Today 7/10/26 there is a new menu that has protein bowls, fish tacos, American burger. Items noted as missing. TAB and Turkey melt. Coleslaw changed from normal coleslaw to a spicy coleslaw. Since my go to's are no longer on the menu I tried something new. I went with the shrimp tacos. This includes two tacos. Each taco has two corn tortillas, spicy slaw, shrimp, avocado, jalapeños and sauce. Sides offered are typical side that go with burgers: baked beans, French fries onions rings, salad etc. The first taco I attempted to pick up and eat. It fell apart immediately. The flavor seemed a little off. I narrowed it down to the coleslaw which tasted like a mix of vinegar and chipotle. It does have spice but IMO it is not good. The second taco I deconstructed and ate just the shrimp, avocado and jalapeños. My fries were good but they didn't go with tacos very well. My son had the fruity pebbles French toast. He said it tasted salty he made it a griddle for $6.50 more. Seems a bit steep for two eggs and a sausage but what do I know? The service was on point as it always is. The restaurant wasn't very busy but it was early evening. Based on the menu as it is now, I will continue to visit as my breakfast go to; however, for lunch/dinner there are other options available for me. read more

What a great place to get out of the summer heat and grab a bite to eat! * Entrance into the parking lot is a bit tricky but that is because of a center median, inlet, and cross traffic from the Loop 101 in Peoria at Thunderbird Blvd. *Parking is good with a generous amount of disabled parking! *Tons of available seating in the dining room, bar, and patio with tons of NATURAL lighting! *Bathrooms were extremely clean and well stocked! *Service was amazing! We decided to stop at Haymaker for dinner, little did I know I was going to be blown away by the chef's creativity! All of a sudden, I craved a bacon hamburger, BUT I also wanted the BEST pancakes that are made here. Our very knowledgeable server, Josh, asked, "so why not combine both?" I thought about it and asked if it could be done. Of course it was gonna get done, I was at Haymaker! Josh came back with the MOST succulent hamburger ever- the Maria Burger! He said the kitchen named it the "Maria Burger", and couldn't stop talking about how good it looked, I couldn't stop talking about how DELICIOUS it tasted! We went 2 months ago and were 100% disappointed. An older female host told us we could sit and just wait for at least "10 minutes" to sit at the bar! The bar was totally open and the female bartender motioned us in. We promptly left. Giving them one more chance,,,,,,today was wonderful. Alex welcomed us into the bar and was very attentive. From the name of this restaurant I wouldn't have thought that this was a breakfast/burger/BBQ join. My friend said they serve up some great breakfast, so decided to give it a try. Inside has a country like homey feeling. They serve breakfast all day and they have a bar which is really cool. Ordered their peach mojito and classic eggs benedict. Peach mojito went down great, peach flavor was delicious! The hollandaise sauce was a little too thick for me but my friend love it. Found this place while searching for a "kids eat free" restaurant and it did not disappoint. They serve breakfast all day which is nice for a Sunday for our family. Conveniently located just off the 101 and plenty of parking here and lots of dining spaces available for all size groups. The food is homestyle and quite tasty. Homey ambiance with friendly staff. Had a pretty "free" morning so Wife, the Baby, and I decided to get some breakfast. We frequent the Goodwill around the corner from here so we said "let's check this place out". We got around 9:30a and it was pretty busy. We waited a few mins but nothing too crazy. Menu had a lot to choose from and everything sounded good. When it comes to breakfast I'm pretty basic : Chilaquiles or Eggs Benedict. When i saw the "Huevos Benedictos" on the menu you could say they found a way to bring both together. The chorizo and their Chipotle Sauce, along with a perfect poached egg, really brought it all together peeeerrrfectly. This dish was simply DELICIOUS wife and the baby enjoyed their food as well (didn't get a close up picture ) The cherry on top was our server. I'm terrible with names but he was a tall, older gentleman. I believe i noticed a leopard print like tattoo on his hands. The food here is hit or miss. Some days it's good, some days it's not. They absolutely cannot learn how to take orders for groups of 6+. We have waited as long as 45 minutes for the last person in our party to get their meal after the first person received theirs. Some days the food is not just late, some days they forgot to ring it in. Some staff are absolutely amazing, some are not (cough, Josh). Let me preface this by saying that this was my husband's favorite restaurant, but this is now the second time we come and something is wrong with the food. The first time was about 4 months ago. One of our plates had a hair in the hash browns. Second time, was this Sunday, August 23rd - my husband wanted to eat here as part of his birthday celebration. This second time, there was a tongue ring in my husband's food. Unfortunately, it wasn't noticed until most of his food had already been consumed. Seeing that not only made us uncomfortable, but also brought so many negative thoughts and 'what if' scenarios to our heads. We were so dumbfounded at the fact of seeing a tongue ring in the food that we didn't think to take a picture. Someone who said they were the manager, I don't believe we caught her name, said her staff had notified her of the issue and offered to make us something else. Of course, we declined as our appetite went out the window and we were not even comfortable letting our kids finish their food. We will never be coming back, and if you enjoy not having anything in your food, you're probably better off eating somewhere else with the peace of mind that someone's body accessory isn't in your food. read more

They used to have a location near my home years ago. Met some friends from west valley and enjoyed the food. Haymaker Thunderbird Went there today quite excited for lunch and had one of the worst meals in a lifetime. My turkey melt sandwich, with cheese, smoked bacon was way too salty. Removed the bacon and there was no improvement. My macaroni and cheese side dish was watery the cheese was missing in action, I couldn't find any cheese at all. The real deal onion rings, not minced, had way too much batter. I shall never eat at Haymaker again. read more

Unexpectedly pleasant! Stopped here in between my son's baseball games at Rio Vista Park nearby for a quick bite and a beer. Sat on the patio, which was nice and also dog friendly. Large patio and large bar area plus inside seating. Hostess told me her favorite thing on the menu was meatloaf. My husband ordered pancakes and I wasn't very hungry so got kids chicken fingers which came with three tenders and french fries, which were all really good. Quite a few beers on draft. Our friends had the BAT bacon, avocado, turkey sandwich, and buffalo cauliflower which they said were good. Service was amazing to start, we were originally the second table on the patio. Seems like a round robin of servers to run food & drinks out & to check on you. Once the larger party on the patio left, seemed a little bit longer of a way to see a server check on us. One of my new go to places for fresh donuts. Their donut basket is one of the absolute best. They are hot but gooey and the cream cheese icing is AMAZING.
