it was vegan chocolate chips? I had the chocolate cake with swirled soft serve -- that was so good I can't remember the full name I was too busy eating and getting a brain freeze to remember LOL. There was a nice buzz inside and everyone was very friendly -- who wouldn't be eating delicious sweets. By the time we left there was a line out the door and standing room only. While we were eating our soft serve specials I noticed that they have an amazing vegan breakfast menu, so obviously I will be coming back to check that out!! Overall I was very impressed.

Swirl tsoynami with hard shell, caramel sauce, and gluten free wafer

I'm here writing again since I've been back many times since I wrote my review one year ago. I gotta say I used to be obsessed with this place but it's gone slightly down, but just slightly. I find that if I don't have great toppings/mix-ins then it's just an okay tsoynami, because there's only three flavors (vanilla and chocolate and swirl). And it's plant based so it's lighter which I appreciate but it's just different than regular dairy ice cream. I love how they have new combos to try out, most times they're not gluten free but sometimes they are! I will say I always appreciate the about of gluten free mix ins, the gluten free wafers are my favorite. They had a chocolate hard shell at one point and I loved that but they got rid of it so quickly, not sure why it couldn't stay. Their pastries are also tasty, love the cheesecake that happens to be gluten free! There's also a cookie creme sandwich that even I think is too sweet, only need a few bites of that one. All employees are always so nice. There's typically seating but if you go on weekend night, the line can get long really fast. Indie, vibrant vibes inside, it's cool. Super nice stop after a meal at green!

I ordered an espresso shake with chai and a caramel drizzle and it didn't have much caramel the first time but the folks inside were nice enough to remake it!

Nami is a classic spot for me and my girlfriend. We usually come for the vegan ice cream (we're not vegan, it's just really good) or we grab coffee and walk around the beautiful neighborhoods nearby. The staff is always so kind and quick with preparing our order. To be honest, I haven't had any of their food yet, but if you're looking for a fun sweet treat for a date or early coffee & scenic walk, this is a great spot to hit up.

This review is for the dessert only. I eat dairy free and rarely get to enjoy an ice cream- let alone one that is full of tasty treats. There are plenty of gluten free options here as well. I ordered the rocky road tsoynami which was very tasty. At first it seemed like the add ins were only on the top, but to my delight they were mixed in throughout the ice cream. The service was friendly and prompt. I will say the seating options are limited as it is a small place and the chairs aren't the most comfortable so I wouldn't plan on staying a super long time.

Vegan PB Chocolate dessert was to die for! Wish I had more room for all the vegan desserts! Will come back next year for Spring Training.

If you have not been to Nami, this is your sign to give this place a shot! Nami is all vegan bakery and coffee shop. I love the soy ice creams here. Baked goods are also available here and they're delicious as well. Recommend the cookies and cream but I prefer the plain vanilla. It's so creamy and great for a hot day. Service is always nice and we are able to get our orders quickly. It's a small bakery shop with cool and interesting art.

Update Review Nami's has been very consistent with their drinks and pastries. Every time I go here, I love how they do things. Cookie Butter Bliss- This drink is seasonal. I wish they can keep this as a secret menu like Colados not far away. The main difference is they use cold brew coffee with cookie butter. I asked to add almond milk to mine. I wish they would have a larger size. Worth it for cookie butter fans that can't have dairy! The Hunk- They have been consistent with this pastry with shredded coconut. Overall Nami's is great place to go. The Giving Tree next door is permanently closed. Just go next door to The Green American which is also I believe owned by Nami's.

Good place to order vegan desserts from. I got a custom vegan German chocolate cake for Friendsgiving from this location. The online process is easy or you can call. The cake was a little dense and dry but good tasting overall. The service was amazing, but the food is overall very pricey. Great for special occasions or custom orders.

I've been coming to Nami for the past 9 years and I've met so many exceptional counter staff! We've brought endless friends here and our kiddos have grown up eating the delectable soy & vegan treats that we absolutely love. They have never disappointed in service or flavor and we recommend them to anyone and everyone!

The coffee is amazing, and so is the açaí bowl! The bowl was so filling, fresh, and delicious. While enjoying your treats, you'll love the intimate environment. It's small, which is perfect for a first date. I had a lovely time chatting with the staff, and their recommendations were on point! I will definitely be back. I highly recommend this small business for someone looking to relax, journal, or catch up with a friend.

What are the "must-try" or the best menu items here?

Definitely the tsoft-serve! Any of the sundae flavors are amazing! The butterfinger dupe is absolutely incredible and is hands down my favorite!

Do they have any oil-free options?

The baked goods are not oil free, but the ice cream creations are. You'd have to get oil free toppings as well... so no cookies n cream or peanut butter, etc.

Do they have anything gluten free here?

lots of options! they always have gf baked goods, ice cream, granola, cookie dough...on and on!

Does this place adhere to the hours posted? I've been twice now in the evening and they were inexplicably closed. Bummer because the other time we visited their machine was…

They do stick to their hours unless the power goes out! That happens sometimes during a big storm

    Is Nami pet-friendly?

    Yes. Patio outside.

How are the shakes here? I always go straight for the Chai Tiramisu nami, but I've always wondered if the strawberry shake was worth the drive over here

The espresso shake is my go to! My dairy eating friends had no idea it was vegan!!

I can't speak on the customer service as we never left our table and our waited just walked over and got what we needed. We were pretty stuffed from our massive meal, but we decided on sharing a cup of gelato just to satisfy our sweet tooth. I peeked inside as our table was right at a little walkway from the restaurant to the bakery. Gelato is just one of many things they serve here. They also have all your typical Italian desserts. Cakes like tiramisu, pastries like Italian flag cookies, cookies like Italian wedding cookies, cannolis of different varieties, and of course gelato. What was suggested to us if we wanted gelato was the hazelnut flavor. I was expecting a little cup for the 6 of us just to get a taste, but what he brought over was a massive serving. I don't know how many scoops it was or even how much we even paid, but we all got plenty with some even left behind. Now this gelato was life changing. Probably the best I've had in the states. I know it's gotta be way better in Italy, but I'll take what I can when I can. Think of a Ferrero Rocher but in gelato form. It was delicious and I couldn't get enough of it. It wasn't overly sweet and it had a little crunch with bits of chocolate and hazelnuts. My sweet tooth was extremely satisfied after having dessert here. While I was still in NYC with my family on XMas eve eve, it hit me... I need to bring something besides wine everytime I go to their home. Nor a Southern dish. I wanted something unapologetically New Yaek. And what's more New Yawk than a box of classic Italian cookies? After asking a few Yelp friends where to find the best Italian cookies in Phoenix, The Sicilian Baker kept coming up. I called them last minute on Christmas Eve eve, having never been there before, totally sight unseen. First of all, their voicemail is hilarious. Truly. If you do nothing else, call just to hear it. It will instantly make you want to order something. Once I reached a real person, I explained my situation, that I wouldn't be able to come in beforehand, I needed a beautiful cookie tray for about 14-16 people, and I had a few must have preferences. Without hesitation, they said, "We got you." I was assured it would be ready when I landed on Xmas eve. Sure enough, after my partner picked me up from the airport, we headed straight to The Sicilian Baker. Parking right out front, a huge plus. As soon as you pull in, you're greeted with Frank Sinatra playing, not just inside, but even in the parking lot. It sets the tone immediately. We walked in, gave my name, and within minutes a lovely young person brought out my tray. Ten minutes later, we were on our way. Easy. Efficient. Warm service that made me actually grab a small box of cookies to drop my besties home on the way outta there. I didn't even realize at first that there's a sit down restaurant next door where you can relax and enjoy something. Great to know for next time ;) . Now, let's talk about the cookies. Yes, they are on the pricier side, but every single dollar was worth it. The tray was robust. Classic Italian pastries across the board like lobster tails, tri-colored almond cakes, cannolis, and all the favorites you hope for when you're trying to impress a room full of potential inlaws. And impress it did. The moment I walked in with that tray, it was a hit. People were already claiming which pastries they wanted, plotting what they'd take home, and hovering before dinner was even finished. There was more than enough for 16 people, grand is the only word for it, which is my style 1,000%. To this day, they're still talking about those cookies which makes me phenomenally proud (and humbled). I say this in all my reviews, "I hate almost everything. I'm discerning. I'm critical. And when something truly represents what I stand for - quality, authenticity, and heart, I will shout it from the rooftops". The Sicilian Baker delivered New York level excellence in Phoenix! Do not walk, runswiftly to this place if you need a gift, a show stopping dessert, or simply want to treat yourself. I cannot wait to go back. Highly, highly recommended.

The pastries on the shelves literally speak to you, they actually beg YOU to "pick me, pick me". Your biggest dilemma here, will be how do you want to eat your gorgeous calories. These delicate pastries are absolutely delightful. We got three... 2 for there, 1 for home. Waaaaa! It was such a far drive we should have gotten 6! Storytime: They are VERY hygenically aware - a bit over the top -- but I do appreciate that, especially since they are self serve to the public (the public I don't really trust when it comes to hygine, lol). Even though it's Scottsdale, I am still skeptical. Ok, here's the protocol: You are suppose to open up the pastry doors, use tongs and put your little blessing of a selection your tray, then you pay at the counter. (BTW, this self serve part is not very French!) A few people that were choosing their pastries were a bit rude, hogging the windows, not getting out of the way for others, chatting in front of the doors blocking others from being able to make a choice and letting their kiddo press up against the glass witht their fingers and mouth. I know, I know, this place is like DISNEYLAND for Pastries.... it IS TOTALLY EXCITING! I don't blame the cute kiddos for their excitement. I turned into a 4 year old here as well. I am just sharing the experience! Then when one of the 'overly bejewled kinda oblivious ladies" went up to pay for her chocolate croissant, and asked for it to be warmed -- she was told "that can't happen, because the croissant might explode in the oven and they don't ever heat the pastries that have fillings!" The shocked woman, could not believe that. After she expressed that she didn't want it if it wasn't going to be heated, the man behind the counter took her pastry away and told her what other pastries she could pick out to be warmed. She insisted that she would put her chocolate croissant back on the shelf as "she didn't touch it." The guy behind the counter, said, "Oh no, we can't do that. If it comes off the shelf and if you don't want it, because we can't warm it, we have to throw it away!" She was appalled that A. they would not warm it B. That he wouldn't let her return it to the shelf for another to have and C. That he was going to throw it away. I wanted to sweetly suggest to her, 'Why don't you just eat that gorgeous scrumptios thing? It will be great even at room temp.' However, she looked a little aggressive so I didn't speak my thoughts outloud. I don't hold that against the shop. I thought to myself all the work late at night and early in the morning that went into making these gorgeous pastries! Whomever is up baking them is a real gem in this world. THEY are literally ART! Parisian streets are lined with gorgeous pastries, but American's can hardly ever find a shop like this one. Let's LOVE THESE PEOPLE!!!!! I fell in love with watching the cake baker frost the rainbow cake. I thought, "this would be such a fun job!" See my video : ) She is so talented and so fast. I wanted to take a class from her! I do think it would be nicer if a person behind the counter served up the pastries, but in truth they have way too many choices probably to do that. However, they could put a sample out in a case, and keep the ones they serve to customers in the back, like a dougnut or bagel shop. Just pastries for thought! Enjoy this place. I wish so much we had one in Seattle. I was visiting Phoenix when I found this treasure chest of a place. Absolutely WONDERFUL! PS the man behind the counter didn't give my Mother in Law her turkey baget she ordered, after we paid for it. Waaaa.... that was a bummer and it was too far across town to go back. I don't hold it agains the adorableness of the shop and still give it 5 stars and still will go back everytime I come back home. He was brand new and being trained and we didn't think to look inside our pastery box... we had just assumed it was in there, only to find out, when we got home it wasn't. Regardless, 5 stars and these pastries and the chefs deserve the rewards!

So Amaya girl ur customer service is not it. Came in today our first time and we're standing in…read moreline. She calls us over and was like "next time you were in the other line that's for pick up only" and I was like "OK well it's not there's no sign that says that like it literally just says enter here like how is somebody supposed to know?" .you could've had a whole different approach as to go about saying something you know what I mean, you were kind of rude about it.. As for the food, your whole team for everything they have no idea what safe it's not safe if certain things have cross contamination. it is mind-boggling to me. They have all these people, and none of them know not even the people in the back know. My husband got two different types of donuts and a ham and cheese croissant. It was OK. It was pretty good. He said I had the macaroons a sleeve cause I was apparently the only thing but who knows right who knows cause you guys have no clue they're horrible. They tasted like nothing like air. They had no flavor noticing flavor just very bland. Would we come back no. But thanks
