My husband and I visited this location about two weeks ago. Since it's the closest one to us, it's very convenient, but it can also get extremely busy because it's located near the Prasada shopping area. Parking can be a challenge, especially during peak hours. If the main lot is full, you can usually find additional parking in the nearby Costco lot and walk over. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made for a great experience. The wine tasting area is much smaller than the Avondale location, which has a much larger and more spacious setup. During our visit, we learned about the bonus bottle program and received helpful wine recommendations and tasting tips, which we really appreciated. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. If you're looking for a quieter visit, I recommend going during the week when it's less crowded. My only suggestions would be to expand the wine tasting area and improve the parking situation. Do NOT come here if you have a special event. They will not prioritize or make your special requests a priority, even when booking it into the special request section. Today is my 28th anniversary. I made a special request, for a booth where we could sit side-by-side. All in their notes. And, through OpenTable, it actually shows them it is actually your anniversary. When we arrived, at our 5 o'clock time we were told they couldn't accommodate. Said we could sit at a table. No thank you. And they put us in the far back 2-seater face to face table, where it is a stretch to even hold hands. I was emotional, 28 years! Told the waiter when he asked 'how's everything going today.' He asked. So in tears I answered. About 5 minutes later, the manager walked by and in tears I told him too with 'why ask for special requests if you can't make it happen?' I got a sorry. So I made a new reservation at our favorite Scottsdale restaurant and we left. And yes, I did tell the hostess that they could give our table to someone else. The manager was there 'are you sure.' I'm torn on this review because while the food and our server were incredible, the initial experience at the host stand was really disappointing. Our waitress was absolutely the best! She was so kind, super attentive, and made a point to make eye contact and engage with everyone at the table. It was my dad's birthday, and they brought out a birthday treat for him, which was such a nice, thoughtful touch. However, the check-in process was very uncomfortable. The host who greeted us didn't make eye contact with me at all, a person with a disability. Instead of speaking to me directly, he asked the person I was with if I needed a child's menu. As an adult, being talked about rather than talked to was rude and honestly pretty embarrassing. It would have been much more professional to provide standard menus for everyone or just ask me directly if I needed anything specific. The kitchen definitely knows what they are doing. Everything came out hot, fresh, and delicious: The bread and butter were warm and a great start. We had the bruschetta and a shrimp appetizer, both were hits. Our table ordered the cheeseburger and fries, the salmon, and two orders of the short ribs. Everyone loved their meal and had zero complaints about the food quality. The restaurant was packed and had a high-energy vibe, but the music was way too loud, it made it a bit hard to talk. The lighting was also a bit strange; it was very dark, and at several points, the lights would flicker or completely turn off and on again, which was a bit distracting. If you want to go on a Sunday evening like we did (6:00 PM), definitely plan ahead! We made our reservation a couple of days before, but by the time our day arrived, they were completely booked. I'd recommend making a reservation at least a week in advance to be safe. I would definitely come back for the food and the excellent waitstaff service, but I really hope management works with their hosting team on how to treat every guest with basic respect and direct communication. read more

We celebrated my 40th birthday here last night and the entire experience was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. We began with a wine tasting and were taken care of by Jaylen (I hope I'm spelling that correctly). He was truly outstanding. His customer service was some of the best I've experienced anywhere -- incredibly warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. He made the tasting so much fun and took such great care of us. The wines themselves were incredible, and he helped make the experience feel special and relaxed rather than rushed. After the tasting we stayed for dinner, and the experience somehow got even better. The service throughout the evening was fantastic. Our waitress was wonderful -- attentive, kind, and thoughtful without ever being intrusive. I unfortunately didn't catch her name, but she absolutely helped make the evening feel like a true celebration. We started with a bottle of Vin Velouté, which was unbelievably smooth and delicious. For our appetizer we ordered the crispy Brussels sprouts and I was completely blown away. The flavors were incredible -- easily the best Brussels sprouts dish I have ever had anywhere. For dinner I ordered Dana's Parmesan-crusted chicken with tomato basil relish, lemon butter, Betty's potatoes, and green beans. The dish was light, fresh, and perfectly balanced. Lemon can sometimes overpower a dish, but here it was done flawlessly -- bright and flavorful without taking over. Every component of the plate complemented the others beautifully. I desperately wanted to try the crème brûlée because it's one of my favorite desserts, but after the wine and such an amazing meal I was simply too full to do it justice. Instead, we were offered the birthday truffles, which turned out to be the perfect sweet ending to the evening. Everything about the night -- the wine, the food, the service, and the atmosphere -- made my birthday celebration truly special. We had a reservation for a standard table inside but they asked if we could sit outside. Another group also was asked to consider another area as well. Likely getting us seated faster, but next time I'll pass and wait. Outdoors the heaters are up too high to make a huge difference and some tables don't have a heater above them. The road to this busy shopping area is also nearby so it's noisy and you can smell smoke from the sidewalk if someone is smoking outside. They did move us in the end. We also don't drink so wine wasn't rated here but my goodness if you do they have quite the selection! Fortunately, the team allowed me to order a replacement entrée, and I went with Dana's Parmesan-Crusted Chicken. That dish was excellent--rich in flavor and definitely a standout. The chicken tortilla soup, on the other hand, was underwhelming. It tasted more like a basic tomato soup with Southwestern seasoning and lacked actual chicken or depth of flavor. This was honestly such a disappointing experience. Yesterday, after my niece's dance recital, we stopped by Cooper's Hawk around 3 PM hoping to get on the standby list for dinner. We were a small party, and while I completely understand restaurants get busy, I was shocked by how rude and dismissive the host was. The issue wasn't being told there would be a wait. The issue was the attitude. We were immediately told we wouldn't be seated until 8 PM, with no effort to be welcoming, helpful, or even courteous. We were made to feel like an inconvenience simply for walking through the door. What makes this especially disappointing is that I've been a longtime Wine Club member and supporter of this location. I was even involved with the project during construction and have proudly supported the restaurant since it opened. My husband and I used to spend Friday nights at the bar because the bartenders were always friendly, remembered us, and made us feel valued. Unfortunately, customer service starts at the front door, and yesterday's interaction overshadowed years of positive experiences. The hospitality that once made this location special seems to be gone. As a result, I will be canceling my Wine Club membership and taking my business elsewhere. We went to CH for a last minute dinner to celebrate our 5 yr wedding anniversary and it was our first time going. We had a reservation for 7:15 but was informed it would be more like 30 since they were waiting for people to leave (no biggie) we got seated and the little card said it was our anniversary and our server Stephani said happy anniversary and offered champagne. Sadly I cannot have carbonation and informed her of this but wish she could have offered something else in replacement to help us celebrate. My hubby asked if I could get a glass of the blueberry wine and she said oh no they wouldn't let me do that, but how about going to check and see because you never know?! My hubby wasn't the happiest that she rushed off because he didn't even know what kind of bourbon was going to be in his old fashioned nor did she ask what he would like. Luckily it was bullet. For desert we got the smores bodino and it was tasty, but too much chocolate mouse and the vessel it is in, is not functional. Seeing the layers in the clear seamless wine glass is cute but hard to eat and get into. If it were in a larger ramekin, it would be much easier to eat and the marshmallow layer wouldn't be as thick, making it more of an evenly distributed bite of flavors. My 2 biggest pet peeves were when our server boxed my food, she boxed the scraps no one would ever box (like eww) and the tables just sat there dirty. One table in front of us left around 8pm (close it 9) and it sat with crumbs on it and a glass and then other table left at 8:30ish and it was still covered in dishes as we got closer to leaving. A restaurant should take pride in their appearance no matter how close to close and get tables cleared, plus I'm sure dishwashers would love to have them brought back sooner so they don't have to stay too late. Overall it was good food but nothing to rave over and the serve was just lack luster. Everyone was super friendly, even as busy as it was, with the exception of the female employee working on her computer where you check in. She would not look up to help you, and if addressed directly she was very short and bothered by any customer. The host who took us to our table was engaging. We got a fantastic group of waitresses at our table. Everyone was helping out. We sat outside, I requested patio seating and it was a beautiful night. The road is loud but loved the fresh air. We ordered pot stickers for appetizers and they were delicious. Bloody Mary's were fantastic. Our party of 4 ordered steak and lobster, fillet mignon medallions, & short ribs and mac n cheese - it was the only time we quit talking. Dinner was amazing. Dessert was the banana pie and cookie with ice cream. Both equally decadent. We went back to the lobby and bought a beautiful bottle of wine and looked at their case of chocolates. We love this place, we've been there twice now and must say the chef knows what he's doing. I love that management walks around the restaurant the whole night checking on customers, this is lost on other restaurants and definitely pays off here.
