This is a gem, they have been around since 1987. This old world Italian eatery with a veal heavy menu, a formal dining room & a small bar. We had an extraordinary dining experience from the entire staff. They serve fresh bread made from a local bakery, it is warm when it hits the table. I got the creamy pesto linguini with grilled chicken, it comes with a salad and soup. Everything was very delicious and the service was beyond great! I had a bite of the stuffed manicotti with marinara sauce, oh wow! I got the creme brulee and my friend got the lemon cake.

Christo's has been serving the valley since 1987 A staple in the Phoenix area you'll find this neighborhood gem. A casual dining experience, excellent customer service and home cooked Italian food. Best served at a table with great company, sharing the same food experiences. What a great evening Thank you @christosristorante for your hospitality. 6327 N 7th St Phoenix AZ 85014

My husband surprised me this evening and took me outside of our 2 mile dinner "zone" to Christos. Wow! This place was so welcoming from the minute we walked in! The friendly service, the elegant, classic dining. The food was fresh and tasty. The waiter Ryan was friendly and knowledgeable and our bus person Brian never missed a beat- the waters were full, plates removed, to go boxes provided, and smiles throughout the night. Several managers and the even the owner came by to ask how the service was, which was amazing. This place really sets the bar for restaurant service! We will definitely go back!

If you want to be transported back to the 80's visiting family for an old school Italian dinner, look no further. We loved this charming spot in Phoenix that's family owned. When you arrive there is a few parking spots in the front but plenty more in the back with a back entrance clearly labeled. Walking in you are quickly welcomed and seated at a table beautifully set like grandma's and white linen tablecloth. Our server, Scott, was an adorable older gentleman who took the time to make us feel like we've been there a thousand times and is so happy we're back even though we told him it was our first visit, it was just good to see us. A warm small loaf of bread tucked into a linen and old fashioned bread basket with pats of butter is brought to the table while you read the menu which has so many choices and we will be back to try! House salad has a nice honey mustard vinaigrette and the chicken noodle soup is definitely homemade which it sure seems like everything is. Husband loved the veal meatballs appetizer and we both really enjoyed our entrees of Sausage Zingarella (Schreiners sausage) and Shrimp in a white wine sauce over cheese ravioli. For dessert the lemon mascarpone cake is a must. Overall this place is an absolute gem! If you're into aesthetics you might want to pass and that's your loss. There are mirrors on the wall, glass block throughout and it's almost 40 years old so there's that funky smell initially but everything else makes you forget that very quickly. I'm thankful we tried Christo's and we definitely will be back again.

The staff was exceptional!!! Michael was an excellent host, the manager made sure we were taken care of throughout the night, and all the staff members signed a personal "happy birthday" card. They comped two desserts and shots for the table to celebrate. Would absolutely come back for lunch, dinner, or to celebrate a special occasion.

    Ossobuco .... So good.

FINALLY have my phone back!! It's been awful not being able to write here. So we came for dinner to celebrate my birthday and hadn't realized how long it had been since I dined here. The restaurant still makes me feel back home, but this time the friendly, great italian server wasn't in our area, - I wish I'd made a note of his name - and the difference was noticeable: there was nothing 'wrong' per se, just small things like having to ask for things like a knife and then water and wine, and waiting a while for them to come ... it wasn't the same awesome experience but we had a lovely meal and a good time. Foodwise some of the offerings have been americanized, serving spaghetti as a side. Ahhhrgh. Maybe I just didn't notice last time? Never, ever do Italian restaurants have a first course dish as a side, only vegetables and salads. The good news was the Ossobuco is still on the menu, tender and very good! The vegetables were nicely cooked, nothing special. A little olive oil and lemon on them would've been even better for my taste. The Sole Meunière was fried and not sautéed in the butter, white wine and lemon sauce; the fish was cooked nicely but fried isn't what is normally expected. As I was raised with salad as a side or a main, I don't like the salad and soup included automatically: I like to pick what I like to eat and how to have it cooked; having said this the potato soup and the salad were nice but I do recommend the salad be served in a shallow bowl or at least a regular-sized plate because trying to eat while keeping it all on the small one was an adventure. We had some wine of course, a Santa Margherita white and sparkling water, with a nice Sambuca coffee to end. The restaurant was really nice and sent out a birthday dessert for me. We had a good time dining and catching up after the holidays and will be back again for sure. Since my new phone was being a beast and I couldn't login forever I couldn't post that night; I did take some pictures and made a comment underneath.

I've been wanting to check out this place for some time now so when I saw how amazing their restaurant week menu was I had to indulge. It was everything I hoped it would be and more. The service was honestly some of the best I've had in the valley. The freshest bruschetta I've had in forever. The entree came to the table extremely warm and very filling. I'm was impressed with the timing with all our food and how it came out considering how busy it was. Also, don't skip the dessert!!! Tooooo delicious. Can't wait to go back and try other dishes. I can see why they have been around for so long.

GOOD! inspired by taco bell's baja blast hahahah). they TREATED us to all three of their current desserts on the menu. it was the most pleasant surprise i could've imagined. my favorite was the flourless chocolate cake! it was like a thick, rich brownie, had passion fruit cream to "lighten it up" and a caramel-like taffy on the bottom my brother and sister-in-law both said their favorite was the gulab jamun (which is basically like little fried dough balls/donuts, influenced by indian flavors and spices). the mille-feuille was also fantastic - the pastry was light and airy, cream wasn't too sweet and also very light, shaved cheese on top made it have a savory bite, and the jam alongside it was strawberry rhubarb. service is always amazing, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable; it seems like everybody working here truly enjoys it. quite literally already have a reservation booked at valentine and will be coming back here beforehand. update: came back for more drinks (fernet & coke, spaghett western, negroni) and their lamb flauta. all AMAZING! and amazing order to whet the appetite before dinner at valentine.

I absolutely love the atmosphere and it's not high energy. Very relaxed which is great for me. The food was good. We got the basil pesto ice cream and omg. Divine. The pesto ice cream honestly was lije pistachio ice cream. It worked amazing and so refreshing. Underneath was a lemon ice thing that was exquisite and very palate refreshing. It tasted tart and like lemons. Not crunch. Soft ice. One thing though. The drinks weren't bad price. Average for tha area. The only thing is the bar tender made all of our drinks very strong. Most people think that's a good thing but honestly all I could taste was booze. I ordered a whisky sprite (7and7 spoof) and wow I could only taste whiskey. Every sip was booze booze and more booze. For the cocktails I wasn't able to taste any of the ingredients since it was so strong on the alcohol. Definitely moneys worth I guess lol. The bartender though was very nice and knowledgeable about all the drinks. Could explain all the drinks and the different types of alcohol. Not bad. Definitely would come back. Super cute for date night or a small gathering night out since space wise isn't huge.

The servers kindly moved us to a table on the far side of the room. That was really helpful. The food was ok. Creative dishes, but they were a bit bland generally speaking. The squash salad is a fabulous idea for a fresh salad that is different - but if they'd added some olive oil & lemon juice and a sprinkle of salt, it would have been great. It was a bit dry and not well dressed. Octopus salad was the same - I really wanted to like it, and I took half home (just because I was full) when I added olive oil and lemon juice and Salt & pepper, it was great. The meatballs were pretty flavorful. It's called a Wine Bar, but there was not a big selection of wines by the glass. Part of what makes a wine bar fun, is having a lot of choices, and perhaps a flight or two. They did have a few unusual wines. But there are so many wine bars (or restaurants with really good wine programs), you're going to have to expand your selection a bit to compete.

It's the kind of restaurant that makes getting dressed up feel exciting and worth it, and I absolutely loved that about the experience. It felt like such a perfect date night spot or place to celebrate something special. The servers were also extremely attentive the entire night. Everyone was friendly, professional, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling overbearing. The service honestly matched the upscale atmosphere perfectly and made the whole experience feel even more polished. And OMG... the food. SO SO SO SO SO GOOD. Like genuinely one of those meals where every single bite makes you pause for a second because it tastes that incredible. I got the chicken orzo along with the lime icebox cake for dessert, and both were absolutely amazingggg. The chicken orzo was phenomenal. The lemon flavor throughout the orzo was bright, fresh, and flavorful without being overpowering, and the tomatoes were the PERFECT addition because they balanced everything so well and added a little sweetness and freshness to the dish. But the chicken... wow. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside while still being super juicy and tender inside, which is honestly hard to do. Every component of the dish worked together perfectly. Magnificent is genuinely the best word for it. And the lime icebox cake was the perfect ending to the meal, refreshing, creamy, flavorful, and not too heavy after dinner. Honestly, I'm sitting here craving the food again just looking back at the pictures I took. This is definitely one of those restaurants that sticks in your mind long after you leave.

The restaurant itself is very cute and clearly designed for photos, which matches what I saw on their Instagram. Service overall was fantastic. The food, however, was just okay. I ordered the burrata and fig plate and was told they'd replace the bread with apple slices. I received five very small slices of apple, and when the plate was set down the waitress said she'd get more if needed. I later noticed I was charged $2 for an additional five slices, which together didn't even amount to half an apple. Ironically, the bread that comes with the dish would have been far more substantial. The burrata was fine, but nothing memorable. My friend ordered the chicken and brussels sprouts and didn't even finish it before having the plate taken away. The flourless almond cake was the star, a bit salty on its own, but with the ice cream and whipped cream it was a delightful combo which were the highlight. Overall, this is a great spot for cocktails, ambiance, and photos, but the food is fairly mediocre compared to the setting.
