Quick and delightful stop for a bachelorette weekend celebrating my sister! It was near to our weekend home base, so we decided to give it a try. Walking in, it is fresh and cool, with great lighting and good ambience. The owner and staff were really friendly, giving us an overview of the automated wine bar (really cool!) and taps for select beers. Separate from the wines, the owner offered us a complimentary bottle of rosé (very good!) and was very attentive to our needs during our visit. She helped us frame a few really good group photos as well! Best of all, mocktails were tasty and well-crafted, and there was a nice Puerto Rican menu with excellent empanadas. Not a bad place, and I actually became a wine tasting member. However, canceling my membership was a frustrating experience. After three in person attempts to cancel with the owner, Michelle, I was charged again. When I called to ask why, despite her promise to take care of it, she rudely hung up on me. I was not disrespectful; I simply wanted an explanation. No apology, just poor customer service. The place is a bit pricey, but the $55 membership includes one bottles of wine and no free monthly wine tastings. I personally love Cooper's Hawk because they are always professional and provide excellent customer service. $65 gets you two bottles of wine and free wine tasting for two monthly. Everything about this wine bar is A+. The wine was terrific with a great selection. The food was amazing. We had the pan con lechon sandwich with the most tender pork you ever had with a dynamite hot sauce. Also, the empanadas and street corn dip were exceptional. EOY ladies brunch and boy what an experience. There were 8 of us ladies and Michelle, her husband Tom ( I'm so bad with names) and nephew Conner were so gracious to host us at their place MT Barrel this Sunday and we had the best time. They allowed us to use the back room where there was a table for eating but also a place where we could congregate and just hang out. The fireplace was welcoming, the seating was perfect and the food was delish. I think between all of us we ordered everything from the menus and had no complaints. I also tried food from the "secret"menu and the taste of the islands did not disappoint either. We tasted the wine and found what we liked and enjoyed the atmosphere and the vibe.
