Wow... the bartender has a LOT of energy and rushed us through our tasting. The white tasting was OK. It was funny that our bartender made statements like, all Chardonnay's are gross but ours is great - when it was actually the worst of the tasting. One of Vitners was also available for questions regarding his Wines. We purchased 2 wine glasses and a bottle of Heart Wood cellars 2020 Kiss, our favorite from our chosen flight. This was a great wine tasting experience here on my Monday vacation day. I did the pink wine flight which was quite reasonable at $12. I found the employee that helped me was very informative and provided great feedback on each of the wines I tasted. I also tried a glass of one of the white selections. It was actually my favorite. If I didn't have a loaded wine cabinet already I would have purchased a bottle. Place is very clean and relaxed. Worth a drop by if you're in the Cottonwood area. read more

Dropped in here to celebrate a friend's birthday. Ordered a zinfandel. Was delivered in a timely manner. The absolute lightest zinfandel I have ever seen and the fruitiest, sweetest zin ever. Not my taste at all. I take it to the counter and ask the employee if this is the correct wine. She assures me that it is. I tell her that it tastes horrible to me. She said sorry we don't make dark red wines. I ask about other wines that appear to be much darker and look like they will meet my tastes better. She says they have Super Tuscan and Cab Sauv. She does not offer to replace the Zin. Turns around and walks off. Buyer and shopper beware, for me and mine we shall not be back. P. S. The music was great! read more

A little belated with this review. My wife and I wandered in because their sign said it was a tasting room and the door was open. We didn't realize until we were at the bar that everyone in the room was working, like hammering and running electrical wires for the stage. Apparently the grand opening for the renovation was going to be that weekend and all the final touches had to be done by then. Still, they took the time to pour us some wine and talk about their tasting room. I felt guilty taking them away from their hard work, but then drinking new wines is a guilty pleasure in itself. Looking at the picture of the tasting room on their website, they did an awesome job finishing the room after we left. The two wines out of those poured for the red flight that I wrote notes about were the Zinfandel and the Sangiovese. Both were wines to remember. read more

While my wife and myself are in no one wine experts we love us some wine tasting. 101 has a great selection of flights (only one I know of on the street with a rose or sweet flight which was a hit with the wife). Vince was working when we stopped in and was a great host informing us on the wine and engaging isn great conversation. I'm shocked by the awesome reviews this place has. We drove up to cottonwood for the night to visit a bunch of the wineries and this was our least favorite by far. The ambiance... Well, there is none. There's bright florescent lights and zero personality. The server wasn't very friendly and made it seem as if we were bothering her by doing the tasting although we were the only people there. Not only that, but the pours were the smallest of all the wineries and they didn't give you a glass with it either. Overall, we all felt like the place was a total buzz kill compared to the cool places right on the same street/block, which is surprising since so many people say it's awesome. read more
