Such a wonderful experience from start to finish! I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted by the bartender, who walked me through the specials and drink menu. I had several questions about the cocktails, and he was so helpful in guiding me toward the Hemingway's Muse -- which was absolutely delicious. Not too sweet, perfectly balanced, and exactly what I was hoping for. For dinner, I went with his recommendation of the steak box tots and OMG... so good! The steak was cooked perfectly, and the box tots were these amazing little mashed potato bites with a crispy outside. Absolute perfection. I rarely order dessert, but at this point I trusted his recommendations, so I tried the ricotta lemon stack. Again -- superb. It was definitely more lemon-forward than I expected, but the presentation was beautiful and the flavors were delightful. Even the bathroom was impressive -- such thoughtful little touches, including flossers! The service, food, drinks, and attention to detail made the whole experience feel special. This was my second time here and if I were basing my review on just the first experience, I would give the establishment 4 stars, but this visit there was a disappointment in a dish and it was handled very poorly by the manager. I will start by saying it's a shame because this place has real potential! The crafted cocktails are the highlight as they are beautiful, original, and tasty. The food is good for the most part, but some items are overpriced. An example is the bisque cheesecake at $15 as it was on the small side, round about the size of a flan. It was presented nicely w berries, but not worth $15. I am from CA and not even there! The main issue I had was with the ricotta, pesto and tomato jam jar. This was more like pesto, with Ricotta. The Ricotta being listed first by any culinary standard should be the main feature. But the tapered dish had a small amount of ricotta at the bottom, about a fourth, then half the jar full of pesto, then top fourth of tomatoes.(see picture). I couldn't even dig down to get the ricotta and the huge amount of pesto was overpowering. I politely brought this to the waitresses attention by kindly saying I wanted to give some feedback and explained the expectation and that there was very little ricotta and hard to get to it. She handed me a spoon and a plate and I tried in front of her to get to it and said that's not working. She did say she would give the feedback to "them", but did not offer to replace it or fix it. Perhaps offering to bring more ricotta? For the rest of the evening she did not address the situation and I only ate two small bites and sent the entire dish back. At the end of the meal when I saw this was added to my bill, which I should add was $84 plus tip, over $100, w ricotta being $18 for just me not including the other two at the table, I asked if anything could be done about the ricotta dish that I did not eat. She said she would ask, but came back and said her manager said no because this was just my preference!! I felt sorry for the waitress. If the wait staff is not empowered to resolve these issues on their own then the manager should have come to the table! I said okay, paid the bill and left. They lost a repeat customer!! **Contrary to what management stated below, no accommodation was offered or made besides handing me a spoon and a plate. Also, the promise to discuss w mgmt was not followed up on until I received the bill and reminded the waitress which felt like avoidance, 1.5 hours after I sent the dish back. Perhaps there is a communication breakdown or misunderstanding, but my issue was the excessive amount of pesto (a sauce) and small amount of ricotta. Management prefers to argue and defend (without the facts) vs find a solution and humbly accept feedback. I am a manager myself in the luxury market...and customer feedback is at the heart of growth. read more

3/21/26 We returned and it is as good as we remember. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was perfect for our date night. The ONLY thing we would give a 3 star was the prosciutto wrapped pears. The pears were closer to an apple with a crunch and had almost no pear flavor. This was an amazing experience! We loved everything we ordered. We started with cocktails-smoked old fashion, Pearly martini, the special scarlet martini and I forget the 4th. I really had such high hopes for this place. It's a beautifully decorated restaurant with a great outdoor patio. The food was beautifully presented and tasted good (not great). The menu offers plenty of choices, and we appreciated that they include gluten-free options. They also make it clear they don't serve condiments since every dish is "perfectly seasoned" -- an interesting touch, though a bit rigid. The real issue was the service. From the start, the staff repeatedly emphasized that they couldn't accommodate groups over eight, however, they eventually sat our larger group at two nearby tables. Our server, came across as condescending. When we asked about pulling over a couple of chairs, she refused, saying the patio would fill up (it never did). When we expressed our disappointment, she replied that not everyone "understands their concept." (And yes, take a look at the restaurant's previous replies to reviews -- they reflect a similar tone to what we experienced.) For me, good food and friendly hospitality go hand in hand. So this place we stumbled on thinking it was a bit more sports at than what it is. This is NOT a place to watch the game, this is however an amazing spot for a date! I was surprised by how big the portions were and definitely over-ordered for the two of us and our table was pretty small for all the food. It was all delicious! We go at least once a month, the food is always flavorful and the presentation adds to the experience. It is a small restaurant so it is reasonable that the wine selection is small. Made reservations and arrived early, no traffic on the 10/303. Ask if we could sit at the bar till our reservation time was told no but our table was empty so we could sit there but they were short servers so we would have to wait. 10 minutes later we ordered drinks while looking over the menu and listening to the live music, first time here. 10 more minutes and the wine and Manhattan arrived and we ordered the Burrata special. This was very good especially the tomatoes with the burrata and six pieces of bread. We then ordered mussels and stuffed mushrooms and another round of drinks. The French Sauvignon blanc was not to my wife's liking so she ordered a special martini and I ordered the smoked old fashion, really great. We got the mushrooms first and they were good so worth the wait. The mussels on the other hand were 1 minute over cooked and on the small size which could be why the chief missed the three closed ones being served and only two pieces of bread to soak up the sauce, should have saved the extra bread from the Barada. For desert we had the Lemon stacked with ricotta which we totally enjoyed. Over all this was a hit and miss dinning experience. Loved the atmosphere, live music. The timing of how the dinner progressed could be improved as for some of the food items. Not sure I would make the drive to go here again. read more

Met friends for lunch on a quiet Saturday afternoon. A few tables were in use but we were sat towards the back which was nice & intimate. Candace was our server and was ok. Efficient but not overly friendly. There was a mix up with one of our orders going to another table but not sure that was her fault since she hadn't delivered it. I mostly enjoyed the honey garlic shrimp served with cold mango white rice for $17. Wish the rice was served hot (menu said cold) and the mango was a bit more tender but the shrimp were delicious! Their menu is extensive, from shared appetizers, heartier type meals and desserts. The drink menu was two full pages and all looked beautiful. We had never been here so when we planned it for my husband's birthday last night, we didn't think we would need reservations. We called just to be sure and were told the only place they had for our party of six was on their couches.
