Many of our Phoenix friends have recommended this place and we're glad we listened to them. We stopped by a couple weeks ago and had a wonderful first experience. Nice wine selections, delicious bites, and friendly/helpful staff. They offer several wine tasting flights (3-2 oz. pours for $19), as well as by the glass or bottle. There are also several non-alcoholic options, as I was unable to imbibe on this visit. WINE & FOOD: My wife tried three different tasting flights, the Diamond (white wines), the Ruby (red wines), and the Amber (dessert wines). My mother-in-law had a glass of the Moscato D'Asti from Piedmonte, Italy ($13), and I had a non-alcoholic Copenhagen Sparkling Tea ($14) and a Diet Coke ($4). We also tried their Spinach & Artichoke Dip ($15) and the Italian Meatballs ($19) and finished it off with the Lemon Berry Mascarpone Cake ($13). Everything was delicious and all selections were perfect for the wine flights we paired them with. Bottle prices were reasonable, and we left with all three of the dessert wines, and a bottle of the Arneis. NOTE: I heard that the Turquoise Wine Bar Glendale has recently been awarded Wine Spectator's 2026 "Award of Excellence". We really enjoy our times at Turquoise- the wines they serve are outstanding. We have attended different events, from Comedy Night, winemaker dinners to just bringing friends for a night out. Their patio is wonderful to bring your dogs and they even have 'Barkuterie Boards' for your furry friends. Their food they serve are light bites but you can combine them and have a lovely meal. Their wine club is really nice and there are pickup tasting days monthly. We have met so many nice people here! From the servers to the other customers it feels like family. I cannot say enough about how amazing this place was last night for my husbands birthday! Carolyn was sooooo friendly and helpful and encouraging with the menu! Finally got to visit this nice little wine bar. Had flatbread and the Pinot Noir from WA was excellent and very fair price. Service was good and nice patio outside also, my only negative was I felt I needed to wear a pair of sunglasses inside, those chandler lights need to be dimmed lower, I think people in their 40's and 50's look better in lower lighting read more

But at one point our server completely disappeared and possibly clocked out for the night but did not tell us or have another server tend to us. Friends from a wine club recommended this place as they carry wines from Washington which we miss and enjoy. We arrived and some other friends were already seated on the patio so we joined them after checking in with the folks inside we joined our friends. Immediately we were provided menus, but that is where the good service ended. Two tables sat down after us, also were provided menus and their wine and even a flatbread were served prior to anyone coming back to see if we would like to order wine. Finally flagged down the waitress, we ordered a Ruby and. Garnett flight as well as a charcuterie board. Wine arrived shortly after, but the charcuterie board did not. Flagged the waitress down again, asked her for waters and inquired on the food. She said she would check on it and off she went. Our friends closed out and left, we finished both flights of wine and asked for the check. Check still had the charcuterie board on it which we explained had never arrived. No apology for poor service or not delivering what we ordered, a simple "I will remove that". I'm the 20-25% tipper for good service, and a simple "I'm sorry" would have been fine as mistakes happen. Bottom line is poor service from the start, no follow up to check on us, and no apology for not bringing the food after 30 plus minutes. Cute place excellent for small groups (2-4) get together. The decor is clean and very pretty, bathrooms are clean too. They have bar and table options as well as patio sitting area. The inside tables are close to each other so not much privacy. I think it could benefit to have louder music to help with that. Really awesome dog friendly cellar! They patio is small but is shaded and quiet. Their staff is very friendly and welcoming. We tried the bubbly flight which was very delicious! Stopped in because I had been hearing some great things. At first when I walked in they were a bit busy so I was briefly "ignored" but overall service was great. I was so happy to find this place. I was looking for somewhere to take my pup with me and I love this patio. There are dog bowls outside, and an awesome option for a bark-uterine board with doggie friendly foods and treats for only 5 dollars! My husband and I also met both the owners of this diamond in the rough! Both were very knowledgeable and friendly, answering some of our questions about their wines. Visited here for the first time after getting my first tattoo across the way at Olive Branch (scheduled my appointment so I'd be done by 1pm, opening time here at Turquoise, heh heh...). So glad I came here! Paul was a great host, the kind you can talk with for hours. Tasted three flights; each sample sized pour brought a smile. The wines here are affordable and not overpriced. The ambiance is welcoming; the food menu is irresistibly tempting; I took home and enjoyed a savory vegetarian pizza, which was made by an aspiring young chef working in the kitchen. I stumbled across this quaint wine bare and was very happy I did! You definitely need a reservation. I ordered their delux charcuterie board, meatballs and a bottle of wine. The board came with multiple meats, cheeses, grapes, dried cranberries, nuts, tiny DELICIOUS baby dolls, olives, spinach dip, crackers & pita. This was plenty of food for two! You can even sit on the patio where it's dog-friendly (you can get a barkuterie board!) the patio is equipped with lamp warmers for the winter season. Each time I step in to Turquoise Wine Cellar & Tasting Room I become a little more enamored. Small and cozy, it is just a fine spot to sit, relax and sample a terrifically varied selection of wines you'll not see elsewhere around town. Come in and settle into a comfy chair at one of the intimate tables or grab a spot at the small bar. There is also a nice patio area to post up in as well. You'll find a great selection of flights to sample: various reds from bold to light, whites, sweet wines, bubbles... You are sure to find something to your liking. Wines by the glass are reasonably priced and the pours are generous. There is a nice selection of food to sample as well: nicely laid-out charcuterie and cheese boards, flatbreads and a really fine bruschetta that has become a favorite after only one sampling. Owners Jen, Laura and all the staff are amazing, friendly and welcoming. You can tell they love what they do and have a great knowledge and passion for the wines offered. If you're looking for something in particular they are sure to have the perfect recommendation. Turquoise offers regular wine tasting events spotlighting various guest winemakers from around the country and the world. A Club membership is available wherein you will receive a monthly selection of bottles. We chose to go with two reds per month but there are a number of different Club offerings in various combinations to choose from. A member wine pick-up event each month gets you samples of all 4 wines, along with a nice selection of food to nibble on. It all makes for a great feeling of being able to enjoy some special wine in a nice setting. And there is always the temptation to peruse the wine wall for something else to take home. Love that wine wall.... So, in closing this somewhat messy ramble of a review it should be obvious that I'm a great fan of Turquoise Wine Cellar & Tasting Room. I almost don't want to praise it too much lest it become TOO popular, but I'm selfish that way. But that praise is more than well-deserved. If I could do a zero rating I would. Food was a complete joke, gross tasting and overpriced. We ate most of the pizza bec we were super hungry but I promise pizza was for sure a cheapo from the frozen section at grocery store. And the salad was ridiculously tiny!!
