Stayed at the Hilton cliffs during a soccer tournament and we were given vouchers for pointe in Tyme. We made sure we used it every day because how could you go wrong with free breakfast? Unfortunately the first day their French toast was frozen! I had to tell a worker that they had to bring that batch back in just in case. Thankfully after that the rest of the days were good. I enjoyed their sausage, they had a charcuterie board and fresh fruits. We really liked their potatoes and my kids enjoyed their bacon and eggs. They also have breads /oatmeal/juices and an omelette station. The staff was attentive and super friendly. The place is a good size for diff size parties. We also loved the hotel! Although the atmosphere and the food were great, the Service was very very poor, 15 minutes to receive a drink after ordering Ronnie, the server Never came back to ask if any one needed anything else Could not or would not split the check. This restaurant is in the middle of a resort and it was a little hard for us to find in the dark. We had a few people with limited mobility and there seemed to be a lot of steps both at the entrance and down to the main dining room. Fish and chips were really good and service was great (Sarah, I think?). The menu gave more sports bar vibe which didn't match the seemingly dated upscale decor. Just a bit of a disconnect there but very reasonably priced for what seemed to be a nice resort. Side note. As we were walking out, security followed us and waited for us to get down all the steps (which took a while) and then chased us into the parking lot asking my wife if there was anything we wanted to tell them. She was confused but he kept asking saying someone had called security. She asked if there was a problem and he said "you tell me". Still not totally sure what happened but we didn't witness anything inside and we certainly weren't any party someone would call security on. This restaurant, located in the Hilton Tapatio Cliffs resort, was quite a drive for us. We were lucky to find a spot right outside, but they're not too many parking spots directly in front of the restaurant. This place is lovely. There are beam ceilings and lots of dark wood and a big fireplace in the center of the room. There are tables and semicircle booths and the windows have pretty diamond panes. The crown and glory is the gorgeous bar with carved wood everywhere. It is absolutely beautiful. As soon as we sat down somebody brought us water and we looked the menus while we waited for our server. There is no cocktail menu, but there is a full bar. Our cocktails were very, very good. We ordered: *Lemon Drop cocktail *Amaretto Sour cocktail *Blackened shrimp tacos *Buffalo wings *Southwestern chicken breast with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus Everything was very good. The wings were so large and saucy. I loved the sauce in my chicken breast. We were afraid that it would take a while to get our food because we came in just after a large party. We did not have to worry because everything came out and perfect time. The only negative is that they allowed a guest to being a barking dog (clearly not a service animal) into the bar. Uncomfortable to other guests (barking) and against health code. I hope to come back in winter because I'm sure this place is so cozy in a cool, dark night with a fire in the fireplace. read more

We made reservations to have a bite after seeing a Christmas show nearby. The menu had great comfort food items with a more upscale twist. The garlic fries and quesadilla were a big hit at our table. The staff were all really friendly and took pictures for us near the fireplace and Christmas tree. It was a warm and inviting place. I took one star away because the website address leads you to the hilltop restaurant. It's a more upscale place to eat. The staff there were unfriendly and of no real help to navigate us to the correct restaurant by the golf course. They just said it's down the hill to the right. This is part of the hotel. We ate here for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast buffet was good, omelette station and pretty much everything else you would see at a hotel breakfast layout. It was good and there wasn't much other breakfast places. Dinner was different. This day was Sunday so many of the guests have checked out so there wasn't a lot of people eating there. I ordered the smashed burger which was just a double burger not flattened. It was a typical premade burger and it was okay. The truffle fries were okay nothing special about them. My wife liked the club sandwich but interesting enough is that we lost our waitress towards the end of the meal so we had to wait for refills. Pointe in Tyme is a bit of an institution. It's got that old school dark wood that you don't expect to see in AZ but it's pretty cool. I was there for lunch recently and they just changed up their menu. It has a much better variety. Shared the hummus and chicken quesadilla apps and we all had salads for lunch which were really good. Unplanned visit to this Hilton Resort as a result of Airline challenges and this place helped put the evening back together. 3 of us in the party, we were seated promptly and with their Full Bar available, I opted for a Bulleit and Coke. The potato dipper appetizer was amazing! The potatoes were crispy enough to hold up under the toppings, but still fluffy enough for that potato goodness. The queso had great flavor and the pork was tender. The plate was scraped on this one. Lol The burger... my goodness! I ordered medium well and it was so juicy and seasoned well. Very enjoyable. This is the mid-level restaurant for Pointe Hilton. It's spacious for large parties, has everything from burgers to steak and pasta on the menu and the servers are friendly and attentive. Located inside the Hilton resort, PIT was open for brunch and so we tried it. Breakfast was served buffet style, and it was hands down the best buffet style breakfast I have ever had. We went back to try it again and we were not disappointed. They had egg bake, potatoes, bacon, French toast sticks, yogurt and toppings (fruit and granola), and oatmeal with toppings. Spent a night at the resort and ate here 3 times. Twice for breakfast and once for dinner. For breakfast it is buffet only. There is a crabby hostess who takes your money as you enter. We thought this was so odd. Then you seat yourself but you aren't allowed to sit in the room where the buffet happens. We were very curious about why not, but never figured it out. We sat for about 10 min as we were waiting for our daughter, but no one greeted us nor came for a drink/coffee order. Finally I asked the couple at a table near us who explained it's ALL self serve. They have plastic cups and water pitchers here and there. There was a coffee pot. All were located by paper/plastic cups. I wanted a Diet Coke, so I had to ask the woman making omelets for help. She directed me to the bar! Anyway, once we got all of that established we went to get food. I want to say--the food was great! Way better than we thought!! There is an omelet station, oatmeal with fixings, scrambled eggs with or without cheese, French toast sticks, chicken and pork sausages, bacon, fruit , berries, yogurt with toppings...pretty basic, but we enjoyed it. For dinner you seat yourself as well, but there are servers and a menu. I didn't have high hopes as it was 6 on a Saturday night with only one other party besides us! A few more parties came in after us. We had the potato thing with pulled pork- loved it. My daughter had the burger and I had the shrimp with pasta. It came fast and PIPING HOT. We LOVED all our food! The server was great. All in all- way better than these reviews seem to say. Not the fanciest or gourmet, but it's all solid and in a lovely setting. read more

My wife and I and extended family recently had a delightful lunch at A Pointe in Tyme on 7th Street in north Phoenix. The food was great, the atmosphere was comfortable and the service was great. We ate in the upper Pub area with a nice view of the fireplace below. The restaurant has old world charm with dark wood paneling. We weren't rushed and the table had a cozy feeling to it. The breakfast buffet is lacking flavor, the roasted potatoes were dry, so was the bread and chicken sausages. The only highlight is the made to order omelet. The breakfast burrito from the regular menu was pretty good, however the server was asking to share one which I thought was rude, the burrito was big indeed, but didn't care for the server's attitude, he also asked if we needed boxes when we took a couple of bites, wow....... Dinner was also OK, my flat iron steak was overcooked and boring, the broccoli impossible to chew. Prices are very high for the quality of the food. read more

While staying at the Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort, we visited Pointe In Tyme a couple times and enjoyed each visit. It's located a short walk from the lobby and near by the tennis courts/The Falls Water Village at the resort. Pointe In Tyme is a warm and inviting establishment here on the resort grounds featuring American cuisine in the forms of sandwiches, burgers, pastas, salads, seasonal dishes and traditional favorites (a steak dish, chicken dish, fish dish etc) We sat in the bar area each time which features bar seating and some tables around. There were quite a few TV's as well for any sports or other entertainment. The bar was a full far and featured draft choices for beer as well. It was a bit dim each time we came in but it was a very nice modern looking atmosphere with dark woods. Linda and Keith took care of us well each time as did others who were around. Service was excellent and very efficient by the whole team. Food/drinks arrived pretty promptly as well. Portions were very good and everyone enjoyed the food and drinks. What was ordered: -Chips, salsa and guacamole - Some chips were a little over salted but otherwise very good and didn't seem old. Salsa was good as was the guac. -Potato dipper - Potato skins with pulled pork, a cheese Sauce and pico de gallo. So good! -Caprese salad - Tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, pesto sauce. Good! -Calamari - Friend ordered these and enjoyed. They were lightly breaded and crisp. -Mac & Cheese - Large portion with chicken. Looked good! -New York Steak - New York steak, roasted garlic-chive red skin mash, sauteed asparagus, caramelized onions. Steak was tender and cooked nicely as requested. Good mash and nicely cooked asparagus. Great! -Chicken Breast - Southwestern rub, garlic chili hominy, roasted squash. The problem was the food didn't seem to have been kept very warm. 20 feet to our table and the eggs, potatoes and meats were cold. The potatoes and bacon were tastey but the sausage was flavorless. Different Point of View was booked for like a week out. So this was the only option for sit down indoor dining at the hotel. We walked in and there were maybe 5 people at 6pm. We should have been a warning sign. We ordered calamari, a ranch salad, caprese tower, angus burger with fries and a few cocktails. The burger was good but cooked to order. Waitress was super accommodating and had them cook another. The caprese tower was actually really good. The calamari was chewy not tired enough and the salad was just okay. The staff was great but the food left a lot to be desired. They have a breakfast buffet that we want to check out but as for their dinner it's a hard pass next time. read more
