Not Dog Friendly OR people friendly. At 3:45 in the afternoon my wife and I went out for an early dinner with our two small dogs (a little terrier and a mini golden doodle). I walked onto the patio to make sure it was ok for the dogs. There is a sign stating that they are a dog friendly patio with a set of rules that we followed completely. I took the dogs through the outer gate, not the inside of the restaurant and walked inside to let the host know we were out there and double check that we could have the two little dogs out there. I was not greeted or even acknowledged, but I warmly greeted the host and the server standing at the counter. Still no greeting. I asked if we were ok to be out on the patio with the dogs and without a word, just a hand gesture to the host, the server was obviously very annoyed by our presence. I asked if everyone was ok and all I got was a steely stare with the host, who never acknowledged me said, "this way" waking me back to the patio. That was almost enough for us to leave, but we hoped they were just having a bad day and would get better with our server. Not to be! Our server was the same, annoyed by our existence person at the counter. Our ferocious mini Goldendoodle gave a little bark, and that seemed to set her off again. I don't know what we did or why she despised us so deeply. She had such an attitude I asked if everything was ok or if the dogs bothered her...just a glare and a "What can I get you to drink. She treated us with such disrespect we asked for a manager and for the sake of time and space got the same treatment. We have been steady customers as a couple and in large groups to this restaurant and the one across the street. We won't be going back and will be letting our friends and family know just how poorly we were treated. read more

The entrance was dark, but dining room was nice and light. The Classic Eggs Benedict was very tasty and the hash browns just the way I like them, crispy outside and moist inside. Very generous portion. I brought half of mine home. My husband had the grilled cheese and was very pleased with it. I think there was only one waitress for the whole dining room. She was friendly but didn't really have time to linger. We will definitely go back to try other dishes. read more

Used to go to Dillons quite often. My wife suggested I take my friend out for lunch at Haymaker. The decor was ok but just pretty plain. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. I got the adult grill cheese. My friend got a hamburger. Both sandwiches looked to just be thrown together. Mine had pieces of bacon sticking out at different angles. My friends hamburger had the lettuce sticking out like it had just been thrown at the burger. The food was fine and tasted ok. My friend said his hamburger was ok. Hamburger is one of his staples and if it had been exceptional he would have commented. If someone wanted me to go there with them, I would. It would not be my choice. The biggest complaint would be the presentation of the food. It tasted ok. read more

Great food, even better service. The sangria tasted house made. The menu options are nicely varied.

HOLY SMOKES! We've tried coming here a couple times and finally we were able to get right in. My husband ordered a build your own Hamburger which was ahhhmazing. Definitely not a frozen patty and cooked just how he asked for it. I ordered the brisket and Omgosh it was so much brisket. It was soft and super flavorful. The best brisket I have ever had. So glad we came here. The waitress was amazing. Loved it loved it. Just a little peice of advice if I may please clean your window sills and where your air filters go from time to time. Short version: love the decorations, plenty of parking, wonderfully cheerful staff, good food. Want to come back and try their breakfast menu. Long version: actually stopped in the first part of February to try the place, and almost didn't find it (thanks to Google maps being wrong). Glad we did find it though, because it was good and hearty. Exceptionally clean, a closed in patio for dining, large eating area. It was an early dinner Saturday, probably about 4:30ish so it was not crowded, which means we were seated immediately. The decor is nice and our server came to the table right away. We both ordered from their special drink menu (winter warmer & maybe it's cold outside). I will say I was slightly disappointed when the winter warmer came out and it was room temp; I was expecting it to be heated up, but maybe that's just because that is how I drink mulled wine. Regardless, it was a wonderfully flavored drink with a nice aroma. The cornbread and friend zucchini were equally good. My sister ordered the beef brisket platter, I got a burger. Both were well spiced. It was a tough decision to pick a meal as their breakfast menu looked just as appetizing. They did have a select few breakfast items still available but not what I wanted. You know what that means? I have to go back for breakfast! read more

Been meaning to come here for a bit. Sad that it was a bit under par what I anticipated food wise. May try again. Had bacon and cheese omelette. Was surprised the bacon was oddly chewy and fatty. Egg part of the omelette had an off putting under taste. Have had probably a couple dozen omelettes in local places in the past few years and not encountered either issue previously. Was a bit hot inside. I'm guessing trying to save money, but comfort is a part of the package in my book. Also the kitchen had very aggressive metal music playing for most of my meal which didn't contribute to a serene breakfast. Weird cacophony when it competed with the laid back modern country in dining room. The good: The waitress I had had a fantastic and positive energy. I'm sure she would've dealt with either issue if she hadn't been occupied when I was experiencing some unpleasantness. The prices seem a good bit less than other places competing in the same sphere. Cool seating The sourdough bread was perfectly toasted and buttered. read more

Haymaker - Interesting half booths. Backing on the black sided portion very supportive and comfortable. Can't speak to the grey though it looks cool. - Burgers Near Me - Peoria, Arizona

Good but not amazing. Went for a late breakfast. Got passion fruit tea, sweeter than expected but good. I got the classic eggs Benedict and my bf the western omelet. Eggs Benedict had a little bit too much hollandaise sauce, tasty but too much sauce. My bf enjoyed the omelette. We both got the tied potatoes. Tasty. Dog friendly patio which was nice. Service was good. Will try again. read more

I love the Haymaker, Thunderbird. I meet with about 15 other guys for breakfast every Thursday. The Haymaker, Thunderbird has a back room for such groups. Our server is always Greg and he is outstanding. He, like the rest of the staff always makes you know that your business is much appreciated. The food always comes out hot and always delicious. The Haymaker, Thunderbird is always consistent..... consistently great!!! One thing does bug me just a little. I am on their loyalty/rewards Ap. Today for the fourth time my breakfast points are not posted. I'm not sure what the problem is. Whenever I go to other Westside Concepts locations, I always get my points. The Ap is a nice perk. I also use it at the Four Corners Taproom and the Mexican restaurant locations..... and the same deal there....always consistently great food and service. I wish I knew what I was doing wrong at the Thunderbird location. read more

Let me start positive by saying the servers were sweethearts. The restaurant was not run down but the floors need a good scrubbing. On a Saturday night, prime time, it was dead but we chose to give it a try based on overall reviews. The fried zucchini slices were the size of a fillet of fish and tasted like it was dunked in the same batter. The sweet potato fries and mashed potatoes were good but that was it. Everything came out barely warm. The bacon on the BLAT was crumbled thin pieces like it was left over from breakfast. 3 stars was generous. read more

In town and met in-laws for an early breakfast. This is a nice, large place for breakfast all day, lunch and drinks. I had the Haymaker Bennie. You get a lot of food. It was good. I really liked the spinach and mashed potatoes on this dish. I removed one star. The service was good, but the server didn't seem genuine, but more like they had to be there and didn't have time for fun banter. Morning people are a must for breakfast service. read more

I generally don't leave reviews for most places, especially when they are not completely positive. Today my wife and I went to Haymaker for lunch. When we spoke to our waitress Kaitlyn who was wonderful, we asked what Haymaker was know for. She told us the BBQ and the Country Fried Steak. I asked her if the steak was fresh made in house or a frozen patty and she said it was fresh made. Well needless to say I was thrilled and ordered that while my wife got the Brisket sandwich. The Brisket sandwich was quite good and my wife really enjoyed it. The Country Fried Steak was quite another story. It was absolutely a frozen patty that was then served on top of some very off color potatoes and swimming in gravy. To say I was underwhelmed is being kind. I was raised eating good country fried steak and I generally rate a restaurant based on that particular dish. Had I known what I was going to get, I would have ordered something else. Perhaps the wait staff need to be better trained on what is actually being served. We will likely try Haymaker again, but it will be a while before we do. Fresh made food is always better. read more

Anticipation was building up as we waited 20 minutes to be seated, so surely this was a favorite brunch spot as we had heard. When we were finally seated, it was next to a noisy group who should have been seated elsewhere as there was plenty of room for a large group in one of the side rooms and not right beside the booths so we had to shout at each other to hear ourselves. I have never been to a place that would not serve at least one slice of bread when you order a brisket platter, but they would've charged me $1.50 for one here and that's just cheap. This being a restaurant and not a barbecue shack, I was very surprised to be served on a metal tray with a piece of thin wax paper that the meat soaked into and I wound up ingesting. The cowboy beans and gluey macaroni and cheese were served in cardboard side dishes and the serving size was so small they should have been embarrassed to serve it: maybe 4 TBS each! The beans were average but the brisket was tender and flavorful even without any of the provided sauce. My friends both ordered the Haymaker Benedicts, which for $17 each did not include an English muffin (so I ask, why bother calling it a Benedict at all if it doesn't have an English muffin?) guess the mashed potatoes are what they use instead so you'd have to pay $2.50 for an English muffin, but you'd think they would at least offer a piece of toast along with the meal. They said they were flavorful but overpriced. The prices for the drinks weren't on the menu, so the 3.55 Coke, 3.25 coffee, and $5 OJ brought the bill up to close to $70 with the tax, and by the time the generous tip was added in since Greg was working mighty hard esp. because of that demanding group, we knew we wouldn't be able to afford coming back anytime soon for no ambiance, small portions, no courtesy bread, and picnic style presentation. These are all fixable things since they have a great product with the brisket, but it's hard to notice when so much else was awry. read more

Great place for breakfast. The food is good and served hot. The wait staff is attentive and cheerful.
